(Chapter 41: Breached. Part 4)

The mission to protect a village from a rise of Grimm went off without any complications. It wasn't a very far village, only about a 1-and-a-half-hour flight there and back to Beacon. Once they were there, team CFVY made short work with whatever the village had in store for them.

Coco was the one who was mostly taking care of them all from afar. Her minigun and her Semblance really do clean up disgustingly well as she mows down any Grimm that is in her sights. But like the mission they were assigned to, there was a wave of Grimm heading to the village and even with Coco clearing a good portion of them, there was still some that were able to get through.

That's where Yatsuhashi came in, he was able to take care of the stragglers and also making sure to deter the weaker ones from getting past him by using his strength to push them back. He was a wall that pushed back the Grimm, but in doing so, he could not move from his spot or else he could risk getting surrounded if he chose to move further ahead.

Thankfully, Fox was helping by taking down Grimm while also being the most mobile to move around the field as he attacks any and all Grimm. Coco was taking out most of the bulk, Yatsuhashi as the defensive line, and Fox being the aggressor made a good formula to take out the threats.

For Velvet, their fourth member of their team was in the sidelines, more specifically, keeping the civilians safe from harm by keeping them away from the fight and even providing some minor first aid for those injured. Out of the four, she was the one who was mostly on support whenever they are sent on missions, but it's not due to her being weak or unreliable to contribute, in fact, she was far from it.

Velvet was one of the few, or even the best, at being known as a 'Jack of all trades' as her Semblance makes her quite the fighter. But since the Grimm weren't much of a problem thanks to how easily they were killed off, Coco thought it was best to keep Velvet on standby and watch over the villagers and let her and the boys deal with the problem.

Many hours of bullets, Dust, and fighting later, they were now back on the Bullhead and getting some much-needed rest as they waited for their ride to drop them back to Beacon.

Short rest actually, the team was going to get some rest back at the village with free rooms and food as a bonus from the mayor only to be told to return when news was given that Vale was in danger.

'Vale, Beacon Academy, my home, it's in danger and in just a short amount of time, my team and I are going into the thick of it.'

And here they were, back in their metal ride and using what time they have to restock, refuel, and also learning about what happened when they were gone. The pilot told them that during their mission away from Vale it was attacked by several bombs placed around the city that caused a large ring of fire to cut off a portion of the population. What made it even worse was that those same explosions also made large holes in the streets that unleased hundreds of Grimm into the populace and that was why any and all students and faculty was called to return to help in rescuing civilians and exterminating Grimm.

'I wonder how we're going to approach this? Will we just go at it and charge at whatever direction we think is right? No, this isn't like the missions we get to destroy indiscriminately. As fun as Coco likes those types of missions, we might need to tone down our firepower.'

As Velvet moved her chocolate colored eyes to each of her teammates who did their usual pre-battle preparations. The rabbit Faunus couldn't help but see how out of place she felt amongst them as each one shows their tells of be anxious of what they might see when the get back to Vale.

Coco, as much as she likes to show everyone how much of a badass she is, tries to cloud her mind by cleaning her weapon and not focus on how she didn't like being in Bullheads due to how small spaced it was.

Fox was sitting next to Coco with some headphones over his ears, not to cancel out noise with music, far from it. The blind fighter was actually wearing noise canceling headphones, making him not only blind but deaf to everything around him. It sounds frightful at first, yet there was a method to Fox's madness, as he told her many times that the headphones, a training item from his teacher, allows him to use his other senses to its fullest for training.

For the biggest member of the team, Yats had his usual habit of always meditating, but when things get serious, he would meditate and also say something sounding like a prayer.

"From Dust, we are born, to dust, we shall return. I do not fear death, for all are reborn from Dust."

All three of her teammates had their own way of getting ready for what's about to come, but Velvet was just sitting in place, minding her own business and showing absolute calmness as their destination was getting closer.

Despite always looking shy and anxious most of the time at school or during her time in the city. It was during things like field missions and fighting monsters was when Velvet feels the most relaxed and calm.

'Listen up, baby girl. You always see people who go their day like shopping and school without a care in the world and when danger shows up, they scream and panic? That's cause they never adapt to situations that don't usually occur in their life, but that won't happen to you. I'm gonna make sure that danger to you will be nothing more than a daily chore.'

"Tch!" Velvet shook her head so violently that her rabbit ears flapped around wildly and making her team put their attention solely on her.

"You doing ok, Vel?" Coco asked, tilting her forward to let her sunglasses slide further down to the bridge of her nose. "Something on your mind?"

"Ah!" Heat was causing her cheeks to blush from embarrassment. "Sorry! I was just… thinking about something embarrassing when I was a kid!"

After Velvet said that, Coco laughed at such an odd explanation with Yats stopping his meditation to share in the merriment and Fox, still wearing the noise cancelling headphone, was also showing his participation by smiling at Velvet.

"I needed that laugh." Coco pushed up her shades over her eyes. "Thanks for telling us, Velvet. It must be quite an embarrassing memory for you to get out of the blue."

'Ok, Velvet. What's one thing people get scared of instinctively nowadays? No, not Grimm. It isn't bugs, drowning, heights, their future, or other phobias. What commonly scares people instinctively is knives or guns pointed at them! I know the other answers you gave were correct, but most people still lean to weapons since they see them more often. How does this relate to you?'

Velvet shivered at remembering what happens next.

'Simple! I'm going to shoot you until your used to it and react fast enough to dodge. Don't worry, I'll make sure to shoot you far enough for you to react and it won't be real bullets… this time… but these rubber bullets will still hurt like hell! What's that? Aura? Naw, your not going to need it anytime soon. You first need to get used to the pain before your aura is unlocked.'

"Yeah, you could say that my childhood was odd before I met you, Coco." Though Velvet tried to play it off nonchalantly, her rabbit ears betrayed how truly shy she was when the ears drooped forward.

The air around the small space was less tense and the four sophomore Huntsmen's tension slowly vanished. Just as they relaxed did things go back to how dire the task at hand was as the intercom coming from the piolet started talking.

"We're soon be arriving to Vale. I'll be landing at one of the locations sent to me that has been reported to have the most Grimm and less civilians"

Just as the comm system went silent the team went quiet once more. They didn't need to say any other words to each other, they know they'll make it out of this.

Team CFVY felt the Bullhead start to get lower and lower as a sign that they are close to their destination, and when the light that was above their heads turned green, they knew what they had to do.

Getting up from their seats, team CFVY waited for the pilot to lower the ramp when Velvet finally broke their focus by talking.

"I'm going to fight." Vel could see Coco was about to talk and the rabbit Faunus decided to cut her off. "My weapon should be good enough to use a few of its tricks. I know I said I wanted to use it for the festival, but this takes precedence."

"Yeah, you're right that this is more important than some tournament. We're Huntsmen after all, not some entertainers." Said Coco as the ramp soon lowered and the view before them showed nothing short but chaos. "Team CVFY! Strike!"

Out of all the situations Rito, also known as Spider-Man in his universe, was ever in, this was by far the worst.

Sure, he could say that his worst experience was when he was a kid about to be vaporized by a Hammer tech drone at the Stark Expo, but unfortunately that would be below to what he is currently experiencing right now.

"So, Spidey, with your honest opinion." Roman Torchwick, thief, crime boss, and now about to be bug exterminator looked at Spider-Man who was bound by a large sand dune raised his cane above his head. "Tell me which hurts more."

'Inhale.' Rito sucked in some air and braced for contact.

"Front hand?" Roman swung his cane using his right hand to perform a front hand swing across Spider-Man's head. Usually blunt attacks don't do much when he tenses his muscles, but this time Spider-Man had to hold his screams of pain when the weapon stuck him. "Or back hand?"

A second swing from the cane hit Spider-Man in the opposite direction, but Spider-Man still held his breath and steeled himself from the pain as Roman continued to swing his weapon.

"Up?" Roman swung his weapon from under Spider-Man's chin causing his head to whip back from the hit.

"Down?" Just as Spider-Man was looking above too see the roof of some no named building, he soon looked at the floor beneath him.

A second turned to a minute and seeing that he was no longer getting the life beaten out of him, Rito decided it was time to breath.

'Exhale.'

"Gaah!" He hated out pitiful he sounded as his breathing was haggard and also how every time Roman struck him. He tried to slowly get some air and hissed in pain as it hurt his ribs from the expanding lungs.

'Things aren't looking too good for me.' No matter where he looked his one good eye can only see that he was in some secret place with how he could see some crates with the labels of SDC, Hammer, and Oscorps. 'I don't see any exit from my spot. Would be a lot better if I can actually move though.'

The sand that was holding him in place was of course Flint Marko, who's hold on the Spider was like the earth itself was weighing on the web head.

'Thank god I was able to activate Jaune's spider tracer before the sand swallowed me.'

"Oof!" Rito coughed up some spit when Roman slammed the walking stick into his stomach.

Having a look of satisfaction after venting out anger at the person who caused him such setbacks, Roman twirled his cane with one finger and looked over his shoulder.

"You sure you don't want a piece of this, Neo? It's kind of fun!" To add insult to injury, Roman hit Spider-Man's chest making the hero gasp in pain.

Neo, who was using a stack of crates as her seat, was too busy cradling her foot after she used it to knock out Spider-Man. It only worked somewhat and the end result was her having a somewhat sprained ankle.

Giving her ankle a rub before setting it down with her other leg, Neo shot Spider-Man a small glare, flipped him off, and then focused her attention at the weird device she picked off of the spider hero.

"She'll come around eventually." Shrugging, Roman then lifted the hero's head so the hero can look at his captor. "Still awake, huh? Most would be passed out by now with no Aura and since I've been beating you like a dead horse with no sight of your Aura protecting you, I can only assume you're just trying to stay awake or just a one tough S.O.B."

"If you let me go, I'll show you just how tough I am."

"Hmm... here's my counter-argument." Twirling his cane, he pressed the end of his walking stick on Spider-Man's chest, and moved his finger on top of the trigger. "You have no Aura right now, so I could easily burn a hole through your chest and that would be all she wrote for you."

A small pull of the finger and that would be the end of his headache. He could end one problem now rather than later for he knows that lucky chances like these won't be given a second time.

"I can just end you, drop your body somewhere and let some normie walk by and discover your corpse. I don't need the media to make me even more feared, cause seeing you dead is more than enough to let people know you're not special, hero."

"I have many things that I don't like being pointed at me. Things like guns, knives, swords, and maybe the rare occasion of lasers, but a walking stick is not one of them. So go ahead and try, cause if you do, you better hope this sand guy doesn't lose his hold on me." The optic lenses shifted to form a glare at Roman to dare him to perform the deed.

The two didn't break eye contact until finally the one who stopped their pissing contest was Neo tapping her good foot on the crate she was sitting on and made an exaggerating kissing face.

The serious mood now gone, the master thief removed the cane away from Spider-Man and used it as a stand to lean on.

"Well, since the plan was to have Adam deal with you in the first place. We'll just have to wait for him to comeback after he completes the second objective." Roman said offhandedly.

