Chapter 13

Enjoying Company

The morning came quickly for Naruto, the light streaming in through the open window. Naruto felt the sun's warm glare as his eyes slowly opened fluttering adjusting to the new light in the room. As Naruto's body began waking with him he felt something strange. Something he hadn't felt normally when waking up with Naruto tried to move his head but found something holding him down.

Naruto looked down to see that Nightmare's arms still remained around his body but in a different way. They seemed to be holding him down but not forcefully more so to help Nightmare reach a certain spot. Naruto then felt it further as he looked up to see Nightmare Moon's mane flowing over him. Then he felt something wet on his ear. It was then he realized what was going on. Nightmare was biting his ear.

Actually it was more so she was chewing it lightly as her teeth were more so trying to tickle it. As her lips moved in a wave like motion over it. Nightmare seemed to be humming rather contentedly. Naruto really couldn't tell if she was asleep or not but at the moment his face was currently a bright red. He wanted to tell Nightmare what she was doing but feared her teeth actually chomping down on his ear.

He just layed there allowing Nightmare to essentially nom on his ear. On Nightmare's side however it wasn't really embarrassing for she was merely enjoying the aspects of her dream as she had actually fallen asleep in her quests to help others realize the meanings of their nightmares. Unfortunately her help was accepted in only a way that could be considered mild. With screams of terror filling the dream in most. Others were of course wary at first but they essentially came to seeing her as a 'kind' princess in a sense.

She could still see the fear in their eyes though, it hurt to feel like a target had been placed upon her back but it was her choices that led to this and she was going to have to work to make them see her in this new light. But at least she had Naruto at her side. In her dream she was currently dining on a pastry dish that she was again currently nomming on like a squirrel would an acorn. Naruto was there smiling happily doing the same thing.

The joy of the dream only seeking to make her wave like lip movements faster as Naruto began trying to hold back his laughter. He made a mental note to not let Nightmare get anywhere near his ears. Curse his ear for being so ticklish. He wanted to move away but as he was currently pinned down and Nightmare seeming to be enjoying herself. She snuggled up even closer to Naruto only futher increasing the blush that held tightly to his face.

Naruto really hoped she'd wake up soon or else somepony might walk in and see them like… "Oh my…" Naruto's head shot down his ears flying up onto his head minus the one currently being held in place by Nightmare. At the entrance to his door stood Fluttershy with a large blush covering her face. Nightmare Moon could easily be seen nomming on his ear and Fluttershy looked to be both embarrassed and trying her best not to laugh.

Naruto cursed the fact he could do nothing about this and with Fluttershy here he know he didn't have long before a certain draconequus came in. Only Fluttershy knows what would happen if he came into this room. Naruto knew this because if anypony knew Discord it would be Fluttershy. Naruto knew that Celestia had been his friend at one point but after seeing what happened himself, Naruto knew Celestia didn't know much about Discord other than he was the lord of chaos and yadda yadda.

"Please tell me Discord's not with you." Naruto pleaded as his blush seemed to calm down but remained upon his face. Fluttershy merely nodded her head. Her response was too vague for Fluttershy, he couldn't tell if she meant not with her here in the room or not with her here in the hospital. The fear overtook him and he lightly tapped Nightmare's belly with his hoof. A giggle came from Nightmare as her right foreleg slipped underneath him.

Naruto was now doing everything in his power not to scream and wake. It wasn't from the shock of the moment. The last thing he wanted was for Discord to get ahold of this information. Again only Fluttershy would know what he would do with this info. Naruto heard a small giggle coming from the direction of the door and found Fluttershy unable to hold it any longer as she let out a soft laugh. It was loud but not too loud to attract any attention. Naruto thanked whatever being it was that gave Fluttershy such a soft voice.

"I'm sorry Naruto," She said still laughing softly as she walked into the room, "it's just too adorable. It's like Angel when he's holding a carrot as a pillow." Fluttershy said with a genuine smile as her laughter died down.

"Great now I have a question for you, where exactly is Discord?" Naruto asked in a rather nervous tone. Fluttershy raised a brow in confusion at his question.

"Oh he's just down back at the cottage taking care of the animals while I went to check and see if you guys wanted to get breakfast with us. You weren't home so I went to ask my friends. Rarity said you were here. I was so worried that something bad had happened and well I think you can fill in the rest." Her muzzle dropped saying the last part as a flush of color returned to her face.

