Holy hell. This is great. Your plot dump is incredibly well executed. I didn't feel like like "Oh ok they're setting up the world." It felt natural and organic the way the characters talked about it. And I 100% legit had chills and goosebumps when I read the line "Why did you throw away my love for YOU?!"

In case the e-mail alerts haven't clued you off, I am currently going through all of your stories. I have to say, this is easily the best. I would not at all be against more like this.

Team RWBY always pushes the odds and beats them over and over. So when their fearless leader is consumed by fear things spiral down from there. As they all fall down one by one.

How tragic to have loved someone who can no longer love back.

this is a great story and i'm sure you had fun writing it, it's good to mix thing up every now and then but my personal opinion, could this have a happier ending if you do make it a series? simply because i don't feel like this is RWBY at all this feel's more like Metal Gear Solid to me, with all the pain and anguish, if you wanted to continue this i believe it would end amazingly if it had a happy ending kind of like a light at the end of the tunnel, it's much different from all your other work (i've read everything except ones that are about ancient Greece and or related) but this was really good made me feel really bad inside because it was sad but other than that well done.

The strange and unique plot that you put them in really brought out the edges of all of the characters, revealing the fear, uncertainty, remorse, and sharp, constant regret in each character, somehow still making the problems for each of them different. I believe that there is room for expanding on that plot, room for more detail, perhaps in the form of another one-shot?

I really loved this story, but I could easily go either way; if you don't want to continue it, I will happily consent and stick to reading and re-reading your wonderful bumblebee-erm, RWBY one-shots. c:

One question; what is this 'seventeen years' series that you mentioned? I don’t believe I’ve heard of it before...

While it does have a lot of power and really did choke me up, I don't think it fits with Pollination. The way things are going, I don't see this happening and it tampers with the possible outcomes of the characters' current shortcomings, since you haven't written a broken Ruby in that collection. As for Seventeen Years, I haven't read it, but based your description, it seems on par

That was a bit...much. I didn't understand the whole "suddenly we're burning down beacon and the city, as well as killing people because we killed too many grimm" thing at all. I might have missed a reference to something that you were basing this on though, since a lot of your writing has other concepts thrown in. If that's the case, then please disregard my ignorance.
