A/N: After this chapter, I will make some time skips (1~2 weeks each time) I can't write a chapter for each day of the four months.

You could say that this is the end of the first arc. I will put my thoughts that went into this first arc at the end of the chapter.

Jaune was tired, last night was the first time he used every drop of aura he had in his body. Aura exhaustion didn't feel good at all, but after a quick search, he found out that his late 'awakening' of his aura was benefiting this in some ways.

He would feel much worse if he had unlocked earlier, right now, Jaune's aura was still somewhat foreign to his body, so it didn't depend on it too much.

But that wasn't the only reason as to why he was tired. He also pushed himself when he trained yesterday, his muscles were sore, especially his shoulder, arm, and legs. Those were, of course, because he swung his sword too much and run away much more.

The worst wasn't his body, it was his mind.

Being able to stand the pain of being clawed by Beowolfs wasn't something Jaune could just brush of; in fact, he would still get chills when he remembered last night. Still, he could also feel his heart beating faster, as he managed to defeat three Beowolfs at the same time.

Besides, he had to continue his image training after finishing his training with his semblance. His mind would just wander into the distance, and he would just space out before he would try again. He felt that most of the time he spent image training was just staring at the night.

But something finally snapped him out of the mental exhaustion he still felt from yesterday.

He was reading the book about Aura Physique on the bar, but this made him stand up from his seat, but he kept reading.

'People who unlock their auras could take weeks for the user to successfully move them unless a semblance is involved somehow.'

Somehow despite having not focused on his aura as he did on his study or training, it was arguably what he advanced the most. His first thought was that it was because of the girl that unlocked his aura, she somehow moved his aura against his will.

But he instantly removed that conclusion. The book explained that the user needed to connect with their aura, and he wasn't the one moving the aura in his body when the girl activated her semblance.

So that left the self-evident answer- his semblance.

Jaune remembered the first semblance he used, the one he used to improve his sleep quality. How much trouble he was having before he went to sleep to heal his wounds, how no matter what he did, it wouldn't budge, but it did after he slept.

His semblance forced the connection between his aura and himself. It moved it the way it needed because it was a 'passive' semblance, meaning the user had little to no control over its activation.

He remembered one of the phrases at the beginning of the book.

'One's semblance could have no impact on the formation of the Aura Physique, or it could bolster it immensely depending on the nature of one's semblance.'

Only now, he started to comprehend that User-based semblances could quickly accelerate one's learning over a stage of the Aura Physique.

For example, one that bolstered the user's muscles would make Stage II progress faster. They only needed to practice one's semblance for an extended amount of time, and eventually, they would complete Stage II.

That also meant that they would kill two birds with one stone, they would practice their semblance and progress their Aura Physique simultaneously.

He had completely glossed over that, didn't that mean that with his semblance, he could choose a semblance that would each make the progress of each Stage go faster?

Jaune was ecstatic; finally, his semblance's most significant quality had shown it's itself, it's sheer versatility. His semblance had the potential to be anything. Of course, there would be situations where it would go in his favor, despite his inability to specialize.

He scoured through the book. Trying to find the type of semblance that would help through the seven stages.

Finally, he found it, the 'body transfiguration' semblance. There was the type that would change one's body into something else entirely. For example, where their bodies became an element like fire or water or could be a plant, the possibilities were endless.

These people were considered lucky, as their semblance forced their aura on every inch of their bodies going into every cell and transforming into something else. This meant that they had the potential to achieve the Aura Physique by just practicing their semblance.

But so far, that had been impossible, there were no records of people doing such a feat. Still, their advantage prevailed. They would have a head-start on every Stage they progressed. They could divide their attention to practice their semblance and even improve their Aura Physiques.

Maybe he could use it as well. He activated his semblance and put on a filter, [Filter: Show: Body Transfiguration].

[Spatial Physiology (Unavailable)]

[Elemental Physiology (Unavailable)]

[Fire Physiology (Unavailable)]

[Water Physiology(Unavailable)]

[Lightning Physiology(Unavailable)]

Every single one on the list wasn't something he could use.