"That's good." Naruto said sighing in relief under the information of Discord currently being far away from here. "You have no idea how worried I was. If Discord saw this I bet you know what he'd do with it." Fluttershy only nodded in response but smiled at the thought. Naruto gave Fluttershy a deadpanned glare only to be countered with a giggle. "What's so funny?"

"Oh it's nothing. I was just remembering the time I did that to Discord." Fluttershy pointed to Nightmare still nomming on Naruto's ear. Although it still slightly tickled and Naruto was currently doing everything in his power not to laugh at the softness of her lips on his ears.

"Really you once did that to Discord?" Naruto asked in genuine shock. He could tell that they loved each other immensely but he didn't think in all of Fluttershy's years that she'd do something so embarrassing.

"Yes you can imagine how embarrassed I was when I found myself doing that. Discord even played with me asking if he tasted good. Eep!" Fluttershy grabbed her mane and immediately hid behind it, she mumbled something under her breath her face glowing red at her mistake. Naruto just looked at her confused completely missing the innuendo she had created. Thank Celestia for that.

"Discord does like to make things uncomfortable." Naruto said trying to get Fluttershy out of hiding. It had some success as he saw one of her eyes come out of her mane but the majority of her face was still hidden from her muzzle. As Fluttershy's face began to calm down its red glow she allowed her mane to return to its proper position after petting it a few times.

"It's not that I he was trying to make me feel even more embarrassed it was more or less just him trying to make me laugh it just had the other effect. He made it up to me though." Fluttershy said as she was about to continue when her feathers ruffled slightly. "Oh no!"

Naruto looked at her confused until he heard what sounded like a deep toned hum. His head turned quickly around as Nightmare's lips seemed to be pressing harder on his ear. He cursed her for a slight second as the worse thing that could have happened…happened. Discord walked in holding a small little box. His eyes were closed as he introduced himself.

"Hello my friends, just thought I'd stop by to give the lovely couple a new gift and—," He stopped the moment his eyes opened. He looked at Nightmare Moon still nomming on Naruto's ear and Naruto looking at him with a nervous and very frightened smile. Discord snapping his fingers magically placed the box on the nightstand next to the bed.

Discord looked to be composing himself as he took a deep breath and then erupted into joyous laughter. Naruto just deadpanned as he felt the blush come to his face. Fluttershy just shook her as she smiled at Discord's antics although she couldn't blame him seeing as she had done the same only she didn't make a it a big deal.

"Oh this is just delightful." Discord said whipping out a camera from nowhere. Naruto swore he was related to Pinkie Pie in some way. Discord went up to the sleeping Nightmare Moon and Naruto holding the camera he produced and grabbing Fluttershy with an extended arm. No really he extended his arm an extra three feet to grab Fluttershy in for the picture as he pressed the button down causing a flash that made both Naruto and Fluttershy's eyes spin in their holes.

"Ooo that is so going on the Hearth Warming Cards this year." Discord said to both Naruto and Fluttershy's dismay. Although this would technically be Flutterhsy and Discord's first hearth's warming together she guessed that it was just Discord teasing them. Discord was about to leave when Fluttershy somehow got in front of him. "Is something the matter my dear?"

Fluttershy only held out her hoof and Discord looked at it with slight confusion. "Discord, may I see that camera please?" Fluttershy asked her face still showing somewhat of a blush. Discord merely held the camera up to his eye level and shook his head. Then Fluttershy did something that would make anything and I tell you anything flinch in fear. Her eyes looked straight up at him and they looked to have gotten bigger and watery as if she was about to cry. Her hooves rested just below her chin in what could only be described as a begging stance.

Discord and Naruto, even though Naruto wasn't the target of the eye treatment being given at the moment, flinched at her puppy dog like eyes. Discord tried to look away but no matter where he looked Fluttershy was there. She even went as far as to slowly glide her hoof over his chest which only responded in Discord's eye twitching.

With no way out of this he looked about ready to fume when his body slumped over and he held out the camera in defeat. Fluttershy immediately went from puppy dog eyes to a look of triumph as she took the camera in her hooves. "Thank you Discord." Fluttershy said happily as Discord mumbled something under his breath.

"Naruto if Nightmare Moon or Luna ever do that don't try to fight it. I may be immune to her stare and what not but those pleading eyes are just too much I'm surprised they haven't tied that on you yet." Discord said in a rather defeated tone. Naruto was still recovering from the initial shock of Fluttershy's puppy eyes when Discord had spoken to him.

"Right then, and AH!" Naruto gasped as Nightmare Moon held him tighter than normal as her nibbling on his ear began to increase even more.

