And despite the absence of a tempter, they still manage to disappoint her. GLaDOS just can't win.
I'm not offended: I can easily imagine GLaDOS thinking of herself and the bots in that vein. The comparisons matched well. And let's face it, everyone in Aperture has tried playing God as one point.

This was a great story! Although it is a little personally unnerving to see GLaDOS thinking of herself so highly, you pulled it off very well and respectfully (which is incredibly hard to do), and I can even see it happening a little with her. The imagery was also wonderful, and I can't help but appreciate her motherly instinct for the beings she created. There is something beautiful, however small someone might view it, in her being a mother of sorts. And you showed that off very nicely, especially at the end.
Can't wait for more stories, as usual!