'Adam? The guy Jaune went after? So, them spotting me before was just by chance or maybe just a backup plan if they find 'Spider-Man' before Adam did.' The Spider-Man from another world wanted to ask more about their plan only to wince in pain as tried to take a deep breath. 'Damn that's smarts! Normal blunt weapons don't really do me much harm, especially when I tense my body, but that cane Roman has is no ordinary cane. Just what the heck is it made of?'

Rito's thoughts were stopped when Roman dropped his hand on top of Spider-Man's head.

One moment he was looking through the mask and then a rush of air touched Rito's exposed face showing his bewilderment that quickly morphed into dread at what just happened in a short span of time.

"My God…" Rito had to take a double take, then a triple before realizing what happened. "Did you just-"

Rito was just unmasked. After years of keeping his secret identity close to his chest, his person was revealed with little to no effort as Roman simply removed the mask.

"You!" The master thief looked like he was shown something he didn't want to face. Dropping the mask and taking a step back, Roman continued to stare at Rito who was also mirroring the same look of surprise. "You… you… you're a nobody… I don't even think I ever met you."

Roman was going through a small change of emotions ranging from rage, sad, laughing, but the final one was disappointment.

"I can't believe it. All of my men, connections, resources that were gone and put away because of you, I just assumed you'd have to BE somebody, but look at you! You're a nobody!"

Roman placed one hand on his cigar, the other moving his bowler hat down to cover his face as if he got the worst news in his life. It wasn't just Roman either, Neo was also sharing the same feelings as Roman. Truth be told, they would have been fine if it was someone like those lousy kids from Beacon, but from his appearance he looked like he was no one even relevant.

This was Spider-Man, some kid who was lucky enough to not get killed, now in the hands of the most wanted man in Remnant, but the only thing Roman felt was disappointment.

"For goodness sake, you look like someone who would be shelving dust or cleaning cars when you're not doing this!" The ginger-haired huntsman exclaimed before dropping his arms the side. "God! This is depressing."

Silence was filling the air between Roman and the now unmasked Spider-Man and when Rito was going to shout at Roman a swing from the cane came crashing down on Rito's exposed face.

"Gah!" This time blood started to seep out of Rito's nose and Roman, now wearing a face of indifference went back to beating Rito senseless.

"All those times…" At this point he was only talking to himself while his continued to bludgeon Rito over the head with Melodic Cudgel. "Getting beaten by a nobody."

A straight punch was avoided and Adam answered it back with an upward swing that was avoided by Spider-Man. Not wanting to give up on the attack yet, the webhead lifted his right leg to perform a side kick aimed at Adam's left arm to knock him aside.

Seeing such an obvious attack coming, Adam used his scabbard to block the kick and the scabbard was able to withstand the blow without breaking. A surprising turn of event happened to Adam though when the kick had enough power to lose his footing and gave Spider-Man a chance to deliver another straight punch.

Too close for Adam to perform a counter, his quick thinking solved his problem by raising the handle of his blade as a way to not only protecting his face, but as a guide to lead Spider-Man's attack to go past him.

Putting too much weight in the blow, Spider-Man moved forward and past Adam giving the terrorist a clean view on the webslinger's exposed back.

Aiming the barrel of his customized sheath, Adam fired a round that was intended to hit the vigilante's spine to cripple him.

And once more Spider-Man shows Adam his unnatural ability to know what was about to happen by dodging the round with amazing agility and reflexes.

"Nice try, I'm not falling for another trick a second time." Said Spider-Man as he did his usual stance of crouching low with his legs spread a part, one hand touching the cold concrete floor, and the other raised above his head. A stance that Adam thought looked more similar to how an actual spider was getting ready to strike.

"You must mistake me for people like Roman or Blake to use tricks, fool." A flurry of his sword, named Wilt, returned into its home known by a different name called Blush. "And if this fight pans out the way I expect it to be, then I believe the one who needs to rely on tricks will be you."

Spider-Man and Adam both simultaneously attacked.

To say the fight between Jaune Arc, also known as Spider-Man, and Adam Taurus was an even match was an understatement.

One, is due to the fact that while Spider-Man's danger sense does allow him an even footing to fight against the most skilled fighters. It can only go so far as shown when Adam was able to deflect, dodge, and even counter Spider-Man's attacks just as quick as Spider-Man.

Two, even though his Spidey sense is helping him evade Adam's deadly attacks he still lacks the necessary experience to fully understand close combat. Spider-Man's only experience is his street level knowledge and even though he can dodge Adam's deadly sword swings, Spidey's basic attacks aren't really doing much good against a veteran such as Adam.

Third, which is probably the biggest reason, was the fact that Spider-Man wasn't really at 100% on the account that his right arm was severely injured.

The strike could have been lethal to the hero, but luck was on his side when the blade that was about to dismember him hit his web shooter that caused a reaction to Spider-Man's dust fused web fluid making a small explosion.

Said explosion had just enough force to launch Spider-Man away from Adam's range giving him time to think about his next strategy.

Including the discovery of Adam's Semblance.

'Energy absorption.' Spider-Man went over his head the implication of such an ability. 'That explosion from my web shooter should have been larger, but the explosion was only large enough for me to escape then soon vanished leaving Adam the only one not effected. I was affected by the blast and only Adam remained unfazed by it. Reflecting damage was my next idea, but maybe that's just the same side of the coin.'

The two had no clear signs of really having the edge on one another. While indeed Adam looked to have the points of being more experienced, trained, and having a semblance that absorbs attacks be it kinetic or other. That still didn't seem to finish the fight when faced with someone who has an unnatural sense to know when to evade, unhuman reflexes, and surprising brute force.

'This man- no, this boy is a conundrum to me.' Adam pondered as he swung his blade aimed at Spider-Man's head only to dodge the last millisecond. 'Most of my swings should have connected, no one should be able to have reflexes that fast. Especially when my attacks are so close to connecting it should be impossible to react in time. Is he reading my movements? Even the most veteran of Huntsmen can pick up the trick, yet they always fall by my blade the longer I fight.'

A swing from the right, Spider-Man ducked, changing the direction of his swing to hit down, Spider-Man still showed amazing agility as once again by dodging to the right.

Adam was expecting that move and used his other weapon, his scabbard, to fire at the hero that tried to get too close to the bull Faunus.

Spider-Man evaded the bullet before it peeked out of the barrel. Adam, not wanting Spider-Man get any closer, fired several rounds that caused the webhead to retreat a fair bit to give himself time to formulate a strategy.

'This guy is a cut above any Huntsmen I fought before.' Really, the number of Huntsmen Spidey fought could be counted in a single hand, but even Spider-Man can see that Adam was on a whole other league.

'He did say he was the one who trained Blake. Adam isn't lying either about his skills, and I'm even more sure that even Ruby and her team would have a hard time fighting him.'

Ever since meeting with Ruby, she not only showed him more about Huntsmen-in-training, but also their power that make each individual special. Ruby herself gave him a humble reminder too, one that shows a glaring weakness he thought he never had.

That weakness was his very strength, his trusty spider sense!

He was thankful it was Ruby who showed him this blind spot, or else he would have learned it the hard way if he fought someone with the same speed as her.

And not just only her there are others who could have taken him down a few pegs if he got too carried away. Weiss and her glyphs, Blake and her doppelgangers, and even Yang's berserker mode could put him in a world of hurt if he wasn't careful.

Even Adam showed that that Huntsmen aren't just one trick ponies and that they have ways to not only make their Semblance more versatile, but even use their weapons to both cover and complement their skillsets.

'I have to push myself even faster against him!'

Adam dashed and got close to Spider-Man to perform a down slash only for the attack hitting the spot where Spider-Man was once was.

Removing his blade out of the ground to have it ready to attack again, Adam kept his guard up as Spider-Man was bounding from every angle.

'He's dodging my attacks far faster than I anticipated.' The White Fang leader shook his head. 'He's a fast learner, to only experience my signature move the first time and then soon adapting towards it shows this young man's natural abilities.'

Crouching down in all fours, Spider-Man stayed static and soon vanished in the blink of an eye and appeared in a different spot in the parking garage!

When catching small time thugs stealing or running from the police, Spider-Man had no trouble catching them before they realized they were in a web. Some of them even told police that they didn't know how they were in a web or even register that they were caught, it was just too fast for them to see.

In some ways some would think he could just teleport!

'No, it only looks like he's teleporting.' Adam's trained eyes and past victories against Huntsmen with a speed-oriented Semblance was able to see Spider-Man was bouncing off every angle around him.

'Left, right, above,' Behind the bone white mask, Adam tracked Spider-Man's movements fervently. 'Stay focused, he's obviously trying to make me strike first and use that small window of opportunity to attack me. I need to time it just right...'

From the corner to Adam's left eye then appearing on the opposite side of his vision, Spider-Man demonstrated that while even in closed spaces he can still use it to his advantage as he surrounded Adam in blinding speed.

'He can absorb energy, no doubt in my mind from seeing it the first time, but does that also account for kinetic energy? I remember when I was talking to Ruby and her teammates, Yang herself told me her Semblance is only activated when she gets hit, converts the pain to boost her physical power, but the effects put a strain on her.'

Spider-Man landed on a stone column, used it as a spring board, and landed right in front of Adam and just as Spider-Man was about to try his chances of hitting Adam-

'NOW!' Adam's mind commanded his body to move to intercept Spider-Man attack.

'I have to lead with a feint.' Spidey threw a straight right.

Adam's attack was meant to have him raise his sword to have Spider-Man hit the sharp edge of his blade.

'Wait, this is…' The White Fang leader's mind realized his mistake. 'I need-'

Only to raise his opposite arm to use Blush as a buffer to withstand Spider-Man's real attack which was a kick.

"Guh!" A grunt was forced out of Adam's lips as he skidded away from his spot.

'That kick was stronger than I thought, I have to gain my balance back!' Digging his feet even harder on the floor, Adam prevented his falling and remained in a kneeling position. "You're getting faster, Spider-Man, but do you think your speed is going to save you?"

"How about you get up and say that again?" Spider-Man taunted. "I'll make sure the next one will really put you down."

Spider-Man was showing his confidence on the outside so he won't show his true emotion building up inside.

That feeling was anxiety.

'That kick was able to send him flying, yet just when my kick connected to that sword sheath of his, Adam not only moved to block the hit; he used that small moment to move his sword to cut my leg!'

The leg he used was already leaking out blood. The crimson liquid was seeping out of the wound that was left by Adam and even when applying a small amount of pressure, Spider-Man could feel the cold sensation of air touching his exposed wound.

'A cut from my wrist was bad enough and now I have a large cut on my leg!' Spider-Man always hated fighting people with blades and this moment right now just increased his distaste. 'My blood is the sand in an hour glass and if it runs out, I either die from blood loss or I die by Adam.'

Odds were not looking to be in Spidey's favor, yet that didn't deter him by shooting some webbing to cover his wounds.

'This might not hold up the longer I fight.' Again, he poured blood into his limbs and soon started to shoot back and forth around Adam.

'I have to strike fast and hard enough that he can't react in time!' Giving no quarter, Spider-Man shot small web balls at Adam who reacted by firing dust rounds to cancel Spidey's projectiles.

