OMG how happy am I that I didn't get to read this until I was on hols when I could sit back in the peace and quiet and fully enjoy it! And enjoy it I did! You have captured both character with the depth and feeling that the creator of this fantastic team, had intended! Hi. I don’t know if you take prompts, but I’ve been encouraged by an Elementary author to send this prompt to other writers as well and since I loved this story so much and how in character you wrote them, I thought of you.

I was listening to “Dust to Dust” by The Civil Wars and it got me thinking of Joan and Sherlock, and how much their personal lives have changed since they first met. So, I thought if you’d be interested in writing something inspired by this song. You know, just both of them, no cases, maybe, having a heart to heart acknowledging out loud to the other how them becoming friends and partners have changed their lives for the better. The line “You’re like a mirror, reflecting me” it’s what propelled me to connect the song to them. After hearing it I thought of them instantly.

The song talks about loneliness, and how it takes one to know one, and from the beginning we can see that both of them were hiding inside their walls, and how that’s changed in the course of the season. The story doesn’t even have to be sexual, though it would fall in the friendship/romantic category, in my opinion. But that's just my perception; maybe you'll see it differently.

I hope you accept the challenge, and I sincerely hope you don't mind that I've sent you this via review. Also, I’m sorry for any grammar mistakes – English isn’t my first language.

I just read it again, and jfc it's better now, if it's even possible. I've read this story at least once a day since you've published it. It's so good.

"I can see no reason we cannot be all things to each other, Watson. But let's not define it. Only we can decide what's acceptable. Not society." This line gets me every time. I can actually hear Sherlock saying this, softly and clear.

OMG this is perfection. Thank you so much for sharing it with us. I have a huge silly smile on my face, and now I have to watch an episode because feelings, so many of them! I wouldn't mind if you wrote a follow up featuring the morning after, you know, if you feel inspired. ;)
