(Disclaimer: I do not claim to own Hetalia: Axis Powers in any way. They're a bit OOC in this story. Sorry about that.)
"England!" America complained loudly as he stormed around outside the other's house. He knocked again, using the large bronze knocker on the door. He didn't care if it left marks in the door's wood.
The older nation pulled open the door. "Will you stop mutilating my door, America?" The ex-colony frowned at the weird actions of the older nation.
Fine, England always acted weird, but today more than normal. England was supposed to get angry that America was there, America was too loud, that America was abusing his door. America knew England was not supposed to be calm.
"You didn't tell me yesterday was your birthday." America complained. He said it quietly now.
England looked tired. "What, America?"
"Who is it, mon cherie?"
Now was was France here.
He'd told France but not him?
"Ah, Amerique," France smiled at the American in the doorway. "What brings you here on a like like this, mon ami?"
"Why's he here?" America demanded.
"Why are you here?" England countered. He was starting to become his mood self again; it was a little consolation. "If you really must know though, I invited him. You were not invited."
America pouted. "Why not?"
England sighed and glanced away. "Don't worry about it, America."
"Why not, England?" America demanded.
"Because I didn't want you here!"
America froze. The door slammed.
"You-you bastard! I become a country because you said that it would help me! You promised that when I did England would actually start to recognize me! Now all he does is run to you!" American knew it had all been planned at that moment. Since the first time America had approached the Frenchman asking for help France had been paving the way for this.
