This was very interesting. It kind of reminds me of the book/movie "Inkheart." I don't know if you have seen it or read it. I've only seen the movie, which is a great movie, but I've heard that the book was fantastic.

It's a kind of scary power, which raises all sorts of issues. Isn't it kind of manipulation, to make John be hopeful through all that? Even with the best intentions, that power can go so wrong.

Hey, I don't actually know what to say to that but I'll give it a go. I think that is one of the best fics I've ever had the pleasure of reading! It was wonderful thank you so much for it.

This is a very interesting idea. And full of emotion.
It makes me think of Conan Doyle. People say that he was very much like Holmes. He solved crimes and killed Holmes off saying "It was self-defence. He would have killed me." But then Holmes comes back.
Hmm, I wonder if Doyle had the same power of words...

There were a few stories in the canon written from Sherlock Holmes' point of view. They weren't very good, but still interesting.

This may be slightly off-topic, but have you seen "Many Happy Returns" yet? If not, search for it on YouTube. That little seven-minute video can inspire several fanfics, I'm sure.