His sights focused on canceling the ranged web attack, Adam was too late to notice Spider-Man close enough to give a powerful sidekick to Adam's arm.

'He can sponge my hits, but at the end of it all it's still a matter of endurance! A sponge can only hold so much until it overflows, and if I just keep hitting him while also getting the pace higher and higher...'

Being on all fours, Spider-Man's legs and arms catapulted him in every angle ricocheting off of every surface of the parking garage.

'Then he can't possibly attack me!'

As Spider-Man continued jumping from one place to another, Adam stood back up, rubbed the spot where the kick landed and let out a grunt of pain.

'Not bleeding thanks to my aura taking the brunt of the attack, but it looks like the strike was still strong enough to cause hematoma.' He flexes his arm to check if it's still able to move. 'That hit felt stronger than the last. I can already tell just by holding my sheath that my drip is now weaker, but I'm still able to wield her properly.'

Satisfied that the attack didn't hinder the use of his appendage, Adam made sure to have his wits about him now that Spider-Man was starting to show his true strength. 'His attacks didn't show any discipline, technique, or any other martial arts I've ever seen. Spider-Man's stance, instinct, and his attacks are basic, barbaric in in its simplicity. I was planning to just disable his mobility and stall for time as he wastes energy, yet it seemed to do the opposite and now his movements are harder to read and his hits are more stronger.'

"Normal means aren't going to cut it." Still slightly able to track Spider-Man's crazy movements, the White Fang activist immediately reacted as he lost Spider-Man's whereabouts for a split second! "Can't be on the defense anymore!"

Years of battle has groomed the swordsman's instincts to move fast enough to spot Spider-Man above him.

Sidestepping to avoid a downward kick from Spider-Man, a hit that created a small crater, Adam chose to get closer to the hero and to engage rather than creating distance between them. 'I need to control the flow of the fight! Otherwise, the next hit he lands could easily break my bones!'

Taking swings at Spider-Man's arms and legs to have Spider-Man no longer use his agility and speed, the hooded spider switched up his stance and was now countering Adam in melee combat.

"I got to ask-" Spider-Man ducked and then performed a leg sweep that missed as Adam jumped high enough to avoid it. "You got the red air, the suit that also has the color red, and seeing how your weapon is also red I have to ask. Does the carpet match the drapes? Sorry if it sounds rude to you, I just wanted to ask. Or does every person I fight have to dress up in their favorite colors? I mean, is it really common for Huntsmen to dress up in clothes that no normal person would ever wear?"

A swing went too wide and knowing that Spider-Man would attack after seeing the opening, Adam decided to use that mistake by riding the momentum of his swing to make him spin around to have his back exposed.

As Adam expected, Spider-Man took the bait and when he was about to punch Adam, Spider-Man's danger sense screamed to make him move inches to either the left or right.

Spider-Man listened and his reward was for him to avoid a shot from Adam's gun that was aimed over his shoulder.

The miniscule pause seemed to be enough as Adam performed a stab attack which Spider-Man caught with both hands. Under his mask, Jaune bit his lip as he felt the sharp blade cut the fabric and the skin of his hands from such a risky move.

'Dang sword is going to be a problem. I need to break it!'

Thinking the sword would break like any other weapon he crushed in his hands, a memory of the time he broke Roman's cane came to mind, Spider-Man was then feeling something was off at the situation before him.

Spider-Man's strength, his superhuman strength that he always had to hold back in fear of breaking something or something failed him. The sword was still not broken in fact, Spider-Man felt like the more force he tried to apply to the blade it started to feel harder and harder to shatter.

"Augh." Adam attempted to force the blade forward only to be in a stand still thanks to Spider-Man's super strength and adhesive skin holding the blade in place, but was cutting into Spider-Man's hands even deeper. "You're already pushing the envelope of saying you're a symbol for Faunus! But this is ridiculous!"

"It's inevitable, Spider-Man! Just accept your fate and die with honor by the sword!"

"Can you sound anymore lamer?! A friend of mine taught me a word about people who act like they're in a cartoon and I think the word Chuunibyou fits you perfectly!" As he spewed his usual barbed words, Spider-Man continued to test his might by trying to snap the sword in half. "For the record, not able to break something intentionally is kind of a first for me!"

"You're not the first, nor the last to underestimate my blade. For this blade is my made of Menagerie's greatest-"

"If I can't break the sword-" Thinking on his feet, the hero had a different use for his strength.

"What!?" Out of sheer stupidity or astonishment, Spider-Man who did not adjust or even tried to loosen his hold on the fixed blade, lifted Adam in the air.

"I'll just break the swordsman!" Spider-Man cried.

"RAAAH!" A mighty roar came from the webbed hero and Adam was thrown across the parking garage.

Rolling on the solid cement floor and only stopping when he stabbed his sword in the ground, Adam was ready to make a counter attack when he was once again caught off guard at what came next.

(TWIP, TWIP)

Crossing his arms, shooting his signature web lines aimed at two cars that were at Adam's left and right side, Spider-Man pulled his arms back and sent the cars crashing in to Adam.

Sandwiched, Adam was immobilized even more when the hooded hero unleashed web glob after web glob, filling the space between the cars to have Adam unable to lift his arms or legs ultimately rendering him immobile.

"I'm sure there's a joke about the situation you're in right now, but for the life of me I can't remember it." He dropped his guard and set his sights on the main task at hand. "Now, back to rescuing the hostage."

Clearing his mind and listening to the spiders assisting him, Spider-Man was informed that their getaway van has yet to move.

"Still there at the same spot." He winced when he felt his hand that was damaged by the destroyed web shooter twitch involuntary. "Tch! I'm starting to feel the pain, guess I was too focused on the fighting to not notice. Glad I'm still able to shoot webs or else I'll I could've been in real disadvantage."

His relaxed demeaner didn't last long as Spider-Man's spider sense flared up. Not just his spider sense, but his other spider ability of sensing vibrations underneath his feet.

"Danger?" Confused, Spider-Man looked at the only thing he can assume to be the only danger and witnessed why his spider sense warned him he was in trouble.

It was Adam, still sandwiched between two cars taped in webbing, who was now glowing brightly like a Christmas ornament.

"Holy!" It was getting so bright that Spider-Man had to shield his eyes. "Since when can he do that!?"

Spider-Man's vision might be temporarily blurry, but that didn't stop his ears to pick up the sound of an explosion and his spider sense helping him dodge incoming shrapnel and car parts.

After dodging a driver side door, the brightness started to subside and Spider-Man finally opened his eyes to see a now free Adam. This time though, Adam still had a bright glow around him, but his appearance was not as pristine like before.

His clothes had tears and scorch marks, skin was slightly red like he had a mild sunburn, and his mask that his upper face showed signs of cracking.

'He didn't absorb the explosion?' Spider-Man found it odd how Adam was able to absorb the explosion from his web shooter, yet couldn't absorb the car explosion. 'I guess my theory was right. Just like Yang, he can only absorb so much until it spills over.'

"Tch!" Wiping away some stray blood dripping down his mouth. The crazy Huntsman decided that enough was enough with Spider-Man's hit and run tactics and performed his signature stance. "Run, dodge, try to attack me all you want, it's all in vain with what I'm about to do next."

'Is he actually trying to attack? Didn't he already use up all his energy just to break free?'

Calling his bluff, Spider-Man bounced around and searched for any possible route to attack. He was also making sure he was keeping a fast pace to give Adam a harder time.

'I underestimated him and got slashed. I'm not going to take a second chance and attack with reckless abandon.' Staying at one spot and then appearing in another, Spider-Man observed Adam long enough to see the bull Faunus about to strike. 'I'm not close enough for him to attack, yet he's going to draw his weapon? What's his angle?'

Still out of Adam's reach, Spider-Man landed on a stone pillar and was planning on leaping to another that was across from him when he soon felt the back of his skull screaming at him.

Moving his head, Spider-Man can see that Adam unsheathed his blade and swung nothing but air, but it wasn't the sword swing that scared Spider-Man.

Rather, it was something that came from the sword that mortified Spider-Man.

"Woahaaaaa!" A large wall of red light came out of nowhere after Adam swung his blade and engulfed the hero. His vision blinded, body feeling like it was on fire, and even when he felt his body crash into something metallic, only one thing rang in Spider-Man's head.

"W-what.." Still conscious his eyes fluttered open and saw Adam casually walking to him. "W-was that?"

Moving his head, as little as he possibly could with how even a single muscle sent terrible pain to his brain, Spider-Man could see that a smashed car helped him break his fall.

"Gah!" When lifting his now scorched forearms and seeing most of his costume now burned. Spider-Man was beginning to think there was more to Adam's semblance when it comes to just absorbing energy like Yang's power.

"You," It felt worse when talking in a complete sentence. "Was that your true Semblance?"

Adam stopped walking and opened his mouth to show his astonishment at Spider-Man's strong will at still being alive. No one ever lived after he uses his signature move, yet Spider-Man was still alive, with no Aura, and was still coherent to speak.

'Now that I think about it. I have yet to see any signs of his aura protecting him after my blade made contact to his arm and leg. All this time fighting him was his natural abilities and not Aura or a Semblance? Who is this person?'

Leaving that aside, Adam chose to give Spider-Man an explanation before inevitably ending the fool.

"Whenever I use my Semblance to its fullest, my foes breathes their last breath making it easier for me to hide my true skills. Only a few know how my ability works, Blake knows, but I highly doubt she told you or anyone she considers her 'friend' about it's true capabilities."

"Y-you're not wrong there." He hated how he agreed to Adam's statement. 'Damn it Blake!'

"I can absorb energy and store it within me. Be it common types like fire, electricity, and even kinetic forces by some extent." He looked at Spider-Man and smirked. "But I'm sure you were aware of that, Spider-Man."

'I hate to admit, but yeah. I thought his semblance was like Yang's that lets her take damage and double her physical strikes.' A rookie mistake that costed him to this state.

"I'm even positive to assume you thought that it boosts my physicality too. A sad mistake that everyone assumes and one that I do not want to correct. In truth, what you just witnessed and even endured was indeed my true Semblance." Adam stopped a good distance to Spider-Man still embedded into a crushed car. "I can absorb energy, and when I see fit, I unleash it in a powerful and deadly shockwave."

"But..." A haggard breath cut off Spider-Man's speech. "You were in an explosion though, so why are you injured and not absorbing it?"

Spider-Man thought Adam would frown at seeing a glaring flaw in Adam's Semblance, yet he still sported that superior look on his face.

"While it is true I can both absorb and unleash the power I receive from outside forces. I cannot, unfortunately use both at the same time. A flaw that I know can be used against me is but a small flaw I can look over thanks to my Aura taking most of the pain, leaving only minimal damage."

"Of course, the answer was Aura. It's always Aura." If Spider-Man wasn't already in terrible pain, then he would have slapped his forehead in frustration. 'Aura is BS!'

"My semblance is quite a destructive force. Each Huntsman, when having their Aura unlocked, has a unique Semblance reflecting who they are. Mine shows that no matter what threat comes my way, I will take it in stride and use it attack any and all aggressors who is a threat to the Faunus race."

