Yay, a how-they-met story! I love those. It's great to see that even on this first meeting, that special rapport is already sparking. Tony being impressed with Kolchak's stories, and the beginnings of their classic banter, are joys to see.

It seems a little convenient, for Kolchak to only get the position because a reporter skipped (unless Kolchak himself had something to do with that, heh). But on the other hand, it's highly amusing picturing Tony's reaction to the news. LOL.

And I love how Kolchak insists he lives in the real world and is a skeptic. Oh, if they only knew what's down the line...

Good chapter! Loved the dialogue between Kolchak and Vincenzo. You really captured both their personalities well. Great blend of humor and assertiveness with Kolchak in trying to get this job.

"And this what you wear" should be "And this is what you wear"

"penetrating lookhis" should be "penetrating look, his eyes"

"canon" should be "cannon"

"loose a guy" should be "lose a guy."
