DeyaniraSan chapter 1 . 7/1/2015
Oh Salazar. My bittersweet Salazar. This fic is very poetic from the setting, the nature around cold and still as his soul. The realisation he had come to care more for his friends than he had realised, and how empty that had let him. It is too good and it makes me yearn back to that fluffy Hogwarts building fic. I think you did got him very good, and since he is not a very accessible character you have my congratulations for this one shot. Now could you please write more things like this?
Fire The Canon chapter 1 . 10/5/2014
1) Yay for the Founders! I love Founders fics. They are underappreciated in fanfiction, but always so interesting.
2) I really love your writing style. The way you began this was really captivating and I was just so keen to keep reading.
3) You developed a really nice character for Salazar here, which was great. He was believable from the little we know of him in canon, and it was enjoyable.
4) Great writing! I loved it!
ChocolateTeapot chapter 1 . 11/2/2013
This is a great story! Salazar's portrayal is very interesting. You also do a great job at making it really seem like a cold winter.

“The last six years of imitating stone had smoothed his face, leaving behind nothing but an old man with no stories to tell.
But he did have stories. Dark, eerie stories - the sort that most people pretended not to believe.” I really like this passage, as it is eerie without going overboard.

“Hogwarts was lost to him, he knew that. He had left his life's work far back along the snowy path. He looked back and saw his footprints were already fading.
He was nothing but a ghost now. An acrid man walking under the stormy skies of an argument that would never be forgotten and certainly never forgiven.” This is my favourite part though. I really love the metaphors.
EcargWillOneDayRuleTheWorld chapter 1 . 10/14/2013
I love this one-shot. The way you write Salazar is so captivating, your description and wording is so brilliant. One of the best stories I have heard in a long time! I really love your take on Slytherin's departure from Hogwarts and how you made a wonderful balance of Salazar being sad but the lingering ghost of evil as well.
I would love it if you could check out www. rmimagic .com . It's a roleplay full of amazing authors (like yourself) and it would be a privilege for you to join us. It you do feel like joining, now would be the perfect time as we are coming to beginning of the school year, where new authors will be joining. Thank you and please pm me if you consider joining. :)
xThe Painted Lady chapter 1 . 10/13/2013
That... was, um, great. I really, really loved it. First of all, your descriptions were lovely, and they painted the scene simply but still vividly, giving me a nice image of where Salazar was. Also, I enjoyed his musings. Well done. You almost made me feel sympathetic toward him, when I can't ever really be wholly sympathetic toward him (such is his character to me. ;) ) But I love how human he seemed here. Overall, nicely done.
Moonlit Dreaming chapter 1 . 10/13/2013
Aww, poor Salazar! I almost feel sorry for him - he's so tortured! Great work. I love a bit of Founders angst!
