I haven't updated this story in like, a year and a half. Sheesh. Anyway, let's get on with the story.

"I'm Lilly," I tell him. "Well my name is actually Lillith but my friends call me Lilly. Except for the fact that I don't have any friends here, but I guess that doesn't matter because now I met you so at least I know people and I should stop talking. Why am I blabbering on like this? I don't know, I guess I just blabber on like this when I'm nervous and I meet someone who's really cute and I'll shut up now." I blush.

He smiles. "Well, were are you headed? Maybe I can help show you the way?"

"I'm going to the office. I need to pick up my scheduale. I'm new here."

Daniel smiles. "I know where the office is. Do you want me to show you?"

"Sure." We start walking. "But wait, aren't you going to be late to class?"

"I'll be fine, trust me. I'll be fine."

After I get my schedule, I look at it and Daniel and I compare classes. We have first, second, and fourth period together.

"Shall I show you to English?" He asks me, and we walk on our way through the halls until we find the room with a preppy, young teacher who seems to not even care that we were late. Good to know for later.

I take a seat in the back next to Daniel and we pass notes the whole time. The teacher doesn't even care. I like this lady.

In Daniel's and my notes we talk about our home life. I tell him that I'm normally a Goth and my parents are really annoying. They are always calling me Lillith and I hate that. He says that his dad has a cat named Maddie that is like the oldest thing in the world and he won't tell him why.

In second period Math that Daniel and I also have together the male teacher is a wackjob. Well, not really. He writes stuff on the board and then when he's done with his pens he throws the pens back on the rack that they go on. And he always misses. He always gets distracted and talks about the San Fransico Giants which is his favorite baseball team, even though we're in New York, but growing up in California, that's my favorite team too, so I support that.

I take a seat next to Daniel again and then we talk about our favorites. Daniel says that his favorite restraunt is the Nasty Burger. I have never eaten there. He promises to take me there after school.

Third period Science goes by slowly without Daniel but finally it's time for forth periord Study Skills, a perfect time to pass notes. This time we talk about secrets. Daniel tells me that he has a special ability, yet he won't tell me what it is. I tell him I feel like my parents are keeping secrets from me.

After Daniel drops me off at home when we are done at the Nasty Burger, I tell him not to walk me up to the front door. I go inside. It's only like, six o' clock but my parents pounce on me anyway, asking me where I've been. When I tell them I've been out with a friend they ask:

"With who?"

"Is it a boy or a girl?"

"Does it matter?" I ask them.

"Uh, yeah!" My dad says.

"Look, Lilly, we just want you to be happy. But if you are going out with guys you can get really hurt. I don't want you to get hurt."

"I'm not going to get hurt!" I tell her.

"Lilly, are you keeping any secrets from us?" Mom asks.

"No."

"Are you sure?" Dad pipes in.

"I'm positive. Are you keeping any secrets from me?" My parents exchange nervous looks and then my dad says, "We just want to keep you safe. So it is very important that you don't keep any secrets from us." I think about that for a second.

"Now who were you with?" Mom asks.

"Daniel," I answer.

"Daniel." My parents think about that for a second before they both gasp and exchange looks.

"What's his last name?" Dad asks, worried.

"Does it matter?" I say.

"Lilly, we just want to keep you safe," Mom says. I sigh.

"Masters. Daniel Masters."

"What? Lillith-"

"Lilly!" I correct my dad.

"Lillith-" he doesn't fix it. "What were you thinking. You can't date Vlad Masters son!"

"I'm not dating him! And who the hell is Vlad Masters?"

"It's just someone who's son you can't be around. I don't want you to see Daniel ever again!"

"You guys are so unreasonable. I am going to hang out with Daniel and you guys can't stop me!" And with that I run up into my room and slam the door.
