"Shh...We're in a Library!"

EMPOV

I'm not sure why we were in the library. Alice needed some books, and she felt the need to invite me.

We were reading some parts of books. Alice was reading one that looked extremely long and boring. I was reading a huge collection of Curious George books. I just got to the one where George went to the Zoo, when Alice started whispering at me.

"Which one of these do you think Bella would like more?" She asked me

"Just get both." I said without looking up

"No," she sighed "I only want one. Pick one."

"The one with more pictures." I groaned, getting louder with annoyance

"Neither have any pictures." Alice sighed, exasperatedly "So pick one now!"

"Shh... be quiet!" A very, old, creepy librarian demanded

"Don't get your panties in a knot granny." I looked at her

"You be more respectful to your elders young man!" She snapped

"Yeah, yeah," I mumbled and went back to my book

"You should read a higher level book." Alice looked at the monkey on the cover

"Fine," I went to the kid's section and grabbed a Nancy Drew book. I sat down and started reading

"Whatever," Alice sighed and went back to her book "That'll work for now."

"What do you mean, for now?" I looked at her

"I mean," She responded "You should read something more intelligent, but I'll let you read Nancy Drew."

"What's wrong with Nancy Drew?" I demanded

"Nothing Emmett." She sighed "Please be quiet; I don't want to be kicked out."

"You think there's something wrong with Nancy Drew!" I was having a lot of fun messing with Alice. She could get really worked up sometimes, and this lirary was dead boring.

"Hey!" The librarian snapped at us "Be quiet, or I'm going to make you leave!"

"See what you did Emmett?" Alice growled "No go pick out a new, more intelligent book."

I walked to the Young Adult section; maybe that would make her happy. I grabbed some random book about middle school drama. At least I would get a good laugh.

Alice looked at my newest book. She opened her mouth as if to say something, and then snapped it shut. She would have a chance to make me get a new one later.

My book was getting Intense, with a capital I. Stacey had just told Lindsey that she wasn't invited to the party. To add to the drama, Sara went to the party and made out with Stacey's boyfriend Matt, and Sara and Stacey were BFFL's. I had to know what would happen.

I realized how stupid the whole thing was and laughed, really, really loud. My librarian came up to our table.

"What is so funny that you must disturb everyone?" She was fuming. If we were in a cartoon, a halo would have appeared above my head, Alice would have shrunk, and the librarian would have smoke coming out of her ears. That visual made me laugh more, and the lady did not like it.

"GET OUT OF THE LIBRARY! LEAVE NOW!"

I laughed a little "Shh...we're in a library!" I whispered

"GET OUT!" She screamed

Alice and I ran out, Alice glared at me.

"What?" I looked at her

"Why Emmett, why?" She hung her head

"I'm sorry Alice."

"Why?"

"Why what?" I grabbed her and shook her shoulders "Speak more words woman!"

"Why did Sara have to make out with Matt?"