But he already expected something like that, each of them looked incredibly strong. Even the ones like [Paper Physiology], being able to divide your body into paper, still proved useful against physical attacks and would help run away.

But Jaune soon realized that he was looking at this from the wrong perspective. He didn't need a semblance for all seven stages of the Aura Physique. He just needed to choose a semblance that would help him through the Stage he was in.

That would be more efficient in advancing in the stages because they specialized in whatever system of the body the Aura Physique would strengthen, rather than the entire body.

But that also caused a problem, he wouldn't benefit from mastering a semblance beyond advancing a stage.

Suddenly, he thought if mastering a semblance was a way for advancing the Aura Physique, Why wouldn't they discover it earlier?

Maybe he was getting ahead of himself, and there was more to it.

Suddenly, Jaune felt movement beside him and saw Azure snatch the book by its side and look at its front page.

Azure looked at it thoughtfully for a second and then said, "Aura Physique, huh." She then looked at Jaune and said, "So how far along are you?"

He blanked a bit a that and felt a bit awkward, he had thought that question was only aimed towards pregnant women.

After a moment, he snapped out of it and said hesitantly, "I can only move my aura…"

She shook her head and said disappointedly, "What a shame, could have used a pack mule."

Jaune then asked, "How do you know about Aura Physique?"

Azure glanced at him, "Everyone's curious at one point, but I took one look at the training at combat school and decided that it wasn't for me."

She continued as she gave him back the book, "So I can take it that nobody knew about Aura Physique were you are from?"

Jaune shook his head and laid his elbows on the table, "I don't know, I'm pretty sure they know about it, but I never heard of it, Aura was never talked much on my village."

Azure seemed to get it, "Your village was pretty peaceful, right?"

Jaune nodded, and she continued, "Yeah, Aura paints a pretty big target on your back for Grimm, kind of makes sense that they wouldn't talk about it."

Suddenly he remembered something about his history textbook, so he asked Azure, "So have you ever seen a Grimm in person?"

Azure seemed surprised at the question, but she quickly answered, "Nope, just in videos, games, movies, and stuff."

Jaune was already expecting that answer, but he was still surprised about it, "Wow. That's kind of amazing."

Jaune read about the barrier around the city and the system against aerial Grimm in his textbook.

Some buoys floated high in the sky surrounded by the use of very-high quality gravity Dust that would take decades to degrade.

They each had a sensor that would project a barrier if Grimm approached. They also had weapons to deal with aerial Grimm that would mindlessly charge at the largest concentration of negative feelings.

Azure then asked as he snapped out of his thoughts, "So, you have seen a lot of Grimm?"

Jaune was hesitant as he said, "I don't know if a lot, maybe one every few weeks?"

Azure said, surprised, "That's a lot to me. So how many have you seen up-close?"

Jaune said as he looked away and scratched his cheek, he knew his illusions didn't count, so he said, "Well, none, they were all killed long before they reached the village."

Azure didn't say anything. After a moment a client entered the diner, he knew he had to get back to work, so he stood up and put his book in his apron before going to greet the customer.

Azure stopped him as he went to the customer, "Jaune, remember our talk yesterday?"

Jaune nodded a bit hesitantly as he didn't want Azure's help, but she continued, "People say more with their bodies than with their mouths."

He nodded as he replied, "Okay, I'll keep that in mind."

Jaune had just finished reading the first half of Aura Physique. It didn't talk about the stages of Aura Physique, but what made it possible and how it interacted with semblances.

He laid on his desk as he wrote in his notebook the essential points of the book. There were three about Aura: Feelings, Intent, and Growth.

There was a reason why aura was considered the manifestation of one's soul. It was directly linked to the user's feelings. If one was at death's door but hadn't given up, his aura's qualities would strengthen, but they would also weaken if they lacked motivation or were lost in despair.

These could also be applied in battle. An obvious example was that if one was attacked by surprise, the attack would damage the user more because they, and by their extension, their aura, would be prepared. Their aura would 'tighten' and brace itself for the blow.

The difference would vary with the individual, but it wouldn't be more than five percent extra damage, but in a close battle, that would be huge.

