I love this rewrite. And the line about River's hair. I didn't have a clue this minisode existed until I read this. I didn't realise how much my brain needed more River/ Doctor footage until I watched it as well.

Many people complain about the increasing "superpower/weapon" aspect of the sonic screwdriver.

Anyway, I liked the original, but I like this too. To me, it really wasn't that big of a deal either way.

I was excited to see someone other than Moffat reference or include River-usually other writers ignore her existence entirely. Yay for Gaiman! (I know the short itself credits Moffat, but the page where I watched the video had an interview with Neil Gaiman, talking about how that was a mix-up and that it was actually his).

When I actually saw the short, aside from the no plan thing I totally saw it as something you could have written. XD glad you did a rewrite!

That's it. If Moffat needs a script for another River/Doctor anything, I'd be vigorously calling out your name. I particularly liked the Doctor's excuse for River's hair in this one. And the way you Canon, funny and perfect :)

I love your ending although I did like the line in the original where she told him he's lucky he's pretty
