this is sad, and I feel it deserves a multiple chaptered story on it, or at least a sequel on what happens, maybe years on. good job all the same.

Apocryphal had a sweet, calm beginning; the drastic exchange between Danny and his parents was a good way to add into the drama element, and juxtapositions with the sweet beginning.

Maddie's "sweetness" seemed more automatic than meaningful, but the scene showed how parents try to "fix" their "rebelling" son.

"Because a ghost cannot live in a ghost hunter's home." This line is sad, dramatic, and *frustrating,* and showed just how little Danny's parents listen to him.

Danny flying off, and crying, was fairly close to his character, and had me sympathizing with him.

The formatting throughout the fic is a little choppy and a little odd, but it didn't take away from the drama of Maddie going to Danny's room, and finding him gone.

Is the last line being bolded your way of saying "the end?" If so, that's a creative idea!

All in all, Apocryphal is a job well done!

I'm crying right now. You did the emotions really well when they could have been botched so easily and I love the way Maddie and Jack are viewing Danny, how they still love him but want to get rid of his ghost half. That seems very in character to me.

It was Jack and Maddie's blind desire to have a full human son that led to them losing Danny altogether, they don't deserve him.