But what was most important to Jaune was those feelings could accelerate the process of his aura molding. If the user had strong feelings when he molded his aura, it would 'linger' for longer, and the effect would be better because it stayed more time.

This also explained how soldiers became so strong in a short time during The Great War. The level of trauma those soldiers experience would help them progress faster through the stages.

This was also a reason why people unlocked the aura's of children when they reached puberty, because of their hormones, their feelings would have outbursts. They would help them mold advance through the stages.

Jaune had created for a semblance because of this.

[One with yourself: Skin]

[When the user activates this semblance all aura is pushed outwards until it reaches the skin. The user feels an increasing amount of pain, the more time the semblance is activated.]

[Price: Temporarily lose 5% of aura reserves for 24 hours. 1% per minute activated.]

[User already has a semblance in use.]

Jaune had tried using another feeling other than pain, but his semblance wouldn't let him, without making the semblance [Unavailable]. He guessed he needed to advance on some skill tree to adjust the semblance, and he didn't have the time to do that.

It would also proceed to [One with yourself: Muscles] when he mastered Stage I of the Aura Physique.

But there was a downside to this semblance, besides the obvious pain. It was that it would become less effective over time.

It was because his pain threshold would rise and also because when one only feels one emotion, they would start feeling numb to it. The book also said that it was most effective when multiple emotions crashed and merged that it would have a better effect.

But Jaune guessed pain would be enough for him to get to Stage II because that was the goal before the four-month deadline.

Jaune then continued through his list.

Then there was the intent; this was why the Aura Physique wasn't discovered earlier. They didn't have the intention of forcing their body to become one with aura, to the people of the past, they were completely separate.

It was also because of this that he would need to command his semblance, [Shadow Fighting V.2], to activate when his aura reached his brain.

This also applied to other things, like strengthening his muscles. Before he reached Stage II, he could pump his aura full of aura and strengthen his muscles to make him faster and stronger.

Still, it wasn't enough to cover his muscles in aura, he also needed the intent to use that aura, or else it would just sit in his flesh.

This technique also had problems, first of all, he needed to concentrate on his aura, and he was sure he couldn't do that on a battle, he took too long to move his aura.

This technique would be useless when he reached Stage II because it would be far more efficient. It would use less energy, required almost no concentration, and would make him stronger than the alternative.

In a way practicing this was short term versus long term. The results would come sooner, but it wouldn't upgrade to a better stage as the Aura Physique did.

But that didn't mean he wouldn't practice with it a little, just enough to make sure he could use it momentarily, like a quick burst of speed, or increased strength in his swing.

Jaune shook his head as he focused on the last topic.

The qualities of one's aura weren't static. They would change as people experienced more and would grow as they did. But there were also cases where people who were traumatized by one event may reflect that on their aura and would make them weaker and stronger, it would change.

One case could be that they were traumatized by fire because they were burnt or lost someone they loved or may have even caused it.

That could cause their aura to change to become weaker towards heat. Still, it could also cause them to become warier, and their aura would change in the same manner, their senses would be strengthened.

They would have to work on their fear of fire and overcome their trauma. Hence, their aura could be reverted to what it once was, but that wasn't something that could be done in a day. It would take a lot of hard work and suffering. It would be no different than recovering from an injury with physical therapy.

There was also the fact that aura would also adapt if the user was weak against physical attacks. He could train and be hit more and more, and his aura would change and be more effective.

People wouldn't train to change the qualities of one's aura as it would take years or severe trauma, to accomplish. They would learn to hone their strengths and hide their weaknesses.

Jaune sighed as he thought of the qualities of his aura. He had no idea where he stood, and he wouldn't until he fought a real battle. That was also one of the reasons he needed to fight Grimm, illusions had flaws when it came to actual combat.

He couldn't account for some of the factors that happened in a real fight, some of them were:

Would a slash of his sword be enough to cut through a beowolf?

Would he stumble when a beowolf clawed him?

Would he hesitate when he faced a real beowolf?

He didn't know, and his semblance wouldn't help him with that until he unlocked [Nightmare of Eternal Battles].

