I think this was a really sweet look into Desmond's mind. I do imagine he would be really shy and unconfident when trying to deal with a matter like this. However, that would depend on how old he is in this, because if he's still very young that's to be expected. Maybe he might be able to handle it better with a few more years under his belt. :)

Gah! You're def not the only one that ships these two! I'm slowly catching up on this show cause it is kinda precious and just saw the miss nettle episode-this fic is a joy to read and I'm only sad it's upset and the only fic or anything that related to a ship of these two! To answer your question, Luiz4200, when I wrote this, I was thinking it like this; Desmond is a lesser Prince because he thinks lesser of himself. Though, he may be from a lesser kingdom, he describes himself as a lesser prince because he believes he is not worthy of Sofia's kindness. Yeah... He has a few self esteem issues apparently. XD I hope this answers your question.

Someday he might grow the courage to confess his feelings. It's not like she's seen that close to any other Prince besides James. Does Desmond mean "lesser" as Prince of a lesser kingdom or "lesser" as a Prince with so many big brothers he has no hope of becoming King?
