If you didn't understand my previous chapter review then don't look it up. It's major spoilers for one of the characters.

I have to say that I really liked these last two chps.
First off, I really liked that Ash put that Rookie Crusher in his place and the battle was satisfying on that end.
I liked what you did with Pava. It's more realistic and interesting spin on a common Pokemon game playstyle(mainly by kids) that comes up. It shows just why someone might choose to do Pava did.
I'm really hoping that Pava comes back and manages to find a compromise between what her family expects of her and what she personally wants to do. But that talk with Anabel probably helped her out a ton.
And speaking of her,I've been pretty open about the fact that I don't like Anabel as much as Iris and Misty and part of that has to do with her sloppy introduction and part of that has to do with how afterwards she didn't seem to have any point to her whether it be her lacking personal character arcs/goals or her not adding much the overall group dynamics. She felt really out of place and... just there.
I get the feeling that part of this was, because of unique aspects of Anabel in this story,you couldn't feasibly come up with a way for her to get her canon Frontier Brain job so you didn't know what to do with her for a while.

But I genuinely feel like that she has finally come into her own and now I actually like her. The way she interacts with Pava and how that ties into the new goal she has for herself in becoming an activist that runs a blog and gives out advice to others just works beautifully in how it fits this version of Anabel.
It makes me curious as to how big her blog will get and in turn how big of an influence she'll have because Bloodliners can't hide in plain sight forever and I feel like Anabel's blog and influence will be key in the future because of the message she tries to spread.

While the Ash/Joshua fight was fine I'm confused at one thing:How was Josh able to get into the League to begin with? When we last met him, the implication I got was that he was a mediocre trainer who tried making up for it with using cheating. I don't believe a person like that could gather 8 badges to get in the league or even get that far at all. It's obvious that he was cheating in his league match,but if he was using those tactics in gyms,surely one of them would've caught on to what he was doing and potentially kick him out,bar him,or get the Disciplinary Committee involved for harsher punishment? I just feel like there's a a big plot contrivance there.
Anyway, these are good chps and oh boy is Kaia gonna be a more emotional battle. Hope she and Charizard get some closure after the battle.

This is related to the beginning authors note about the reviews complaining about the "fanservice" between the female characters in the hot tub being too much last chp. I have to ask,did these people read the same story I did?
This is the least fanservicey thing I've seen in a Pokemon fic. Nowhere in that segment is there any cheap TnA description shots,nor are the characters involved talking about anything sexual.
The part where Iris shows her scars isn't sexually evocative 's just her simply talking about her scars in a matter of fact way(that also reveals something about her childhood). And the same goes for Misty and Anabel talking about muscles and body types.
I have to say that maybe those people have way too much of a thin skin.

About the actual chp. I liked how Ash managed to take the Rookie Crusher down a peg and it was nice that Ash can finally hear Goodra. I can't say much her other than i think the battling was good.

I felt sympathetic for Pava and it was a really neat way to incorporate a typical Pokemon playstyle among kids and see why a person might realistically do that.

I also liked the talk she had with Anabel afterwards and it was a good character moment for not just her,but Anabel as well. I've admitted in the past that I've never liked Anabel as much as the other two girls,partly because of the sloppy way she was introduced and partly because afterwards,there didn't seem to be much point to her being there.( her role in the group dynamic and her specifically as a character as she didn't have much growth,development, or even an arc.)

I think that part of that was because IMO you introduced her way too early and because you did that you might not have had a plan in place for what you wanted to do with her. Especially because
of the unique elements of this story,you couldn't feasibly have Anabel take up the same job like she had in anime canon.

But here? it feels like Anabel has truly blossomed into her own and I'm glad about that. It finally feels like she has an actual PLACE and GOAL in Ash's group with her being an activist blogger and this moment with Pava was showing me that her influence is starting to grow.

I hope that Pava does eventually show up again and maybe tries to balance what she wants to do,with what her family expects of her more.

In the previous chapter I noticed two details:
1. Ash was never hinted at being given a TM upon defeating the Sensational Sisters.
2. Neither Pikachu nor Dexter can comprehend a figure-of-speech.

I take it that a Pokemon in the form of a human being is as close to a Pokemorph as you are willing to get?