That was why Jaune needed to prepare, not just with illusions, he also needed to take precautions, he would find ways to make a few traps where he could retreat to if he had to run away.

He wouldn't go too far outside the walls, but he still needed to be careful. One wrong move and he could die, and unlike them, Grimm wouldn't show mercy.

He already knew how to make a few traps, but they were all for small animals, but maybe he could modify them with dust to be more deadly.

With that thought, he took out his textbook about dust and hoped it would help him plan his future traps.

Jaune was once again facing three newborn Beowolfs. They rushed at him like they always did, straight towards him with no consideration for anything else.

Jaune was tired, he didn't know how long he had been training, but the feeling of blood pumping in his veins and his grip on Crocea Mors was overshadowing his sharp breaths.

Still, he rushed towards the left side as he had done many times, making the Beowolfs reach him one after the other. Still, he was somewhat prepared.

He sidestepped the first Beowolf. It rushed past him. He made a lunge with Crocea Mors to the second Beowolf before it had the opportunity to attack him, and it dissipated.

Before he could cheer, as it was the first time it had gone so smoothly, the third Beowolf clawed at him. Jaune barely managed to lean back, and he could trace the claws as they swept the air across his face.

Jaune managed to do a half-assed swing from his lung position towards the Beowolf, and it was cut down. But the instant it started to dissipate, he felt the first Beowolf's claws digging his back.

Jaune let out a scream of pain as he tried to escape it by going forward, but he didn't fall, and he didn't lose his grip on his sword, he planted his foot and dug it into the ground and forced his body to move forward.

He was soon in a running position, but he could hear a growl behind his head and was approaching fast. He knew he had no time to turn around, and he couldn't reach behind him with his sword.

His brain thought of an idea, and his body immediately acted on it. He switched his grip on his sword to an inverted one, planted his feet on the ground, and swung sideways as he turned.

Jaune felt pain in his entire side, but it wasn't the usual one that dug inside him. This one shook him, and he felt pressure on his whole right side. He knew this meant that the Beowolf crushed into him, and he could soon see his entire vision clouded by black smoke.

After a moment, it cleared, and his thoughts cleared. The Beowolf was gone, and he suddenly felt pain besides the one on his back. He deactivated his semblance, and the pain instead of disappearing, become more evident.

He rapidly took a look at the source of his pain, his right forearm, near his wrist, slowly blood dripped from the wound. The pain got worse as he clutched the injury in a moment of panic.

Jaune knew he needed to calm down, he had aura now, the wound was no big deal.

He took a couple of breaths and focused on his aura and did the same thing he did with his semblance, but instead of the spike going to his brain, it went towards his right forearm. Jaune noticed it was harder than moving it to his brain, but he didn't dwell on it

After a moment, the spike started to feed aura to his wound, and slowly, the pain became an ache.

Suddenly the ball of aura within his abdomen disappeared. When the last dregs of aura went into his wound, a feeling of exhaustion assaulted him. It felt as if he couldn't move a muscle anymore, and his whole body felt more exhausted than before.

Jaune then wiped the blood on his wound that was covering it. The injury wasn't healed, but it did reduce in size; it went from the size of a finger to a nail. The rest of the wound was just pink skin. This also made the pain more tolerable.

Jaune then reflected on his last fight, and he came to one conclusion. He would have been dead if the Beowolf were real.

Although he managed to sidestepped and kill the first Beowolf, he wouldn't have managed to kill the third Beowolf with a swing like that. He didn't have any momentum, it just passed through the Beowolf.

If they actually had weight, it would have left him with a Beowolf in his front and back, plus if he was unlucky, with his only weapon dug in the side of the Beowolf.

So he would be out of position and without a weapon. Even if he managed to retrieve his weapon, the Beowolfs were at a range where his sword was at a disadvantage because they were too close. He didn't have range and time to swing.

Even if he killed the third Beowolf by some miracle, he was lucky, that improvised swing was dangerous for himself. He had no idea what he was doing, and that was only proved by the blood that stained his forearm, hand, and sword.

