The Divergent Trilogy belongs to Veronica Roth.

"I can't believe how long its been, just yesterday he wall calling me Mommy!" a blonde woman wailed as she held onto a large teenager, three identical boys stood snickering at the teen. A little girl was clinging to the woman's legs as she looked around at the room full of people, she had no doubt had some of the Abnegation her mother was raised with.

Next to the woman was a tall burly man, his hair was the same as it was sixteen years ago but he was decked out with tattoos. He cautiously watched the crowds out of instinct for any signs of trouble, something that had been ingrained into his head.

"Does Kee want his mommy?" one of the boys grinned and the teen scoffed but none the less he gave his mother a hug.

"Mommmmm! I got to go or I can't choose my faction!"

"Kilian! Just stay with mommy!"

"I have to leave with the other Dauntless-borns," the teen ran a hand though his messy brown hair as his blue eyes looked to his father for help. The tattooed man only shrugged his shoulders helplessly. "Don't worry mom, I'll be fine," and it seemed that was the wrong answer.

The blonde put a hand on her protruding stomach and wiped tears from her face with the other hand, she looked ready to start wailing. The girl that had been latched to her mother had thrown herself to her brother, "Kilian don't leave me!" He patted her blonde curls and turned to the triplets; their dyed silver hair glinted in the light as they tackled their brother to the ground.

"You are-" one began then a middle one picked up.

"A huge-" then the last jumped onto Kilian's back.

"FUCKING TRAITOR!"

The woman glared at the three and gave them all a slap to the back of the head, "Don't call your brother that! Hadrian, Gabriel, Finlay so help me I will beat your asses!"

"That's my girl Tris!"

"Don't encourage Mom!"

They may have been a crazy family but they loved each other very much, "Get going now! If not you'll be fucking late," Eric yelled out and pulled the triplets off of Kilian. The little girl sniffed and Kilian couldn't help but to give her a hug.

"Bye-bye Kee."

"Bye Bella, I love you," and with one last look to his family, he joined the surge of humanity with his father following.

As a leader he would join the Dauntless-born on their way to the Choosing Ceremony, just to watch over them and make sure each of them got to the Ceremony alive and on time. He smiled with the others as they chatted on about what faction they would choose, and he didn't say which one he would choose. Kilian was leaving, and somehow along the way of him realizing that the triplets found out.

It was a wonder they didn't tell their mother, though if they did then he would have been even more guilty about his decision.

He didn't belong in Dauntless and no amount of persuading from Gabriel, Finlay, or Hadrian would have made him change his mind.

A hand settled on his back and he looked to see his dad smiling softly at him, "Dad?"

The look in Eric's eyes told Kilian all he needed to know. "Dad, I-" he began but Eric stopped him with a gentle smile.

No one else understood Kilian like his dad; the leader was more sympathetic than he had been years before his birth. Sometimes people would tell him stories of how his dad acted before he met Tris. How he was a hard ass on the faction, or the fact he was very antisocial. Though he had been through some hard times after he and Tris got together, apparently someone had committed some very heinous crimes.

The adults weren't allowed to tell him what happened specifically, but he had now that his mother suffered from PTSD and his father was less trusting than he came to be.

"I know, and its your life Kilian," Eric said as he ran his hand through the boy's messed up hair.

"I don't want to leave, but..."

"You feel like you don't belong?" Eric finished and his son nodded. He sighed, "When I grew up in Erudite, I too felt like I didn't belong. Just follow your Aptitude test or just follow your heart. Either way we love you son."

"Thanks dad," Kilian smiled up at his tall father before turning to talk to his friends. For the rest of the ride Kilian felt nervous, then before he knew it they were jumping and hollering as they ran forward to the Dauntless entrances. The other factions, besides Abnegation, were grumbling about how loud they were.

Then Kilian was seated in a chair in the Dauntless side of the room, his father was standing at the five bowls that would tell their future lives. This year Dauntless was hosting the Choosing Ceremony, and he loathed to think of the look on his father's face as he walked down.

After the bullshit speech Eric was forced to read he began to call out names of the new initiates.

"Anna Hamilton!" a timid girl from Abnegation walked from the grey sea and approached the stage with caution. Her hands were trembling as she raised the knife to her palm and cut into it. Blood splattered the glass pieces of Candor silently. "CANDOR!" she jumped at Eric's loud voice as the black and white faction clapped happily for their newest initiate.

"Anthony Vilastro!" he was an Amity that stayed in his faction.

"Beth Anderson!" she was from Candor but choose Erudite.

Then the names began to blur and then he heard it, "Kilian from Dauntless!" Then the Dauntless gave him a push towards the stage and his feet were like lead as he approached his father. Eric smiled and gave his son a pat on the back as he gave him the engraved knife. Kilian slashed at his palm quickly and looked to the Dauntless coals.

His breathing heightened as he stretched his hands forward and let the blood drop.

"CANDOR!"

His eyes opened to see that his blood was dripping off the glass shards and his father looked at him warmly. He gave the teen a bandage and whispered, "We will always love you."

Kilian turned to face the clapping faction and sat down next to Anna.

"I'm Kilian."

"I'm Anna."

They shared a smile and Eric grinned as he called the next name.

His son would live a good life, if that girl was anything like Tris.

He wasn't even Kilian's real father but he felt like he was just as loved like his real children.

"Goodbye son," he whispered when the last name was called.

As the Candor left, Kilian talked to Anna and then he felt the hair on the back of his neck rise.

"Do you feel like you're ever being watched?" he asked Anna.

"No," she answered.

Though they were always being watched, and the man in the shadows who was watching them glared at Kilian.

"Later I'll get my revenge," just as Kilian turned to look behind him the man disappeared. In the ally the man had stood, a black painted '4' was on the ground. The cycle would start again, even if he alone would be the main conspirator.

The painted '4' would be later found by a Dauntless who clearly remembered what had happened sixteen years ago.

Then she would tell Tris and Eric about it.

They were never free.

I don't know if there will be a sequel to this. If there is it won't be anytime soon.

Thank you guys so much for all the support and everything!