"Pretty words for a killer. It's basically like a bomb, waiting to explode."

"…Heh, yes, I do suppose that's also an accurate assumption of my Semblance. An explosion that does not discriminate between friend or foe only destroying everything around it." Adam said in a nostalgic way. "My Semblance is known to affect everyone and everything around me, but luckily enough, my kingdom, Menagerie, gave me something that finally gives my power direction."

Flicking the handle to have the blade up to Adam like a mirror.

"This sword and it's sheath are not made by the common metals used to create a Huntsmen's weapon. Wilt and Blush was made out of a material that transcends all known metals in Remnant. It was said to be a myth, a metal only known as the gift of the gods."

"That's the only thing historians were able to learn about this mystery metal. Just a title of something that was rumored to be a gift from some gods."

After beating Rito senseless, Roman felt a bit bored and since he had time to kill and also seeing Rito still awake. He thought it would be a good change up and told the black and blue hero a little history lesson.

"This gift sent from above crashed into remnant millions- or wait, I think it was billions, or trillions?" Roman waved it aside. "Millions of billions of trillions whatever- it was a long time ago! Anyway, this big rock fell and landed in Remnant and after a long time of evolution and the birth of humanity some people apparently discovered shards of this rock from space."

Pushing Melodic Cudgel curved handle onto Rito's throat, Roman spoke more about the meteor as Rito gagged and coughed from the pressure of having something blocking his airway.

"You see, most of all Huntsmen schools tend to use the go to metal, known all throughout Remnant as carbonadium the toughest metal known to man. Even some Huntsmen with a strength Semblance have a hard time breaking them and that's why it was a sought-after material. Otherwise, if they used common metals like steel or iron, then they were going to break easily or ware out the more they're used by Huntsmen."

Roman pulled back the cane to let the unmasked Spider-Man breath.

"I do miss my old walking stick." A shake from his head to show his sadness. "I paid good money to make her out of 100% pure carbonadium and when the guy I handed the money showed me his finished product."

An actual tear fell down Roman's cheek.

"The first thought I had when she was in my hands was to bash the skull of the blacksmith who made Melodic Cudgel and then take back my money."

A few claps were heard from above where Neo was perched on top a stack of large crates.

"Thank you! Thank you!" Roman bowed. "Loved that cane! So dear to me and all those fond memories of crippling and bludgeoning fools who thought they can beat me! Sadly you," Roman bonked Rito's head, or to be more precise slammed it down on him like a sledgehammer. "Had to ruin it by breaking my weapon! It blew my mind that someone like you had the capacity to actually break carbonadium. I thought I would have to spend another small fortune to replace her! But luckily, or unluckily, I had someone who had connections to get me a better one. Yup, the little story I told you about, yeah, this new toy of mine is made out of it and it's a whole lot stronger!"

"That metal is named Vibranium." Adam revealed to Spider-Man the true name of the metal. "Funny how humans gave us Menagerie and not realize they given Faunus the tools to overthrow them. Even if I have a small amount of energy stored up, I can transfer it to my blade and the metal is able to conduct it and unleash a devastating blow! The power in my sword strike is even increased tenfold when I sheath it to allow the energy to pass back and forth between the sword and the sheath that is also made of the same metal."

The first time he witnessed the true power hidden within Menagerie, Adam knew that if the White Fang truly wants to show the entire world that they are a threat, they must use the vibranium to show the rest of Remnant that they are not to be ignored. It's wide array of usefulness could tip the scales on the economy, even paving the way of brand-new possibilities that can make Dust lose its own value and more importantly, ruin the SDC.

"Blake's father, Ghira, chose to hide the vibranium rather than use it to our advantage! Only his family and close friends within his guard know all about it." Adam was one such close friend who Ghira respected and was the one who gifted Wilt and Blush to him, but it seemed as the years passed Ghira saw Adam's true nature and kept the location of vibranium hidden. "Our people and even the current leader of the White Fang still think it's not real, but Ghira can't hide it forever. Few who believe in Vibranium would try to find it in Menagerie. I may know of the metal, yet even I know that trying to find it within Menagerie is impossible."

Searching for it within Blake's kingdom would be a wasted effort without forcing Ghira to spill its location and causing unrest in Menagerie.

Thankfully, Adam didn't have to go through with that route. Thanks to his temporary partnership with Cinder.

'It infuriated me how she came into my life.' Adam remembered his first encounter with Cinder. After Blake's betrayal, Adam was frustrated, he not only lost a student, but also a valuable key to helping him get vibranium. 'When Cinder walked in while I was still planning my next move, I had half a mind to split her down the middle before she could even explain why she was here.'

Cinder thought she could bribe him with Lien and Dust to gain his favor and all that was returned with a warning to never comeback or else they would kill her and her flunkies. If those was not enough to sway him, she told him of a deal that he could not refuse.

And that deal was in a form of a rock, a rock that shared the same durability as virbranium and the location of where she obtained the strongest metal in all of Remnant!

'So long as I play her little game, I will be rewarded with what I desire. If Ghira and Blake cannot see it in themselves to elevate Faunus to a higher standard, then I will and the place that will help my goal is being held by Cinder. A place that has the same or even more Vibranium, a land that isn't even on the map, a land that Cinder knows is real and will tell me if I help her plans.'

"What about Blake?" Spider-Man asked. Not for curiosities sake, but to buy time as he tried to communicate to any spiders to tell him if the hostage was safe or not. 'My head is too hazy to properly listen to them! If I can't get their help, I'll just buy some time and think of a way to beat Adam! Still, knowing about his Semblance and his weapons gives me a good head start on my counter attack.'

"Blake was a disappointment to say the least." Past memories of teaching her as his student made him mad at the end result of her abandoning the cause and wasting his time. "She saw her parents' cowardice and sided with me to take a more forward approach to things. Showed great conviction for the White Fang and she was almost willing to tell me about her family's secret about vibranium too. Sadly, Blake seemed to inherit her parent's spinelessness and left the organization."

On and on Adam talked about his reason for the revolution and how the White Fang will set their people free. Not once noticing Spider-Man already feeling better as the pain slowly subsiding giving him control of his limbs as Adam continued to fill in the gaps of Blake and her family history. Spider-Man still didn't want to rush things and went back to working on a strategy of beating Adam.

'No, I hate to admit it, but I'm too injured to keep fighting him. The longer I do, the higher the chance I'll just be risking the councilman's safety.' Mind going over dozen scenarios, Spider-Man looked over any possible solution to escape this fight. 'I should have focused more on rescuing then fighting Adam. Not too late though, I can still fix this by slowing him down. He said that he can't absorb and expel energy at the same time, so maybe I can work that to my advantage. And speaking about energy….'

Everything around the two was trashed cars and nothing else that could help solve Spider-Man's problems. A light bulb seemed to light up though and gave Spider-Man an idea on how he can turn the tables.

"Now, Spider-Man, it is time." Said Adam as he prepared for his final attack.

'Oh, darn it, was he already finished talking!?' Seeing Adam perform the same motions, the hero tensed his muscles as he got ready for what's to come. 'Can't mess this up! I have one chance to catch him by surprise!'

Like before, Adam's appearance started to glow and as it got brighter and brighter the sensation of Spider-Man's skull tingling gave him the signal to move.

A flash of light blinded him and Spider-Man's body finally moved by doing a half flip and sprang in the air using his arms.

Adam, who was too focused on what was in front of him, didn't spot Spider-Man landing behind him giving the hero the window of opportunity.

Shooing two web lines at two stone columns, Spider-Man took a step back, lifted his feet, and used the webs elasticity to catapult Spider-Man into Adam.

Adam was knocked off his feet and flew straight into his own attack!

"You said you can absorb enemy attacks, but I wonder if you can do the same for yours!" Shouted Spider-Man as he watched Adam become engulfed by his own power. Not just by own power, but the car that Spider-Man was laying in too, since the energy collided with the ruined car it caused a reaction making a large explosion in the process.

Guarding his head with his arms from the smoke and shockwave, the hooded spider lowered them back down to see nothing but fire.

"That should stop him for now." A thought crossed Spider-Man thinking Adam could be dead only to brush it aside. "I doubt he could die from something like this. Not when he was talking about how his Aura protected him."

Breathing getting labored, the hero was starting to have difficulties getting air in his lungs. "Must be cause of all the smoke from the fire and the trashed cars everywhere."

'Damn it! Breathing is getting harder and now I'm starting to think Adam would die from all this carbon monoxide!' Don't get him wrong, Spider-Man hates Adam for what he's committed and he's sure others would leave him to die by such a silent killer, but he wasn't most people. "Guess I need to help-"

(KABOOOM)

An explosion erupted making the cars flying everywhere and Spider-Man using his super powered agility to dodge and weave past the burning debris.

Jumping over a car that was on fire, as soon as Spider-Man landed did he see a crimson arc of energy heading straight for him.

'He's still able to attack!?' Spider-Man wondered if Adam's Aura was bigger than he expected or that he was just a monster, but either way, what mattered right now was dodging the attack.

'It's a lot smaller than the last one he used!' Spider-Man went through his memories as he ducked underneath the blast. 'Just how much more can this guy take!? ...Huh?'

He saw Adam running, his bone mask gone to show his face filled with rage that had a burning mark that said 'SDC', but what really surprised Spider-Man the most was that Adam wasn't holding his sword.

'Where is his sword?!'

The answer came to him in a painful way.

(SHNK)

"AGHH!" Spider-Man felt something burning touch his shoulder that soon turned cold. Looking over to said shoulder, Spider-Man found that it was Adam's sword stabbing him from the back. 'There it is!'

Looking at the weapon that was sticking out of him, Spider-Man didn't notice, or maybe he was mostly still in shock of a sword impaling his shoulder, Adam jumping on top of him and used his sheath to choke out the web head.

"Guk!" A hold like this Spider-Man could have easily broken. The major problem was with the sword still in place made things extremely painful for Spider-Man to try and break the hold Adam has over him.

"You dare think you bested me!" Adam shouted, but Spider-Man seemed only to only focus on trying to breath.

"You dare use 'You dare' in a sentence?!" Spidey's quip only fell to deaf ears as Adam squeezed harder on to Spider-Man's wind pipe. "Gah!"

"I have trained most of my life to be the vessel for our race's rage against humans! And you think you can beat me so easily with a stunt like that!? Who do you think you are, boy!?"

'A person who's going to die!' Breathing was getting hard enough thanks to all this smoke, but with Adam strangling him and shouting behind his head it was really difficult for Spider-Man to think of a way out of this. 'No good, I feel like I'm about to pass out. No, it's more than that, I feel like my body is starting to burn! Think, think, think or you're going to die, Jaune!'

"You're no hero or a warrior, just someone who thinks he's one! An imposter who tricks the people in to thinking you're their savior! No more false idols and no more heroes!" Pulling even harder on the sword sheath, Adam saw Spider-Man desperately use his only moving arm to knock Adam away.