Jaune knew he somehow managed to strike the Beowolf, but if he crashed into him, he had no idea what would have happened if he was out on the forest.

He could have gotten knocked out and then killed by a passing Grimm. Killed by his sword if it was sent flying when the Beowolf knocked into him.

Jaune took deep breaths, trying to clear away his thoughts, but the blood on his sword was nagging him.

He swiped his sword sideways, trying to clear the blood of it, most of it was sent flying, but some of it was still on the edge of the sword. He then wiped it off the grass, and it was finally somewhat clean, and he did the same with his blood-stained hands. He then sheathed his sword.

After a moment, he started the second ritual that he needed to do when he stopped training.

He placed his right hand over his heart, and he could feel it thumping against his chest, and as he focused, that feeling only got louder. He started feeling how the blood was pumping through his body, how it spread to each of his limbs. Slowly he became one with the rhythm of his heart.

After some time, his labored breath from training began calming down. However, the exhaustion on his body became more apparent, now that the adrenaline was gone.

Jaune then started his image training, but his exhaustion kept distracting him,

Jaune woke up late compared to his routine, but he wasn't worried, today was his day off from work.

As his muscles still sore from the day before, he decided to stretch himself to alleviate the soreness. As he curved his back, he could feel a few pops come from his body.

After a few moments, he noticed it was the time of day when he picked his semblance, and as his body was still sore, he decided to pick [One with yourself: Skin]. He would try and activate it as many times and as long as possible today.

[One with yourself: Skin]

[When the user activates this semblance all aura is pushed outwards until it reaches the skin. The user feels an increasing amount of pain, the more time the semblance is enabled.]

[Price: Temporarily lose 5% of aura reserves for 24 hours. 1% per minute activated.]

[Time Left: 23:59]

Jaune immediately focused on his aura core that resided on his abdomen. He then focused and projected his intent to activate his semblance.

The movement of his aura could only be considered violent. It expanded as if it was an explosion, and in no time, it reached his skin.

He had braced himself for the pain, but he could only feel a bit of an ache. He then decided to grab his dust textbook once again. He had no problem keeping it active, as it worked the same way as [Shadow Fighting V.2]. It didn't seem to deactivate until he willed it to.

It wasn't until fifteen minutes later that the pain became too much, and he couldn't focus on what he was reading anymore. He had stood up from his desk and started pacing, trying to feel anything but stabbing pain across his entire skin.

Two minutes later, he realized as he checked his scroll,'It wasn't working.' His breathing was out of sync, he had started to feel cold sweat across his body, and now his onesie stuck to his skin. He then stopped pacing, stood in place, and only focused on getting his breathing under control.

He managed only three more minutes before the pain was overwhelming him again. Jaune couldn't believe only three minutes passed, it seemed like time passed with a snail's pace.

Jaune couldn't believe he only managed twenty minutes. He had wanted to achieve at least fifty minutes, almost half of what his aura reserves would permit without drying out. That was if he didn't count for his aura regeneration, that he had no way to account for.

Jaune could only be angry at himself for not being strong enough, but he decided he would hang on for at least five more minutes.

It wasn't long before his emotions dialed down that he realized that he wouldn't last, he realized he needed something else to focus on. He scanned the room like a predator, searching for his prey.

It didn't take long for him to catch one, Crocea Mors. Jaune rushed immediately towards it, grabbed it with his left hand and placed his right hand on the hilt, and tried diverting his attention to his sword as he did before training.

He entirely focused on Crocea Mors, on its weight, on the cold feeling that spread across his hand and the roughness of its hilt.

He spread his senses, trying to feel the pommel and the edge o the sword, but the pain was making it hard to focus on anything but the sensations on his hand.

Jaune then decided to stop, he was shaking, he could feel the blood in his mouth from biting his cheek, an action he didn't realize he did until now, and his vision was swimming.

Slowly the pain faded away. But it felt like it was only an inch away from happening again. He checked the time. He left his sword leaning against his desk and grabbed his scroll only to immediately throw it away towards his bed and cursed.

He only managed twenty-four minutes.

