Oh, no. Here come the tears. Oh god. Despite all my best efforts not to ship Haddotin romantically (I discovered the series in my childhood and there's that 8-year-old part of me rocking back and forth in the corner saying "no no i won't do it!") I keep finding all these brilliantly-written, heart-wrenching Haddotin stories and DAMMIT IT'S SO HARD. Every word of this was gorgeous, I especially loved how the second part is told from Vanessa's slightly detached viewpoint, even though she never knew Tintin, her dream shows that the power of love has to be believed to be seen. Honest to god, this is the most beautiful Tintin death-fic I have ever read. Thank you for writing. :')