'I'm starting to black out!' Spots were appearing in his eyes and he could already feel his heart pounding even harder to try its best to keep the body going. 'Am I really going to die here?'

Spider-Man's struggling was pitiful as his strength slowly disappeared as he haplessly smacked his now weakening arm as Adam continued to tighten his grip around Spider-Man's neck.

"I…" Spider-Man's last words couldn't be said as his arm finally stopped moving showing he has lost the fight as well as his life.

Thinking he has killed the hero, Adam leaned closer to hear for any feint breath.

"…"

"…."

"….."

There was no sign of breath and even if he's pretending, Spider-Man also has to deal with the blade still embedded in his right shoulder blade leaving a puddle of blood underneath him.

"You could've died a more honorable death." Was Adam's final goodbye to the now deceased Spider-Man. "Loser."

And just as the fire began to grow even more a car exploded making a chain reaction to any vehicles near it shaking the very foundations of the garage park.

Making one large, annoying sound.

"GRAAAAH!" Either by a miracle or pure BS luck, Spider-Man used his free arm to reach for Adam's head like he was trying to rip his face off.

Adam tried once more to close Spider-Man's throat, even trying desperately to even break his neck, but try as he might Spider-Man continued to fight back even more.

"Damn you! How are you still alive!?"

'What is this?! He's already lost too much blood and he wasn't breathing for what could only be more than 5 minutes! No normal person, not even Huntsmen, can take this much abuse especially without Aura!'

As Adam, was too focused on killing Spider-Man, he ignored the odd sensation coming from the webhead's palm that was still latched to the side of his marked face. He only assumed it was just the heat from the fire around them, but as he continued to try and kill Spider-Man he soon couldn't bare the odd sensation and soon dropped his hold on the hero.

"AAHHH!" Dropping his sheath, Adam screamed in pain as he wiped his face with his hands. "My face!"

Looking at Spider-Man who was pulling out the sword from his back, Adam's only eye glared down at the hero who made the scar Adam has even worse.

"What did you do to my FACE!?" What was once a burned brand of the 'SDC' was now gone and in its place was a hand mark that sealed the other eye shut, burned his ear, and even seared the corner of Adam's lips shut too.

"AAHHH!" One tug and the sword was pulled out! Body now running on whatever it can use, Spider-Man threw the sword into the ceiling causing cracks to appear. Not finished with whatever he was doing, Spider-Man ejected a web line at the damaged ceiling and pulled with all his might.

"GAAAAH!" Pain getting even worse when using both arms, Spider-Man pulled just enough to cause the ceiling to crumbling. "RAAHHH!"

Rage turning to seething hatred, Adam charged at Spider-Man, not even caring that the ceiling was falling.

"SPIDER-MAAAN!" Before his hands could reach the hero, Adam's advanced was short lived as the rubble split the two away from one another.

"I got…" Spider-Man made a wet cough and soon the lower part of his mask showed crimson. "I NEED TO LEAVE!"

One leg after the other he made it out of the parking garage the same way Adam's goons left and was rewarded with the sun bathing him in warm light with the wind licking his cheeks.

"Huff… huff…" Feeling uncomfortable with his mask he lifted it up to let his mouth take in more air that wasn't smothered in his blood. "HAAAA~! I can breathe!"

'I seriously thought I was going to die!' If he was honest with himself, he honestly thought he did. It was a scary experience and even though he had several near-death moments as Spider-Man, this one was by far the worst.

Using one hand to touch his neck, Spider-Man could still feel the lingering pain of Adam using his sword sheath to try and crush his wind pipe.

'I honestly thought I wasn't going to make it. Thankfully the noise from all those cars exploding woke me up just in the right time when Adam loosened his hold on me.'

"God! This hurts so bad!" He wasn't sure how he was still standing right now. Was it the adrenaline? His will to keep moving? Or maybe his body was getting used to so much abuse? "I don't really like the idea of the third one."

Clearing his mind to communicate to the spiders his connection seemed to be muddled and could not properly listen to his eight-legged friends.

"Ahh~! Sucked in too much carbon down there." Putting his mask back down, Spider-Man searched around to spot his target. "There's the car!"

Surprisingly enough the van was still parked and with no sign of it being attacked by Grimm. Even the driver seat was empty which should have tipped Spider-Man off about why they didn't have a getaway driver.

Reaching the back of the vehicle and opening the back. What Spider-Man saw was not a bunch of White Fang soldier only an injured and heavily bleeding man lying face down. Entering the van, Spider-Man gently pulled the man to have him lay on his back and searched the body for any wounds.

"Damn it!" It was easier said than done with how his clothes were caked with blood making it hard for Spider-Man to look for any injury. "Come on! Where is it!?"

'If I can find the wound, I can close it up with some webbing!' As his hands were searching, Spider-Man lowered his head to ear the councilman's breathing. 'It's shallow, but it's faint! I can- wait, I think I found it!'

Finally finding the injury to be a stab wound, Spider-Man ripped a piece of his hoodie, wiped the blood, and sealed it with some webbing.

"Ugh!" The man started to wake up from the pain and opened his eyes to see Spider-Man. "Aah!"

"Don't worry, sir." Seeing how frightened the man looked, Spider-Man made sure he spoke in a calm voice to calm him down.

"No, you stay-" Before he could say something, Spider-Man's skull signaled him something was not from outside.

"Stay here." Spider-Man ordered as he left the man inside for his own safety. Not a moment sooner when Spider-Man left the van a cop car drove from a corner of the street and stopped in front of the vigilante.

Two police officers left their car and pointed their guns on the hero who raised his hands in the air to show his compliance.

"Thank god!" A sigh of relief left his lips. Spider-Man wasn't sure how he could get this man to a hospital, but his worries were gone now that the police showed up. "I got a man here and needs-"

"Jesus! Is that man bleeding?!" One of the cops shouted, his hands reaching for his pistol. "Freeze, Spider-Man! Your coming with us for questioning!"

"Really?! Come on, dude! Look at me! I should be the one getting better treatment if you ask me!" Then again, looking at his blood-stained hands it did paint a bad picture of him committing the crime. 'I should just leave now and let them handle things from here. Spent too long on my end and I need to check with Rito to see his progress.'

Choosing to escape rather to talk any further, Spider-Man looked over his shoulder to see the cops tend to the wounded councilman.

'They should be able to call in for an ambulance to help him and staying any longer would be a waste of time too.'

"Still wonder where the White Fang went." A good distance away from his battle with Adam, Spider-Man landed on a traffic light to collect his thoughts. "My fight with Adam shouldn't have been that long. Actually, most of the fighting was mainly talking, but either way it shouldn't have been that long!"

'I wish I was able to communicate with spiders while at the same time fight.' His new ability shows great promise as reconnaissance, yet it was still too new for Spider-Man to get a good grasp at. "If their gone, then I should leave this problem aside for now and help Rito."

He didn't like the idea of letting them go, but he did enough by releasing the hostages and also saving the councilman. Spider-Man was also sure that hunting for the White Fang would take more time away from him finding his friend.

"Too much." If he wasn't feeling it before he was feeling it now, as the list of his problems seemed to grow. "One thing at a time. I helped the civilians and that's all that matter"

Pulling out his scroll that was luckily still intact, Spider-Man dialed Rito's number and waited for an answer.

"We're sorry, but the person-" A groan left his lips and he waited for the tone to leave a message. "Hey, Rito! I need to call me right away! I handled Adam, but I the rest of his group left. I'm going to find your location, but I just wanted to call to ask how things on your end are."

Hanging up, the hooded spider jumped off his little perch and started to web swing.

"Hmm?" Suddenly, the hero of this world stopped mid web swing, out stretched his left arm, and grabbed the side of a light post. "Spider sense tingling! Danger?"

Looking around to see people screaming in fear from grimm chasing them. Actually, taking a small moment to see his surroundings there was no danger anywhere.

"Even the noise is quieter now." How long was he underground? It couldn't have been that long to have Vale getting some semblance of order.

"Maybe Rito sealed up the entrances faster than I thought." Looking above him, Jaune could see Atlas airships souring above with some grimm attempting to escape or even try their luck at attacking. "Less flying grimm too."

All seemed to calm down in the kingdom, so why is his spider sense ringing?

"Listening to the spiders should help me figuring things out." Doing his best to suppressing the danger sense so he could better focus on communicating to his eight-legged friends. Reaching the range to around 3 miles, the blonde was informed that there was no danger.

"Need to spread the range even further."

His reach was now 6 miles and he started to gather information of people getting medical treatment, but no danger whatsoever.

"Further." He grimaced, trying his best to focus on his connection to his spiders and at the same time making sure he didn't lose track of where his spider sense was leading him. "It's hard to use both at the same time! If I focus too much on making my 'web' bigger, I would lose my grasp on my danger sense, meaning I would have to start over!"

6 miles was now 9 miles, then turning to the double digits of 13 miles, 15 miles, and when going past 25 miles it was discovered that the circle of fire that was trapping the center of the large kingdom was half way gone.

"I'm getting closer!" By now the reach of his 'web' was now reaching further and further when finally, something tugged on the other end. "Found you."

When getting the information on the disturbance, Jaune soon disrupted his connection and had a look of horror.

"Rito!" His friend was in danger! Even worse was that he was being held hostage by nonother then Roman, his silent sidekick Neo, and Sandman too! "Just when I thought things could get less complicated! Just hold on, Rito! I'm on my way!"

'It's so far away though!' This wasn't the usual trip from his home or at his school. Rito was far away and Spider-Man could already feel the fatigue creeping its way up his body.

"It's not how much time I need to be there." Spider-Man loosened his hold on the light post to land on the street. "It's about how fast I need to be."

Calling back the times he hanged out with Ruby, she would often explain the intricacies of her semblance being speed. How she would often tell him how she doesn't really experience time the same way as other people do whenever she activates her Semblance.

'I guess cause when I go super-fast, I never really account the time since I always arrive at where I want to be. Uncle Qrow compared it to the time he was at a race track for horse racing, how the horse only cared about reaching the end goal and nothing else. He also never told me why he was at a race track, but that's beside the point.'

"The distance between where I am and Rito." Getting into a starting position as if he was in track, Jaune relaxed his muscles and slowly breathed in and out.

'Just like a Ruby said.'

Blood started to rush throughout his veins within his legs.

'A race horse doesn't care about anything around it.'

Muscles began to tense up.

'They-'

The tips of his feet dug into the solid concrete roof.

'Just-'

Jaune opened his eyes.

'GO!'

And right of the gate, the young hero ran! Using his enhanced agility, speed, strength, and endurance all at once.

"Grr!" The fight from Adam moments ago still reminding him that he was injured and his sudden shift in high gear made the wounds that was already closed up to reopen and for fresh blood to drip out. Still he would not slow down and his body was seeming to show once again that it was able to push forward after all the abuse it's been through.

It may sound odd for him to think about this, but Jaune was grateful for his recent fight with the zealot swordsman as he used it to push himself even further. It was both a humbling and scary experience to the young super human. To learn that the gap between him and a Huntsmen was so close and yet far from what he expected. Genetic enhancements he may be gifted in, yet even he doesn't know the full length of his abilities. Sometimes he's even scared to think if his body will ever stop surprising him with such staggering growth.