Jaune was disappointed in himself.

He knew he didn't have any way to predict how long he would have been able to last. He knew he could just activate his semblance and try again, but he believed he could do better.

Besides, he realized the importance of aura because of last night. If he wanted to go outside the walls, he needed to be able to cloak himself in aura to negate the damage Grimm may cause him.

In a way, it was the ultimate insurance, this way, one wrong move wouldn't be enough to kill him. He'd be able to lift himself up and try again.

Jaune just sighed and want went to grab a bottle of water before he tried again, but he caught a glimpse of a paper sliding beneath his front door.

He went over there and picked it up and gave it a quick read. He didn't know what he was reading until he reached a particular sentence.

'Due to too numerous complains, the tenant may no longer use the backyard for his recreational activities.'

Jaune opened the door, and he could see the manager of the building at the end of the hall. He wanted nothing more than to rush over there and discuss this with him.

He knew he had no other place to train, it wasn't like he could go to the park and swing his sword around, the police would come in no time.

Jaune also couldn't afford a gym specialized for Aura Powered Individuals; although they had arenas and specialized equipment, he couldn't afford it.

But Jaune knew he couldn't rush towards the manager and hope to convince him, because he remembered the last time he went unprepared towards a situation like this.

An image of the boss of the club appeared in his mind the moment the manager disappeared from his view. No, he would never go unprepared ever again.

He needed to plan, with that thought he stepped in his room and looked for the contract he signed.

Jaune knocked on the office of the building manager, he was ready, showered, and was holding his contract and the notice. After a moment a man in a grey shirt and jeans with black-haired opened the door.

Jaune saw the man stiffen when he looked at him, and he took his chance to introduce himself, "Hi, I am Jaune Arc. You are the manager, right?"

The manager seemed to snap out of it and replied, "Yeah, how can I help you?"

He fished out the notice and showed it to the manager and said, "I wanted to talk about this notice."

The man just sighed and went into his office and said, "Come in."

He walked and looked at the office, there wasn't much, but it seemed comfortable, it even had air conditioning. The manager sat behind a desk and said, "Have a seat."

Jaune did, and after a moment of silence, he got to the point as he said, "You can't ban me from using the backyard."

The manager certainly didn't expect him to put it that bluntly but he replied in an even voice that had too much practice in it, "Yes I can."

Jaune then flipped the contract and showed him a particular sentence and replied, "Not without warning."

The man leaned forward to read the sentence, and he seemed to give up on the legal side of things as he said, "That's not the point, you can't go around swinging your sword in the backyard, people are getting scared."

Jaune felt himself shrinking in his seat as he was reprimanded, he knew the manager was right. Still, he couldn't practice anywhere else, so he bit back his guilt and said, "The contract also says that the backyard could be used for combat training."

He was shocked when he read that. It seemed that they modified the contract given to the students that attended the combat school and hadn't adjusted it for the people who would rent it during summer.

The manager looked at the sentence that stated that "Again, not the point, the contract also says you could be kicked out with enough complaints."

Jaune then said, "But it is the point, the contract permits me to train, and I only do so at night. When nobody is in the backyard. And I am being denied that right."

He saw the manager open his mouth to speak again, but Jaune interrupted, "Look, I just want a place to train as I was promised, it doesn't have to be in the backyard."

The manager seemed to get what he was pointing at, "You want to train at the school."

Jaune nodded, and he replied, "Yeah, it's summer, and there aren't any classes, so there shouldn't be anybody around, I get a place to train, and people won't complain. We both get what we want."

The manager looked impassively at him and, after a moment, said, "You do realize I can just say no, right?"

Jaune looked a bit stunned at that. The manager continued, "If I say no, and you continue training, I would just follow what the contract says and issue a warning, and if you still continue, I would just have to kick you out of the dorms."

Jaune knew that the manager was right, but he couldn't give up, "But I don't have anywhere else to train."

The manager said with a dark tone, "That's not training, it's just self-torture."

Jaune was getting frustrated and said as he clenched his fists and stood up, "It's what I have to do!"

The manager didn't seem to react, and after a moment, he asked, "You are working as well, right?"

