But on a serious note, a lot of the wording is kinda stiff, it doesn't feel like Severus or Annettes saying those words etc.

That was a lovely read. Snape spent so much of his life alone in the books, it's nice to think he has someone to love him and be happy with.

Ok this is actually a review for chapter 13, it wouldn't let me review it because I had read it before ages ago and left a short review, and you can't review the same chapter twice..

Loved this : the air tasted of sunbaked dead leaves on a forest floor.

and this: The Gryffindor Captain smiled at her with such a devilish smirk that it would make a fox proud.

and this: The bludger zoomed off after bat cracked against, giggling like a madman.

and this: like a rat being caught with a morsel of food

This chapter was chock-a-block with beautiful expressions. I was really impressed. It's also great to see the Hufflepuffs succeed every once in a while :D

"Like a badger after a snake" - Love this line.

I like the details you give about the Muggle Studies course because it's not something we learn anything about from canon.

I also liked the expression "to hang out with her fellow badgers", it sounds very natural.

Great chapter, It's nice to see a description of Annette through Severus' eyes.

It's great to read classroom scenes, really reminds me of JKR. I love whenever magical beasts are mentioned because I don't know all the canon ones.

Your food descriptions are lovely. They make me hungry.

I laughed when Annette finished her spoonful before going to help Snape. Girl has her priorities right.

I like the idea for an essay "How Telephones would change the Magical World" because wizards would obviously benefit from using some muggle inventions. If all that information (Nicolas Flamel, gillyweed, horcruxes) had been online things would have been a lot easier!

I love how she found Ashwinder eggs. I confess that I had to look them up to discover "they are born in the embers of an unattended magical fire" Now I know something new :D

This has gotten off to a great start! It's really refreshing to read about a main character who isn't brilliant at everything.

I love Severus Snape. Seeing him have an option of another love interest other than Lily makes me happy. He deserves it!
