*still laughing hysterically* Okay, WOW! That last little revelation was like a knock between the eyes! This IS the same shaman from "Enemies", isn't it? Great idea! It's rather wordy; I'd recommend breaking it down into chapters. But...I like it. Nice little interlude, and I loved all the little bits and pieces you pieced together from different episodes. Very, very good.

Oh, I love this. Especially the last scene, and the Shaman having to get his aunt away from the ale...

Adding my late review here, because I seem to feel the need to hear myself talk when it comes to your writing :p

This is my favourite of the Genesis series. Possibly because of my affection for the BtVS crowd, especially Giles, but mostly because of the way that you've subtly worked in so many things that appear later in the series, from Willow's growing addiction with magic, to Giles's insight into Buffy's pain, to the Shaman's appearance.

LOL. Brilliant original characters. Love the Shaman. Love the demon custom/human custom compromise. Always love meeting Whistler. Great foreshadowing. Amazing how you managed to weave the story into canon, making it feel like an unfilmed episode.