Discord turned slightly shocked that this was still happening within the room. "How long has she been doing that?" Discord asked pointing his claw at the sleeping Nightmare.

"Since I woke up. As far as I know she's been doing it since I fell asleep." Naruto said as Nightmare continued her assault on his ear.

Discord only nodded his head in understanding. "Believe it or not when Fluttershy did that to me it lasted for an hour." Naruto looked at Discord in disbelief. Why in the name of Tartarus would he allow Fluttershy to nibble on his ear like this for an hour? "If you're wondering I was having too much fun to stop her. Oh you should have seen her when she found out she-mph" Discord's mouth was stopped as one of Fluttershy's hooves clogged it up like a cork would a wine bottle.

"He already knows about that Discord. I told him already." Discord looked shocked that Fluttershy would have told something so embarrassing especially something like that. "I was just trying to be nice. I didn't think it was fair that he had to deal with something that embarrassing and not have somepony else feel that way."

Discord looked up at her with a smile as he placed his claw upon her chin. "You really are too kind you know that right?" Discord asked a slight bit of admiration within his voice. Fluttershy giggled behind her hoof as Naruto gasped again from the tickling her teeth were currently giving his ear.

Discord looked over seeing that Naruto wasn't exactly comfortable. then again he was being bear hugged by a mare that looked to be having a rather pleasant dream; if the smile she had as she still currently nommed on Naruto's ear was anything to go by. Discord raised his paw up and snapped his fingers a clothes pin appeared. Naruto looked at the thing with confusion and slight anger as if saying 'How the in the name of Tartarus is that going to work?'

Discord just smiled to himself knowing full well what this will do to Nightmare Moon. He flicked his claw up into the air and the clothes pin followed suit. As Discord lowered his claw the clothes pin gently floated down until it was just over the bridge of Nightmare's nose. Naruto looked in horror as the pieces were beginning to fit. He looked in Discord's direction flailing his hooves telling Discord this was a bad idea.

Discord snapped his fingers and the clothes pin closed down upon the bridge of Nightmare's nose closing all form of air circulation. Naruto's eyes widened in fear as he could only hear the snorting now coming from Nightmare Moon. It didn't take long for Nightmare to wake up though but the way she did it sent both Fluttershy and Discord into an uproar of laughter.

Nightmare jumped from the bed her arms wrapping ever tighter around Naruto's body bringing him into what could only be described as a death hug. And her reaction to it wasn't any better either. "ELEMENTS! TIMBERWOLVES! ELEMENTS RIDING TIMBERWOLVES!" Nightmare cried her eyes clearly showing fear on her face while Naruto's was spread with nothing but confusion.

It didn't take long for Nightmare to finally register the sound of Discord and Fluttershy's laughter. She turned her head to find Discord on his back his claw over his face while Fluttershy was sprawled out across his stomach trying to stifle her own laughter. Nightmare looked down seeing a clothes pin and then felt the pain on her nose. She then looked to what she was holding and smiled nervously as she put Naruto down whose face still racked with confusion.

She then turned her attention to the laughing couple. Her horn ignited as she grabbed ahold of the yellow mare bringing her close. "And what pray tell is so funny?" Nightmare asked her cat like eyes piercing Fluttershy's causing her to squeak in fear. Discord's laughter died at that exact moment as he looked upon Fluttershy's scared form. His claw quickly snapped shocking Nightmare at his speed as Fluttershy appeared laying in his paw. His teeth were bared like a lion protecting his pride.

"Oh come now Discord, we both know that I wasn't going to do anything to her. She is in fact one of the few friends I have in this town as far as I know." Nightmare said as Discord seemed too clam down slightly but his defenses were definitely not down if the expression on his face was anything to go by. "I apologize Fluttershy, didn't mean to get so worked up just a pleasant dream that I was so rudely woken from." Fluttershy seemed to calm when Nightmare flashed her an apologetic smile.

"Oh, it's alright Nightmare Moon. Discord didn't mean any harm. You know how he can get at times." Fluttershy said smiling as Discord nodded his head still keeping his gaze on Nightmare Moon.

Naruto was looking at Discord now seeing his expression brought Naruto to stand in front of Nightmare. Naruto also bore the same look upon his face. Discord merely cast his gaze towards him. Their eyes locked as they seemed to be playing out the fight in their minds. That is before both had their respective mares blow into their ears. Both Discord and Naruto jumped at this. They looked at their respective mares seeing the smiles on their faces and looked to calm down. Looking back to one another again and smiled understanding each other.

"Well then," Nightmare said trying to hat the silence within the room, "can I ask why you're here?"

