As always your knowledge of royal settings like this fascinates me. I love the detail you put into the proceedings ... I'm not even sure how to explain it ... but I'm gonna try XD It's like you open a window to this fancy, unattainable world of class and pomp, where every single gesture, every word and glance down to the minutest of tones in a persons voice can mean the most scathing of insults or highest point of praise. Everything is so carefully orchestrated and like a dance almost. You step up to greet someone and it's like you've entered into this dance with them and depending on your very first move, whether it be a word, a glance or a gesture, that will determine your rank so to say and whether you lead in the dance or follow. Then each tiny interaction there after plays into how gracefully you can you can fill that role as either the lead or the follow. Sesshoumaru most definitely comes off as the lead and his moves in these types of mingling and introductions are always so flawless . I love it. He knows just exactly what to say and how to say it. He knows how to word things so they are unquestionably within his right to say but they also unquestionably convey exactly what he means by saying them. I don't know how to word it other than, he can say something like thank you for inviting me and either actually mean that he's grateful or actually mean that he's disgusted with everything and most of all the one who invited him XD I really love the way you're able to capture all that in the how you write.
I think I was just as surprised as poor little Inu was when he found out there were separate rooms and he would actually be going to his XD I mean I know it's expected and I don't feel any ill will towards Sess for telling Inu to go see it, but I was right there with Inu going through the feels like: oh crap ... I forgot how much special treatment Inu gets and that normally slaves don't stay with their masters like that XD Oh and finding out there are other slaves in the room, that was intriguing too, I love how Inu reacted to that comment Sayu made, "how dare you!" and shuts the curtain XDDD I love how cute that was. I'm curious how things will play out with Kagura there. I love your use of her badassery~ She's always had a way of talking like that . I recently watched the episode of Inuyasha where she chews Sesshoumaru out for not taking her bribe XDDDD I love how cool Sess is about it too~ I hope we get to see more of those types of interaction between Sess and Kagura here . It's so fun guessing how Sesshoumaru will react to things. It's like there are certain types of characters that he'll tolerate some shit from and others he'll destroy for even looking at him the wrong way XDDDDD and you always so perfectly capture that in your writing.
Another really awesome chapter and story development. I can't wait for the next installment! I hope we get to see Sess being his high class, bad ass self and being protective of Inu. I wonder what drama will stir up as things progress~

I really love Mafuyu and her pets, they were a great addition to this story. The interactions between Mafuyu and Sess are wonderful. I like their comradery and their easy informal yet respectful way they exchange comments and conversation. I found Taiko's part in this chapter really interesting. The interaction between him and Sess was unexpected and I liked it. Finding out he is a murder was the most intriguing part but I also like how Sesshoumaru dealt with him. That sly little comment Taiko makes and the look on his face, "you haven't tried to kill me either." I've always had an unhealthy fascination with psychotic characters so that little exchange definitely caught my interest.
The part with Mafuyu and Sess at the cliff with the continuous strong breeze, your description of the environment is very simple and to the point but somehow when my head is in the fic and I read that line, I feel like I can see the cliffs edge and feel the breeze and see the scenery all around them. That probably sounds silly but it stood out to me as I was reading. I love the conversation they have there too. A friendship without strain or obligations. Mafuyu's goodbye really spoke to me, "it was good to meet you again, after all this time." I like that a lot . Mafuyu's little privet talk with Inu was fun to read. I love how she's all like: don't tell Sess . and Inu is like: *gasp* I will never keep secrets from my master! And how Mafuyu gets him to agree by telling him to tell Sess he's not supposed to tell cuz she said so XDDD That was great and I love how amused Sess is by Inu's retelling of the events and conversation and with Mafuyu. It seemed like he was thinking, it'll be interesting to see what comes of it. XD I'm interested to see what will transpire that Inuyasha might need to use those pellets for and what they do~ Inuyasha's goodbye to the raccoon demon Kai had me feeling all warm and fuzzy. Inu wanting to give her a hug after she said "try to be worthy of him," that was perfect. I love how he just understood the compliment she was paying his master without them having to explain anything to each other . It was interesting to see Shippo again, I'm so intrigued by these Stray Ukes. I really like the concept and hope we get to find more out about them later. Maybe they will pop up in another scene in the future~ I wonder how they will tie into the plot. You had just the right amount of interaction with Sess and Inu reuniting with Sess's retinue. XDDD Fun fact, I learn new words every time I read one of your fics . retinue is one of them. Very good chapter! Good plot progress too. I can't wait to read what happens next! I love how Sesshoumaru and Mafuyu are right behind Taiko when he's running his mouth XD and how Mafuyu tells him to be quiet, that he lost the privilege to speak. I crack up giggling when I read that line.

Another great line, when the fight is about to start and Inuyasha is thinking he doesn't like that anything could be attacking that could get his master to take it seriously.

Mafuyu saying, "well, we're not going to let them! Honestly." XDDDD

Inuyasha watching Sess use his whip like that for the first time XDDDD I can so clearly picture the look on his face cuz that's exactly how I reacted when I first saw it too XDDD like dear god that is hot and dangerous as fuck!

