I'm really, really into this story. Normally I don't go for too many pairings on Firefly and since this is not *necessarily* a ship between Jayne and River and primarily just an adorable friendship with romance slipped in, I adore it.
Your grammar could use a little work here and there. Really, I would just recommend getting a beta to proofread because sometimes you'll use an incorrect spelling of a word ("butt" instead of "but") or there will be a minor grammar mistake that could be changed.
I love the way you keep them in character. With a show like Firefly, with so many different kinds of personalities, it's very easy to write someone incorrectly so I applaud you for keeping them so well written. The situation and plot are realistic, too, which just adds to making the reader immersed in the writing. Great job and I look forward to an update soon!

Off to a great start!

Firstly, I found this story on the same day I received my Squishable t-Rex, which I named Jayne to go with my Squishable stegosaurus Wash. Just thought it was fitting to mention that. Next, this is a very interesting story and I hope to see more in the near future.

Sorry not to be a regular reviewer, I tend to read through then review. I love the way you've built story and kept the characters personalities. All I felt when I came to chapter 10 was a giant "Oh No I'm at the last printed chapter, NO... Please continue this wonderful story, I really love your style.
