What kind of little sibling calls their elder siblings with -san. When people call others Onii-san and Onee-san its usually reserved for people who are not related, but not old enough to call uncle or auntie.

Terms for related(or equivilent) older brother: Nii-san, Onii-chan, Nii-chan, Onii-sama, nii-sama, Ani, Aniki, Aniue.

Terms for related(or equalvilent) older sister: Nee-san, Onee-chan, Nee-chan, Onee-sama, Nee-sama, Ane, Aneki, Aneue.

Having a sibling prefix after their name Ex. Himeko-nee may be used for siblings but doesnt imply being actual siblings. So while calling someone onii-chan means being siblings or practically siblings, calling someone by their name-nii/nee could just mean an older childhood friend or the like.

Calling a sibling with their first name also works. Basically Onii-san and Onee-san are reserved for everyone not a sibling but in that age bracket, usually to a stranger or an older sibling of someone else you know.