Mafuyu basically patting little Inu telling him he was brave, that was adorable and Inu's r-realy? I can picture him with that cute stary eyed look.

Oh then that little exchange, where Sess calls Mafuyu out on the comment, "I do not lie." XDDDD That was funny.

The little talk Inu and Mafuyu have about the miko not obeying Sesshoumaru and Inu's shock at him not getting angery XDDDD

I really like how you described how Sess's snarl effected all the lesser demon, making them shiver in fear . Oh and how Mafuyu tries to scold him for scaring her pets, XDDD I love how you describe, he couldn't care less about the children's feelings at the moment. XDDDDD Like he's thinking I've got something a little more pressing on my mind right now, don't you tell me to calm down.

These words speak volumes to me. Poor Inuyasha, I know, it sucks so hard being human and dealing with shitty human emotional crap. Just sit right there and be held and Sesshoumaru will make it all better.

'the hand on his jaw winding around his throat over the leather collar, carrying him to the bed...' Sess picking him up by the troat and dropping him on the bed is so hot~

That human reaction of fear that Inu has is wonderful I love that.

Then the kiss and Inu melting in Sess's lap, fuck that was perfect. The feels and Inu's tears and how Sess reacts, oh my god I love it so much. It's so endearing and so touching and so fucking perfect!

Sess doting on Inu, Inu feeling guilty but not being able to resist, the entire scene of him being fed by Sess, the cookies and milk, Sess making him hold his glass and taking advantage of his hands being full. It's so charming and playful and perfect ... did I mention it's perfect? Cuz it's really perfect! Every part of it. And then Inu asking Sess to sleep on top of him I think I must have fan girl squeeled outloud at that, it was, to quote a certain someone 'beautiful~'

Oh my god! This chapter is litrally exactly what I needed right now! I had an absolute shit day and this chapter has straight up been chicken soup for my soul. I am going to read this at least once more before I go to bed. I can't even begin to tell you how much this chapter touched me and was so epically perfect. God what I wouldn't give to be Inuyasha. Thank you! Thank you so much for writing this! I'll try to leave a more usefull review when I'm not so emotional and tell you why and what parts I liked so much about it. Excellent as always~ I like the easy relationship between Sesshoumaru and Mafuyu. I like how she seems to already have grown fond of Inuyasha too. The part where Inuyasha basically yells at Taiko and tells him to take it back is great. I can so perfectly picture little disgruntled Inu with his heckles raised, 'no one talks about my master like that and lives!' XDDDD Then both Sess and Mafuyu being right behind Taiko, perfect timing. I love the little chibi pets dynamic too. The thought of them all having their own little huts is really cute ~
I didn't remember the legendary miko Midoriko at first, but I happened to start watching the show over from the beginning and recently watched the episode about her. Very awesome character creation having Mafuyu be her daughter! It also makes her and Sesshoumaru's dynamic even more interesting.
I'm really enjoying how Sess finds Inu's fears and panic amusing and does things to mess with him and make them worse XDDDD

I look forward to this year long update! Who is going to be Sesshomaru's bed warmer!? Is he trying to prove to himself what he has with Inuyasha is a bluff or something? I hope he can't get it up! Suffer Sesshomaru. Inuyasha is in danger because of his own self doubt. They're is in love with each other and haven't realized it yet. What will it take for Sesshomaru to get it! And why has no one looked into Inuyasha's parentage to see that he is in fact human royalty!? Won't that make a difference? AND he can have children! That's a plus.

When I looked up and I didn’t see another chapter I felt like screaming please update as soon as possible. I hope he brings inuyash back in the room.

I love all the cute little scenes of Inuyasha being an adorable pastery type uke all squished against Sesshoumaru's chest in this chapter. I also really like the relaxed casual interaction, Inuyasha seeing that the crown prince of the western lands isn't the least bit bothered by things like sitting or sleeping on the ground. How he's completely self sufficient not at all like how one might imagine a crown prince to behave. And how he protects Inuyasha while also encouraging his growth and independence. And I love little Inu's submissive eagerness to serve that he manages without being annoying. He is so perfectly blended, you write him with just the right amout of everything. He isn't overly passive but yet he's so propper and respectful and he's never inappropriately lewd. He's always happy to receive sexual use from his master but never forgets his place. It's really endearing and adorable. I also love how Sesshoumaru reveals that he is affected by the forest too, that he has nightmares too and Inuyasha is like astonished. All the simple little touches here and there that are so relaxed and perfect between them, the sweet little foot massage with Inu cutely kissing his feet. I love Sesshoumaru's way of warning Inuyasha about the way he'll be expected to behave at the meeting and god I can't wait to get to that part. But the interaction they share in that scene is just so perfect. How Sess can read the tiniest little reactions that Inu has and how he seems pleased with Inu's thoughts and questions. This was a wonderful chapter, I can't wait to read more.