But either way, scared or not, Jaune isn't going to think about now! For his friend is in danger!

'STOP!'

A single command from his mind snapped Jaune back into focus and stopped his forward motion. like a driver pushing the brakes on the car as it was speeding, his body stopped moving as the street beneath his feet couldn't handle the sudden impact that caused a small crater.

What could have taken longer for most people it has taken just minutes for Jaune to show up. Blood still pumping fast in his veins, he had to slow himself down or he would just be wasting energy for the fight that is ahead of him.

"Huff, huff, huff!" Catching his breath for a second, it didn't take long for him to set his sights on the unknown warehouse that was 3 buildings away from where he was standing. "Glad I stopped here and not any closer. I want to get the drop on them and catch them by surprise."

Just to double check if he was still in the clear. One quick use of his spider communication power told him that Roman did not kill Rito.

"Rito isn't looking so good either." Turning off his link with spiders, Jaune looked at his injured body. "Who am I kidding? I'm not winning any beauty pageants either."

The high speeds he was going made him start bleeding again, but not so much so that he would pass out. His arm, leg, and shoulder were starting to shake, so the blonde Spider-Man had to make do for his predicament by thinking outside the box.

"I honestly don't think I should try this." He said as he pulled out a fire-web cartridge from one of his pouches. "Mom, Dad, and TV always said not to imitate what I should watch." As he talked to himself, his body was doing the opposite by loading the new cartridge into his only web shooter and pointed it to his shoulder.

"I know I'm tough enough to survive an explosion," Jaune pointed his web shooter at his shoulder. "But that doesn't mean I should act tuff for what I'm about to do."

Pressing the trigger to eject the webbing laced with fire dust onto his shoulder. The web made contact to his flesh and when it settled the air that triggers the fire burned the sword wound.

Not stopping there, he also fired at his sliced leg to stop it from bleeding to and as for his arm it was already cauterized when he tried to fully block Adam's signature move.

"Ice web! Ice web!" Frantically, Jaune searched for each pouch and was rewarded with only finding one left. "Need to load this in and put out the fire!"

'Note to self: Don't do this again!'

Just as quick as before the fire was put out and was replaced with a thick layer of webbing that encased the leg and the shoulder in ice. Not finished yet he also used his regular webbing to cover over the injury, like bandage gauze being wrapped around a large band aid.

"Wound cauterized, ice to cool it off, and a fresh wrap of webbing! I think I did a pretty good job, if I do say so myself!" Feeling proud of his make shift first aid, the young hero turned his focus on making a strategy on rescuing his friend.

"Roman, Neo, and Sandman are in that building with Rito as their hostage. There's so many ways everything can turn south, but maybe if I find a way to free him, then things might not be so lopsided if two Spider-Men fight together."

While Jaune was scoping the enemy's stronghold from the outside. The Inside of the warehouse where Rito was being held captive had Flint Marco arguing with Roman.

"For god's sake, Roman! Enough is enough!" A face that Rito can only guess being Flint Marko emerged from the sand mound and glared down at Roman. "We got him under control, so you don't have to go overboard!"

"Oh, so now you finally found your moral compass." Pulling his cane away, Roman took a step back away from Flint. "Where was this minutes ago, huh? You could've done something then." No matter how many times Roman was remined how Flint had the most versatile and even possibly the most broken powers, he was still a loser in Roman's eyes with stunts like these being pulled out of nowhere.

"Don't tell me your getting cold feet? Over some dumb kid?" This was why he hated to work with people who were just nameless grunts that feel entitled to have an opinion just because they got power. They never talked back or tried to throw their weight around, because they knew they would learn their place either being beaten by an inch of their life by Roman or just plain dead by Neo. Hell, Roman didn't even know Flint by name only by face that just filled a spot as some thug.

With what Roman heard from the guy's power, the power to be sand, sounded dumb at first but seeing it for the first time when he turned into a giant sand monster the size of a goliath made Roman think twice about hurting the guy.

No, even hurting the guy seemed impossible, as the fact in the matter is that Flint doesn't bleed!

'All that power and yet he still comes back to ask to work for me.' Roman knows he's got charisma, but if Roman was in Flint shoes, he wouldn't being working under anyone. 'All this power and he's too afraid try and make Remnant on his own. What a failure.'

"That's exactly why, Roman. You're doing too much now!" Flint didn't like how his voice carried such concern over the boy. Maybe it was because he didn't like to see someone so young be bludgeoned so severely, or maybe it was because he was projecting his own parental concerns onto the young teen. Call it how you see it, cause right now Flint couldn't stomach to see Roman almost kill the boy. "Just, just-ok listen, kid is already weak as it is and can't put much of a fight now. You don't have to kill him and I can handle the other Spider-Man, so just let the kid go, I think he already got the message."

"Whoa, whoa, whoa! Slow your role there, Sandman. This isn't a debate. This boy wanted to act like a man and he's going to accept the responsibilities of one. His choice is already made and he's going to stay here and be bait."

"Roman!"

"I'm sorry," The master criminal raised both hands in front of him. "Who is in charge here? Last time I remember, you were willing to follow my lead. I also remember how you got your butt handed to you by the web head, so what are the chances of you actually wining?"

"Those were different!" At least, in Flint Marco's mind it was. The first time he fought Spider-Man he was only relying on simple force and not pushing his imagination to the fullest. "I can handle him this time. We don't have to use the boy as bait! Roman, for God's sake, you're planning to blow this place up with the kid inside!"

"Shhh!" Roman put his finger near his lips. "Keep it down! Yes, it sounds wrong when you say it out loud, but if you don't talk about it then I don't see any reason why we shouldn't do it."

"That doesn't even make sense!"

Both men were caught bickering over how to deal with Spider-Man, all while ignoring Neo still fiddling with Rito's D-dial.

She didn't know what it was of course only that it was in his costume with his scroll. It still piqued her interest however as this odd device had similar properties as any regular scroll. Neo has taken a lot of things in her life like Lien, cars, planes, lives, but something felt really interesting with this little piece of tech she has in her hands.

Was it how odd it was shaped? The weird design? Or maybe she just liked the sounds it makes whenever she pressed a button. But no matter what button she pressed the only thing that shows up on the screen was some pink haired chick and the little turd who was on death's door.

"….." Pressing random buttons that made different tunes, Neo playfully made a little tune with the odd scroll-like device.

"…?" Her thumb stopped on top of the center button as a feeling of unease settled around her. "…?"

Even now, one of things that she picked up in her early years was a very keen sense of awareness and that same awareness was telling her she was being watched.

And due to her pause from pressing any button the screen automatically cut to black to show her reflection and someone else just outside the corner of the screen.

"….." Slowly, as if just to crack her neck, Neo looked back to see no one there.

"…" Turning her neck to opposite way, Neo looked up to also see no one was there.

"….." A silent huff was her only sign of showing annoyance. She isn't a genius to know that the only one who could find this place was the Spider-Man she fought against during their first meeting.

She looks back at Roman and Flint who were still talking back and forth between what they should do with this wannabe, but if they asked her, she would have liked to fight him. Now, she wasn't some brawler who loved to fight people all the time, that would cut her own personal hobbies of relaxing and eating sweets.

No, she preferred to fight people she knows she can win and she felt a bit cheated at not being able to fight this kid who acted like a hero.

A hand was placed under her chin. "…..?"

On the other hand, Neo could get the chance now that the real Spider-Man was here. Again, she isn't a genius to know that Spider-Man was mostly here to save the faker from Roman, but this could be an opportunity she needs.

"Let's say we are good Samaritans and we do get this punk somewhere else and give him a benefit of a doubt that he stops being Spider-Fake. What about Adam or Cinder? You think they won't notice how two heroes appeared in different parts of the city?"

"There too busy with their own plans, Roman. If we just show them the body when we kill-"

Rolling her eyes at all this exposition, Neo used her other hand to play with a strand of hair as she weighed her options.

She could warn them and they could just kill the brat and make the real Spider-Man enraged.

Or she could just fight the real one and let Roman and the new guy continue to bicker as she steals a kill from them.

"…!" Pouting at how these choices sounded fun, Neo's brain gave her a third option that sounded way more fun.

Smiling to herself, Neo activated her semblance to start her little game, but not on her of course. No, what she had in mind was something a little more surprising for both parties to enjoy.

"No one else but Rito and Roman's little crew." After a small reconnaissance to check around for any good spot to start his plan, Jaune chose the roof to be his best option. "Saw Neo having his D-dial. Not a good sign, even if Rito said that thing was not working. Makes things even more tough now that I have to rescue Rito and get that phone away from her."

Finding a good vantage point he looked through a rooftop window looking down at Roman still talking with Sandman, Jaune moved away, took a quick check up with his dressing over his wounds, and looked back to see Roman and Sandman still talking.

"The distance between Rito and Neo is pretty far, but saving him is more important! Sorry, Rito, I hope you can wait a little longer to get home!"

Not waiting anymore, Jaune stood up, jumped in the air, shot two web lines on each side of the window, and used the elastic force and gravity to launch him through the window.

His speed was fast enough for Roman to not dodge in time as Spider-Man's feet connected to his chest that soon shattered Roman into tiny pieces.

Behind his mask, Jaune's eyes went wide with surprise as not only did Roman shatter, but so did Sandman and Rito too!

"Spider-Man!?" Hearing Roman's voice from behind him, Spider-Man turned around to see Roman, Sandman, and Rito right next to him!

'When did they get there?' He remembered that Roman and Sandman were standing in the same spot when he was looking outside the window. 'Don't tell me it was that mute girl and her semblance. Did she make an illusion to change where they were standing? Did she do it when I wasn't looking? Dang it, I hate questions like these!'

With his surprise attack and chance to take at least one bad guy down, Spider-Man stared at Roman and Roman stared at Spider-Man.

(TWIP)

"Gaah!" Roman screamed as his vision was covered in webbing! "Kill this bug already!"

Following the order, Sandman unleashed a turret of sand at the hooded spider. The force behind the sand was strong enough to shatter the walls of the building making large holes every time Sandman missed his shot.

Spider-Man wasn't planning on dodging forever and when he tried to attack Sandman by using his ice webs the villain would use Rito as a human shield.

"What happened with taking the kid somewhere else, Sandman?" And he was starting to think Sandman wasn't such a bad guy too. "First you cared about his safety and now this! Guess you're not just full of sand, but full of sh-iiiiee!"

Body quickly going on autopilot to dodge impalement from underneath the floor, Spider-Man swung higher into the air and landed on one of the steel frames that were designed to hold up the roof.

"If you care about the kid, then just stand still and die!" The sand villains screamed. Manipulating the sand that he fired out the warehouse to converge on top of the roof to attack Spider-Man from above. With Sandman putting all his focus on attacking Spider-Man, Sandman's metal focus was also loosening his hold on Rito.

'He must be paying too much attention on Jaune to notice his hold on me.' This could be a good time to break out, but with how messed up Rito was he wasn't sure if he could be much help. 'Wait, maybe I can help! Now that his hold is weaker, I can use the ice web that I do to freeze him on the inside!'

