I can basically hear the shattering hearts of both Tom and Harry. I even made a plot of Harry's POV.

"He couldn't wait anymore, he couldn't ignore what Tom did. He doesn't want to feel his heart breaking at sight of Tom with another person.

Every time Tom came back, he could see a girl outside the door, smiling at Tom who smiled back. It felt like a hundred of burning knife stabbing into his heart, it felt like a hammer smashed his heart repeatedly.

He doesn't want to feel that way anymore. So... he left. He took off his promise ring, he puts his violin on the bed. He took his trunk and shrinks it, putting it in his pocket. Then, he left. "

I was reading this while listening to 'My Immortal' and the combination made me cry...

I imagined another sentence added to the ending, a very short one, mind you.

"He knew that his eyes were probably puffy at this point but he did not care as he slid to the floor holding both the violin and promise ring close to him, hoping Harry would return waltzing in as he usually did.

He never did."

It was all so touching and if I wasn't so tired, it would have make me cry. This is really a good one shot. I was wondering if you're going to make a sequel through Harry's eyes and his experience of Tom's betrayal and his cheating. And maybe Tom saw Harry happy with another man, his new lover showering him with affection...

No, because Tom deception Harry, I do not think anyone is better than Harry and I think that nothing justifies a hoax. But I know that sometimes we make mistakes, despite wanting someone.

That was sad, You dont know what you had until you lost it.

It's a short story but it made me cry none the less. I love the story for what it is but if there could be a sequel I would be overjoyed.

Omg this is so sad I cried! I mean he totally deserved it. But I still cried.

That was so sad... I'm trying not to cry coz I have a cold and it will make my nose stuffy but the tears won't stop coming. Poor Harry and poor Tom, you can feel his remorse at the end. Would love to see a follow up, even a one shot sequel or chapter, to see if they reconcile or even if Tom tries to do something about it! xoxo

It would be lovely to know Harry version, how he coped with his ex-lover betrayals, how in the end he will heal little by little the hurt and have a new lover... really bittersweet because I 'm a hard Tom/Harry shipper but after cheating on his partner for a long time there's no redemption I think...

I guess the saying "You don't realize what you have until it's gone" has never been more true. I only believe in 1-chance-and-you're-done type of ideal. 2nd chances are for the naive and hopeful, IMO. Unfortunately for Tom, I feel as this is the perfect yet uncompleted ending. The ending sounded a bit unfinished and left off as if you're missing a simple sentence of so. But, I love this ending because Harry deserves someone else and he cannot be held back because of Tom's mistakes. Would you mind writing a companion piece to this? It would be terrific if you wrote it from Harry's POV...just an anonymous request. Anyways, I love your other fics and I look forward to reading more from you!
