Please continue. This is one of the best fics I've read where Daniel gets snaked. And I've read a lot of them - for some reason, I find fics where Daniel is a Goa'uld/Tok'ra host very appealing.

Yu is certainly an interesting Goa'uld in that he's far less evil than the other Goa'uld.

Interesting AU concept, one that I have never seen explored before. I eagerly await the next chapter :)

I do hope you avoid making Yu a "good guy". It is something I've seen in a number of fics and I feel as if the portrayal of Yu as a "benevolent ruler" has become somewhat of a cliche in Stargate fanfic writing. People seem to forget that when Lord Yu was first mentioned on the show (episode "Fair Game") Daniel said that advances of Yu's dynasty "came about under harsh rule".

I'm also curious if Yu needs to "cooperate" with Daniel because he is old and can't fully suppress the host. After all, during the episode "Homecoming" his First Prime did speculate that Yu might be too old to take a new host.

Oh please do continue this. Excellent start and quite interesting. I always thought Yu wasn't as bad as the rest of the *snakes*.

Quasibenevolent!Yu? I like it. And hints of something deeper about the Goa'uld, even if it's nothing more than how some of them perceive themselves.

Poor Daniel! Yu must find being in a blond host odd since he seems to favour Asian. Why not let Daniel go and take a new host since he'd surely have already gotten what info he could want.