While Rito was waiting for the right time to spring his escape, the other Spider-Man was now dealing with his next opponent, Neo, who showed her skills in acrobatics and agility as she fought Spider-Man on the steel frame.

Neo lunged her parasol at Spider-Man and got too close with Spider-Man throwing a punch that shattered her into tiny pieces.

Spider sense alerting him of danger as his body swerved to the left to avoid a stab from the back by Neo who once again shattered into pieces when Spider-Man tried to kick her.

He knows he can fend of the small psycho, but it wasn't helping his chances of beating her any faster when Sandman was still blasting sand barrages and even had sand pouring out the roof to attack him simultaneously!

'Can't stay in one place forever! I need to move!' Jumping with no hesitation, Spider-Man shot a web line aimed at another steel frame only for it to shatter. 'She can even make illusions of the environment too!?'

Spider sense once again kicking in when he is in danger, Spider-Man's insane flexibility and agility saved him as he dodged one of Sandman's attacks in midair. Seeing Spider-Man falling, the sand villain shifted some of his body to move where Spidey was falling and morphed into a bed of spikes.

'If I can't use the what's above me to help me webswing,' Shooting two web lines at a large stack of wooden boxes, Spider-Man pulled causing an avalanche of falling debris that he used as platforms. 'I'll just have to use what's around me.'

Jumping from one falling crate after the other, Spider-Man landed safely on the ground, shot another web line at a nearby wooden box, and threw it at Neo who once again broke into pieces. Not finished yet, Spider-Man started to hurl crate after crate at the ceiling in every direction, until eventually Neo jumped down and decided that playing above ground put too much effort into her semblance.

Both Neo and Sandman now in the same level, Spider-Man pressed the attack on Neo who was almost on with Spider-Man's agility and flexibility. The mute knew from the last time they fought she can't use her usual sneak attacks on this guy, but that doesn't leave her useless when it comes to a real fight. Showing Spider-Man her skills as a fighter, Neo switched roles as the one taking the offense with Spider-Man now dodging her flurry of kicks and stabs from her parasol.

Her bladed umbrella and her kicks weren't much of a problem for the web head, but what made it hard to fight Neo was Sandman supporting her by using long range attacks and the sand that was scattered everywhere.

Two against one was not a good fight for Spider-Man and he didn't know how long until Roman gets in the fight too. Mind thinking on his next course of action was going to be when he noticed the sand that was attacking him stopped moving then soon returned to being normal sand.

"Rito!" Taking a glance at his friend, Spider-Man can see that Sandman was now having trouble with his own body as it was starting to freeze from the inside out thanks to Rito!

"Don't relax just yet! I'll deal with Sandman; you beat Neo and get my phone back!"

Nodding his head, the Spider-Man of this universe now had the advantage against Neo.

"…!" As if knowing what he was thinking, Neo didn't give him the satisfaction of showing nervousness and instead only gave him a smirk and a hand gesture to bring on whatever he's got.

"Times like this, I really wish I knew how to trash talk in sign language." Said Spider-Man as he charged at Neo that shattered when they collided and soon reappeared from his right side with her parasol aimed to stab him between the ribs.

Right when the tip of her weapon could pierce the fabric of his suit, Spider-Man's reaction was instantaneous as his left arm stopped it by holding the blade between his thumb and pointer finger.

"..?!" Stunned at how strong his finger strength is, Neo felt like she was trying to push through a brick wall! Even more surprising was Neo being flung into the air by Spider-Man's strength and was about to break her fall when something snagged her weapon.

"You don't need this-" Spider-Man said tugging his web line that he attached to her umbrella when she tried to stab him. With Neo's weapon now in his hand, Spider-Man using the same hand that was holding it crushed it in half. "Anymore! Ohmygod legs!" Spider-Man ducked to avoid a high kick from the now irate mute girl.

Neo was no longer having fun playing after what Spider-Man did to her weapon Hush. Combining her semblance and close combat prowess, Neo appeared and reappeared everywhere around Spider-Man. Of course, it may appear she is trying to attack him all at once, poking and prodding to see if she can find one small moment of Spider-Man making a mistake for her to monopolize.

In Spider-Man's perspective he saw countless Neo's trying to attack him, yet when one would strike or miss, they would soon shatter and be replaced with another one.

One Neo went for a frontal attack and when she was close enough to punch him, she shattered.

"That was a fake." His spider sense didn't trigger and it didn't go off when another Neo attacked him from behind. "That was fake too."

Over and over he was attacked by a fake Neo and not once did he move a muscle as he concentrated on how to find her.

'She's a person who takes any opportunity to attack and she's clearly waiting for me to make a mistake. Too bad for her, because she just gave me more time to find her!'

Spider-Man was thinking about using his eight-legged friends to find her, but he decided to not use their help when he learned more about Neo's semblance. With how strong her illusions are, Spider-Man can guess that her semblance might even fool his spider friends making him use his other useful power.

'Focus on the vibrations form the ground.' In his head, Spider-Man was imagining he was in the center of a web and those within it was disturbing it. The first one he noticed was frantic foot stomping that could only be owned by Roman who was still trying to get the webbing off his face. Another was a lighter set, but still somewhat weighted, which was Rito, and the third was a bit odd to describe as it felt like little pebbles pelting the very floor near Rito's footsteps.

'I can feel another person's footsteps and it's way lighter than the other three.' They had a gentle rhythm to her steps and they were leading to where Rito was. 'She's getting ready to kill Rito!'

Spider-Man dashed past Rito, who was freezing Sandman, raised his fist, and when he let loose his punch at nothing but air it was soon discovered that Spider-Man did in fact hit something.

The strong punch to the face not only made Neo's focus on her illusion break it also sent her off her feet and skidded on to the floor. When she got back on her feet, Neo felt something strong tug her back into the air and was welcomed by another punch to the face by Spider-Man.

'Keep punching.' That simple command was all Spider-Man thought about as he continued to do the same process over and over again. Whenever he punched her, he would always shoot a web at her and pulled her back to give Neo a punch or a kick that dwindled her aura. 'Don't give her time to even think!'

Punch, web string, pull, punch, and repeat. It was as if Spider-Man was pulling a stun lock from a fighting game as he never once gave Neo breathing room to try and escape his onslaught of attacks.

'Just like the fight with Adam. Use your natural abilities to the fullest! Your faster, stronger-'

The sound of shattering glass broke him from his thought, but fortunately he was able to detect a small vibration making it easy for Spider-Man to find her. Breaking her illusion once more by shooting a web line at where she was hiding and pulling her back to him, Spider-Man did not throw a punch this time but a flying knee to her face.

'And your ability to detect anything around you is a perfect counter to her illusions.' As a matter of fact, out of everyone within Spider-Man's group of friends that are huntsmen, he alone is best suited to handle someone like Neo and her skillset. 'Can't give her too much distance like I did with Adam! Don't stop until she falls!'

A punch to her stomach, followed up by a punch to the side of her face made her airborne and was brought back down by a downward kick making her hit the solid cement floor. The force of the hit was strong enough for her to bounce off the floor and back in the air for Spider-Man to perform an uppercut to her stomach!

"….?!" Even when being tossed and thrashed, Neo still held on to her conscious and refused to go down to pitifully! Doesn't matter if Spider-Man's punches gave her blurry vision, so what if she can't breathe cause all the air in her lungs were knocked out cause of Spider-Man's strikes, Neo would not go down like some burnable fodder. Her blood was boiling and her rage was building at how she was being so easily beaten without her even putting much of a fight!

Just when gravity had a hold on her, Neo willed her semblance to activate one more time to make an illusion of herself still falling. Just when Neo was about to land on her feet, as soon as her foot touched the ground, she felt something sticky latch on to her shoe that stopped her from moving.

"!?" It was a thick glob of webbing! How were there webs on the floor? It made no sense at how Spider-Man was able to find her so easily when no huntsmen she ever came across was this close!

That small window of surprise was her downfall as Spider-Man kicked her in the chest rather than a punch to the face.

"!" If Neo was able to talk, she would scream in pain at how that kick broke a some of her ribs. Giving up on her usual tricks, Neo gritted her teeth, pushed her body past the kick, closed the space between her and Spider-Man, and threw a closed punch at his chin!

Neo's punch connected and again she felt like screaming in pain as she reeled back her now broken hand. Aura flashing like a strobe light, Spider-Man noticed this and started to hit her faster and faster with Neo still trying to put up a fight.

'Stay down!' He silently begged as he caught her only working hand, latched on with his iron grip, and lashed out with a fist to her chin. 'You're already hurt enough stop! Please!'

Not yet finished, Neo tried to use her free leg to strike Spider-Man with a kick only for him to block it with his other hand, grabbed it so she can't use it, and performed a high kick that struck Neo's chin.

That seemed to finally put her down as her body couldn't hold her up and crumbled on the floor. As the fight was now over, Spider-Man reached into Neo's pockets and took back his friend's phone who seemed to also be done fighting his opponent.

"Not sure how long he'll be stuck in ice, but I swear I saw some sand leave this place." Rito's busted lips curved to show a smile. "Either way, we took care of Roman's goons and you got my phone back. All what's left is taking care of Roman."

"Speaking about Roman." Looking past Rito's head, Spider-Man can see Roman was finally able to pull the webbing from his eyes off and in the process caused his skin to turn red including the lost some of his hair.

Rubbing his eyes, Roman opened them and could see Sandman was now an ugly ice sculpture and Neo passed out next to the feet of Spider-Man.

Not wasting time by shouting his anger at the web head, Roman just pointed his cane, pressed the trigger built under the hook, and unleashed a large dust round at the hero.

"Move!" The two heroes dodged the attack that impacted the wall behind them and left a large hole. "Forgot that thing could do that. It seems way stronger the last time I saw it too!"

"That's cause Roman's weapon is made out of vibranium!" Rito explained to his friend.

"Of course, it's made of that stuff! Of course, he would get one, does that mean I have to worry about this sort of thing in the future?" Spider-Man said in a deadpan tone. As the two backed away from the attack, Roman used that chance to check Neo was ok and when he discovered she was still breathing the veteran criminal took off his bowler hat and placed it on top of Neo's chest for safe keeping. "He's getting ready, Rito. Keep your guard up!"

"Ok, you two." Roman had a stone-cold glare at the two heroes. The curved part of his cane was aimed at Neo's broken umbrella, shot out, hooked itself on to the upper half of the parasol, reeled itself back, and now Roman was wielding his cane and Neo's bladed umbrella. "I think it's time I show you why no one messes with Roman Torchwick or his underlings!"

"…" Both superheroes looked at each other, then at Roman, and spoke at the same time. "Except Cinder."

A large fire ball was Roman's response and both Spider-Men evaded the attack and started to move. Jaune chose the fire web balls at Roman to preoccupy his focus as Rito made a mad dash at Roman. Showing he was good with a blade, Roman slashed at the web projectiles with Neo's blade and fired several rounds at Rito to keep him from getting to close.

