If you an do a fanwork short story this size how are you at doing something original? I scout writers for my anthologies and magazine; you may never know that someone who writes fan fiction may end up getting published for an original. Okay I have to ask for every word count that's a fan fiction piece; how many words can you do with an original piece? I am a published author and publisher been doing the publisher gig for ten plus years; and been a writer for 25 years in October. So tell me if publication is something you're willing to consider because if you are able to do well with borrowed properties what can you do with something that truly belongs to you? The anthology I am working on is a send up of the lock and key library.
