I liked this one shot a lot. It certainly leads into the other stories very nicely. I look forward to more.

I really liked this. It was VERY well put together. I liked that Dean was able to connect individually with Jack, Teal'C and Daniel, since he'd already been introduced to Sam (although I wish you'd gone ahead and put in that opening piece from the 'Starnatural' possible story prompts so any one who didn't read it could see how they'd met would know about it).
You did a great job showing Dean being his cocky self and yet having him not being too much of an ass that he wouldn't be able to get offered a position at the SGC.
And, now that I've seen it, knowing this is the first part of the Destiny story, the second part makes more sense. You may want to make some sort of note in the summary for both pieces to help it be more clear, as you do have the room to add it.

I loved the sparring scene (and mostly everyone's interactions with Dean), and the translation scene (Daniel's brilliant!), it was great. And oooh, so Dean was a leader of the Ancients? And his beloved... Castiel? OMG, I can't wait for more!
