Whoa, this was so good. How did this idea come to you? It's so original and well-thought-out, I'm officially accepting it as canon now!

I loved this a lot! I love how minds can wander from simple ideas, to creating evocative and meaningful stories such as this one. And as usual, Ruby and Weiss are SO sweet together. I loved the bits at the end where Ruby comforted Weiss, telling her it was okay to cry, and when Weiss wrote Ruby's name for her. Aw, I just love this tender, loving side of Weiss.

Nice! Your characterization is spot-on. I'm kind of surprised I haven't seen more fanfics playing with the fact that both Ruby and Weiss are lefties.

I loved it! A very interesting story that really make's you think about what it's like to be a southpaw (lefty).

In all honesty, I guess I can relate to Weiss. I'm left handed as well, but do certain things right handed because it just comes naturally to me (Baseball bats and Hockey sticks). Everything else, I'll do left handed such as writing, because I can't even keep a grip a pencil/pen properly with my right, let alone try to write. As for being ambidextrous, the only things I'm able to do are shooting handguns (rarely rifles) and drinking, but that is very limited.

This is so plausible, it's scary. Wow. I can totally see Weiss' father doing that. Gosh, I feel so terrible for Weiss. :( *hugs Weiss* I'm glad Ruby is there for her. :)

I would think he would force her to get them even if it meant suffering ridicule for being a four-eyes. I mean, imagine how this might have gone at some point:

"Schnees do not wear GLASSES. Our eyesight is to be perfect! Get rid of those things immediately!"
Two weeks later at a family gathering...
"Schnees do not stumble about! They watch where they are going! What is the matter with you?"
"I cannot see sir! I am practically blind!"
"What? Our eyesight is to be perfect! Go and get yourself some glasses immediately!"

Wut? XD

All of that aside, this was a great chapter. Interesting that you managed to turn lefthandedness into a plot point, even if it had a ridiculous argument from the father that would make my character shove him to the ground and say with a smirk "Mr. Schnee, I thought Schnees were supposed to be graceful and perfect in everything, and yet here you are, unable to catch yourself from simply falling, and rather ungracefully too!" Yeah, I REALLY hate people that give you terrible reasons for things. Those people remind me of the days when I found it hard to get along with my dad. Every time he asked me to do something and I asked why, he would say "because I said so" or something like that, and it eventually got to me after a few years and we got in a huge fight. Afterward, he started giving me legitimate answers that actually convinced me to do what he asked, and we've been on much better terms since then. XD I kinda want to write something involving such an event now. Something where my character finds Mr. Schnee and proves to him just how much more perfect his daughter is than he is himself, as well as just what it means when someone says "Nobody is perfect". Maybe I will write it eventually, but for now, it can wait. :P

Nice work as always. Sad thing about the issue you presented is that stuff like that still happens. I knew someone who was forbidden fron using her left hand to write by her kindergarden teacher. Sadly she can't write with it at all anymore and writing with her right hand feels uncomfortable. So Weiss was really lucky

I love it! And I hate Weiss's father right now, or at least your version if him. I thought it was kind of cliche that her favorite letter was R but it was actually really sweet. Ruby has a way with people too. Finding Weiss in the library where others wouldn't have been able too. Nice job.