Jaune replied with even more frustration in his voice, "Yeah, so what?"

The manager shook his head and replied, "Jaune, you have given me so much trouble this week, do you know how many people complained?

Jaune felt his frustration go down and only felt embarrassment.

However, the manager continued, "Despite being summer vacation and still having some work to do. I still took this job because it was easy money that only required me to sit on my ass."

The manager didn't stop as he stood up, but Jaune could only keep his head down, but he still heard him talk, "But I am a teacher, and I can't turn away a kid trying to learn."

Jaune could only stare blankly at the teacher and said, "You'll help me?"

The manager nodded and said, "I'll see what I can do."

Jaune could only say gratefully, "Thank you."

The teacher said as he scratched his head with embarrassment in his face, "I wish I could help you more, but I don't even have my aura unlocked, if you ever need help on math I could help you."

Jaune said with a smile, "That's one of the few things I am confident in."

The teacher said, "Well, then, I'll find you when I sort things out."

Jaune took his cue to leave and said as he walked to the door, "Okay, and thanks again."

The manager said goodbye and said, "Its what I do as a teacher."

Jaune could only feel lucky that he got an understanding person that was willing to help him despite no obligation to do so. He then went to his room and activated his semblance once again. Even then he felt annoyed that he needed someone else's help once again.

A/N: I will write my thoughts at the end of each arc, so you guys know what to expect and tell me what I did right and wrong.

Arc 1, 'Failure': Everything revolved around chapter one until now it's been the consequences of his failure and how it affected Jaune. This wasn't something minor, his dreams were destroyed, and he was picking up the pieces and gathering his resolve to follow his dreams.

My goals:

Character Progression: My main focus will always be character progression. I wanted a protagonist that learned to have self-respect. I want him to be proud of what he is.

This will take a while, but you could say this is a start, and I don't think I'll ever achieve this, to be honest. As for Power, I believe it should match their Growth, so he won't be 'strong' any time soon.

Time skips: I wanted to portrait what Jaune did between time skips without me telling you. These first chapters set up a routine to Jaune's life. I hate when they skip content and just say what happened, with these chapters, you had an idea of what Jaune did in between.

Environment: I also wanted to set up a situation where Jaune could learn to interact with people and read them.

Power system: Aura could be such a thorough power system, I didn't want to make it just a hp bar. I wanted to make a complex but straightforward power system, like nen in hunter x hunter.

I also think this would make teams more dynamic like someone can tank a lot of punches but doesn't do well against dust, so when they face a bandit with dust, their roles could switch, and so would their tactics. This also required more thinking in a battle as it was also a battle of information.

As for the Stages I-VII, I didn't want to make it so simple as 'pump aura in muscles, and you are strong now.' I wanted something that took time effort and complicated to learn but didn't make you instantly stronger than other people. Besides, they are a civilization with thousands of years of history, they should be more advanced with aura.

I want aura to do more things, like chakra in Naruto. It lets the user do many things, but everyone can do it with time and effort, (I mean like water walking, leaf sticking, tree walking, those basic things.)

But I didn't want it to be a diverse as chakra was, I want aura to give a solid base to huntsmen, and nothing was more fundamental than their body.

Semblances: Superpowers should be much more common, not that everyone should have them, but most huntsmen/huntresses should. But they shouldn't be invincible or give an unfair advantage. There should be other ways to match a semblance, like dust or aura.

I also wanted to implement the idea that the world was unfair, and different people have different opportunities.

In the end, I want the idea that a person is as strong as they trained and experienced with the opportunities they had.

Jaune's semblance: I want to make him use a lot of powers, but I know that would be impractical, so right now, I was going with what he needed, training. I also think that his semblance is far from 'strong.' Still, depending on the circumstances, it would definitely be a game-changer in a battle.

Worldbuilding: To tell you the truth, this wasn't a focus on this arc, and I didn't put much thought into it. (Not as much as other things- I spent days thinking about Jaune's semblance and the aura power system- but I still put hours into it.) So I am glad you guys liked it, I will definitely expand on it.