Getting them farther away, Roman moved away from Neo to make sure she wouldn't get in the crossfire and brandished his second weapon when Rito was the one bombarding him with more webbing.

Years of fighting gave Roman a good sense of instinct as he twisting his body to the right and was rewarded by his decision by having Spider-Man miss his sneak attack on Roman.

"Gla-hmpf!" As Spider-Man passed Roman, he soon felt a sharp tug coming around his neck and took only a moment to figure out that Roman hooked his cane on his hoodie.

'I knew one day my hoodie would be my down fall! How the heck does Ruby pull it off though?! She wears a freakin cloak for crying out loud!'

Roman pulled Spider-Man back and was getting ready to stab the hero only to have Spider-Man counter by raising his leg high enough to hit Roman's head.

"Grah!" The strike made Roman lose his balance giving Spider-Man enough wiggle room to get himself free. Spider-Man then performed a leg sweep that tripped Roman and making him land on his back exposing him to an attack.

'Not yet!' Roman screamed inside his head. "Don't you dare mock me!" Pointing his cane above him, Roman fired at the roof that sent large debris falling from above.

Both moving in opposite directions when a large piece of the roof was about to fall on the two. Roman wasn't out of the woods just yet as Rito entered the fight and tackled Roman into the ground. Rito was just far enough to see what had happened and when he saw Roman, Rito made no hesitation to go after him. As they landed, the orange haired teen made sure to pin Roman's arms underneath his legs, so it would be impossible for Roman to try and get up.

"Now, Roman, tell me if this hurts!"

Rito dropped his fist down at Roman's face, but missed as the thief moved his head just in the nick of time. As the punch landed onto the ground that left a small dent, Roman's eyes went wide at how this kid was still able to put out such force when he looked like he was ready to pass out.

Trying to punch Roman again, Rito got ready for another attack only to feel his spider sense warning him of danger about to befall him. Following his danger sense, Rito jumped off of Roman and avoided being choked by a vibranium laced wire from Roman's weapon.

Now free, Roman pushed himself up from the ground and swung Melodic Cudgel as a flail at the spiky haired vigilante. With the hook at the end of the wire made of the indestructible metal it caused large damage to anything it hit including the walls, floor, objects stacked around them, and even some of the support beans were no exception to the rampage Roman made.

'The flail isn't the only problem for me though.' Rito monologued in his head, dodging and weaving past the deadly ball and chain like weapon and running towards Roman. Just when he was within punching reach, the back of Rito's skull called to him that danger was about to happen and soon reacted by dodging a swipe from Roman's other hand that held Neo's Hush to deter him from getting closer. 'Roman's got mid-range to close range weapons handled well enough to keep me and Jaune away from him. I can see why people consider him dangerous, but too bad for him-'

Roman saw Rito trying to close the gap between them, so when he tried to swing his cane to have the wire and hook hit Rito, Roman felt a strong resistance stopping his attack.

"Spider-Man!" Roman shouted in anger as his attack was stopped by his most hated adversary who was using his super strength to hold on to Roman's vibranium whip and his adhesive skin to anchor himself in one spot.

"Go, Rito!" He didn't have to shout any more words to push Rito forward as the orange haired teen charged at Roman with no fear.

Roman dropped his cane and decided to use both hands for Hush to add more force behind a thrust attack. Just when the tip of the sharp blade was centimeters away from impaling Rito in the eye, the young hero showed spectacular reflexes and reaction speed by catching it with both hands, snapping it with his super strength, twisting his body while at the same time lowering himself to be under Roman's arms, and delivering an elbow blow underneath Roman's diaphragm.

"Buah!" Air left Roman's mouth and his eyes rolled into the back of his head making him drop what's left of Hush. Roman was about to fall forward, but Rito wasn't done yet as he grabbed Roman's right arm and performed a perfect shoulder throw strong enough to wake Roman up after he got the wind knocked out of him.

"Augh!" A groan was the only noise Roman could make as his head was spinning and his body crying from so much abuse. As his eyes were blinking to get a clear view of things, Roman's sight was then greeted by both Spider-Man and Rito staring down.

"…Ngh...!" They expected to see Roman shout in protest of his defeat or try another dirty trick, but to their surprise Roman let out a defeated sigh and rested his head on the floor.

"To hell with it. You got me, curse you Spider-Man and your sidekick too." Roman said in a droll tone. "Knew this plan was going to fail. Damn that woman and her friends too."

That last part Roman said could have been just him talking to himself or was a way to throw the two heroes off track. Regardless of the matter, Spider-Man brought up Roman and helped him back on his feet.

"This time, Roman, I'm going to personally bring you to the police, even if they try and arrest me too. Then, you're going to give me and the authorities answers to who's really responsible for all this mayhem."

"Sure, fine, whatever you say." Roman acted like he didn't just get his rear handed to him that made Spider-Man angry at Roman's attitude. "Just make sure I get a room by the pool. For Neo, just make sure she has a fridge that has ice cream and she'll behave."

With Roman and Spider-Man talking, Rito felt that his presence was not needed and focused his priorities to checking his D-dial. Flipping the phone, Rito was relieved that there was no noticeable damaged to the device.

'For a moment I thought she might have pressed something that might have made it worse, but it looks fine for now.' His state of calm was cut short when the phone started to ring! 'What?! It's ringing!? How- you know what, I'm not even going to question this! Thank you, Deus Ex Machina!'

Pressing the 'call' button, Rito heard a familiar voice he thought e would never hear again coming from the other side of the call.

"Rito… are… there!?" The voice was choppy, but Rito can tell it was her! "Don't… up! I'm…. portal to you-"

"Lala!" He called out her name. "I fine and I want to tell you-" Static was pulsating out of the phone and Rito instinctively dropped the device that soon glowed a bright light!

"Woah- Augh!" Spider-Man landed on his stomach and quickly went back on his feet with hands raised in front of him. "What the heck did I just go through?"

'Did I just see the light? This doesn't look like the pearly gates.'

It happened so fast that he didn't even react in time when his spider sense screamed at him to run away from something. Spider-Man was just about to bound Roman in webs, then heard Rito yell in surprise from something, his sight was fully white, and now he was somewhere else!

"Rito did say that was how he got to my world." Saying that outloud made Spider-Man pause at the implications. "If so, then I'm in his world! Is there a window nearby?"

There was indeed a window near him, actually all around him were windows that showed him Rito's world.

"My god…" The sight he was seeing was something straight out of his sci-fi movies he watched with his family. Spider-Man was in some tall tower as his view showed the vast amount of land that displayed Rito's country.

He could see tiny specks of people walking about their day without a care in the world going to places he never heard of before. Trains, cars, and even some planes that were flying through the sky looks so much like his own in his world, but different at the same time. Most breathing taking of all was how the sun was already going down and the city soon erupted in lights showing the city night coming to life, including the large tower Spider-Man was in making it look like he was seeing a sea of stars!

"Is this Japan?" Spider-Man, for just a short moment, forgot what he was doing and just marveled at the fact he was now in a different world. "It's so beautiful up here."

'I'm the first man from Remnant to be in a whole different universe.' Spider-Man can only imagine what type of expression Iron Man would make when he tells him. 'Eat your heart out, Whitley.'

Looking at the amazing sight before him, Spider-Man was not completely distracted thanks to his spider sense alerting him of incoming danger.

Said danger was non other but Roman Torchwick, holding a stanchion above his head getting ready to bash the back of Spider-Man's head. Thinking this was his moment to attack, Roman put all his strength into his strike only to be stopped mid swing by Rito who shot a web line at the stanchion.

Twisting around, Spider-Man to punched Roman in the face making him drop the stanchion, took a couple of steps back, and felt a hand on his shoulder.

"Welcome to earth!" Shouted Rito and with a strong upper cut to Roman's chin the villain was sent into the air and landed back on the floor.

Aura flared around Roman then soon shattered causing Roman to pass out on the floor. Rito, now seeing things were finally over, dropped his hands on his knees and relaxed his posture to allow his body to finally relax after so much abuse it took today.

"I'm home." Even when he was feeling like crap after the ordeal he's been though, Rito couldn't help but smile. "I'm finally home. Jaune, thank you for the help."

"…." The teen from Remnant did answer only stared out in the foreign world of earth in awe.

Rito understanding what Jaune was going through, Rito walked next to the fellow spider hero and they both just stared out the large window to see life from another world pass them by.

"Hey, Rito. Can I ask where are we specifically?" He asked but never tore his eyes away from looking below him.

"We're in Tokyo, but the place we're in right now is called Tokyo Sky Tree." Rito was glad that if there was a slim chance for Jaune to ever go to his world it would be this place above all.

"Sky tree, I like the sound of that." The two stayed in relative silence when Jaune broke it by speaking again. "Hey, Rito. How am I going to get back home?"

"A friend of mine should be around here since she was the one who caused that flash of light that teleported us here."

"That great to know. And Roman, how will I deal with that when I take him back to Remnant? I'm sure he already saw too much of what happened."

"Erasing Roman's memories about what happened? Funny you'd say that, cause my friend can easily handle that issue far better than interdimensional travel." Rito chuckled at Jaune who finally looked away from the window and at the spiky haired spider hero. "You'll be back on your dimension soon. I'll come too and tell Aunt May some fabricated story of going back home. I don't want her to have a heart attack if she only sees you after what happened today."

"Really, you'll be able to get me back home quickly? Just who is your friend?" Jaune asked curiously.

"The smartest one there is."

Wow, this was by far the longest chapter I ever written and is probably going to be some time before I write a massive chapter like this one. I thought about breaking it in half, but I already made so many broken promises about finishing this arc that I just decided to keep writing and finish it for this chapter.

Don't worry, Jaune will be back in Vale in the next chapter. I just finished of this way to just give a happy end to Rito's part in the arc.

Like I said before from previous A/N, this crossover was possible cause another Fanfic writer requested it due to reasons and I also wanted to at least try my hand in seeing how good it can be. Though there were some factors that would cause many of my readers to drop this fic and one of them is how I rushed the pacing to allow a crossover arc to happen so soon.

My pacing was rushed, grammatical error, too many Marvel characters that don't 'crossover' with RWBY characters, and also doing this Breach arc with a Spider-Man (Rito) that nobody knows which anime he is from had some mixed reviews.

I try to re-read my chapters before I send it to my Beta, who I'm very thankful for, to fix any errors I can spot to make my chapters understandable. I go over many different scenarios on how I should play this out and when I do make up my mind on how it should be like, I then delete some chunks of my written chapters and re-work it

All in all, I would say that I did my best and I'm glad I did this work. It shows what I truly lack and I need to make sure the next chapter is better. I know I can't please every reader and their standards and I can understand their point of view since I also have my type of stories.

I also know that there will be a lot of questions about what happened in this chapter and I will answer them…. In the next chapter! Seriously, I procrastinated for a couple of months and after this chapter gets published, I will post the next chapter with some answers or I can answer anyone's question if they PM me.

Sadly, I apologize to tell ya'll this, but this chapter does not have an Omake, however I will try an Omake in the next chapter. Thank you all who stuck to this story and I hope you guys enjoy the next one.