"Oh well I was talking with Naruto about you two possibly joining us for breakfast we were thinking of going to Sugar Cube Corner. If that's okay of course." Although Fluttershy was talking with confidence she still seemed to be acting her usual shy like self.

Naruto was about to interject when Nightmare spoke up. "We'd love to join you two after all it'll be nice to have friends to eat with." Nightmare said smiling. Naruto looked up to her in a somewhat confused manner as if wondering what was going on. "C'mon Naruto don't tell me you were going to tell them no?" Nightmare said with a sly grin.

"No not at all I was just surprised to see you jumping the gun like that. I thought you'd be a little hesitant to get to know the town because of well you know?" Naruto said looking nervous as he held his head down. Nightmare just tilted her head to the side confused but his words. "You know how you were once um…evil?"

"Oh…" Nightmare said her ears falling back on her head as her mane seemed to slow in its everlasting waviness. It looked like all of her excitement had been ripped from her body. Naruto placed his arm on her wing slightly stroking it getting a gasp from Nightmare. He immediately drew back remembering how sensitive they were. He had learned of it through Luna and he could only guess how sensitive Nightmare was.

"I didn't mean it like that Nightmare." Naruto said holding out his hoof as if trying to see that smile of hers again. She looked up to him but her face looked more like it was ready to let out a small whimper. "Hey don't worry I'm sure everything'll be fine. I'll be there and so will Discord. You don't have anything to worry about." Naruto was mentally beating himself for what he had said. He had taken the wind out of Nightmare's sails abruptly as if he had wanted to.

Nightmare's smile looked to return after that. Naruto smiled back while sighing inwardly feeling as if he dodged a needle on that one. (I can't say bullet because none of them know what that is.) "But if it's alright with you I think I should go as myself." Nightmare said as her she stepped down from the bed.

All in attendance looked to her in confusion for a second when Naruto spoke up, "What do you mean by that Nightmare?" Naruto asked as he stepped down taking his place next to her. Nightmare looked to be shaking as if she didn't want to do this in front of everypony.

"Well I was going to do this for that date you were planning but I guess if the town's ponies are going to be that upset with me then I'll just use my true form." Nightmare said as she stepped away from Naruto. "No pony knows of that form but two ponies one of which you already know."

Naruto had a feeling that the one she was talking about was Luna but this other he had no idea who the other pony could be. "It's alright Nightmare and besides, it's only breakfast it's not a special occasion." Nightmare looked down to him in confusion. "I want your true form to be a surprise to me when we go on that date alright."

Nightmare looked to him with a smile as she nodded to him allowing her magic to subside. Naruto looked to the others realizing his words, "I meant no offense by that of course. It's just not as special as our first date you know." Naruto said looking to them for some form of approval.

He got said approval from a simple nod from the yellow pegasus. "It's alright Naruto, believe me when I say I had to do the same thing with Discord for a while before he finally got used to the ponies around him. Be honest most still don't trust him that much." A tear looked to be welling up within Fluttershy's eyes before Discord wiped them with his claw.

He gave a simple smile towards his mare and she seemed to light up like the sun. Naruto looked to Nightmare getting a smile from her. She looked happy for them and she was only hoping that one day she and Naruto could be like the odd couple in front of them. "SO then shall we?" Although Naruto would have rather gone to see Mrs. Flash seeing as her bakery was just an extension of Sugar Cube Corner. But, he knew that Fluttershy and her friends were regulars at Sugar Cube, most ponies that came to Mrs. Flash's store lived nearby.

The four of them walked out of the hospital room not without being stopped by Nurse Redheart first. "I see you're doing just fine Nightmare." Redheart looked at Fluttershy then Discord giving him a small scowl. Discord flinched slightly before Redheart allowed a small giggle to escape her lips. "It's alright Discord you helped us save that one pony's life so you're okay in my book. That chaos of yours is good for something I guess."

Discord seemed to beam with happiness after that. Naruto guessed it was rare for him to be praised when it came to his chaos magic. Naruto had seen firsthand what it could do when he saw him turn a manticore into a small kitten. Naruto had laughed tremendously when the small kitten still hissed at Discord. Naruto respected Discord's magic highly mianly because he knew he'd be easily turned inside out if he ever got on Discord's bad side.

But what always struck Naruto as odd was that with all of his strength he seemed more interested in just pulling a simple prank instead of harming others, however he had changed considerable according to what Twilight and Luna told him. Fluttershy had been more of an influence than others believed. They knew they'd be friends but Naruto doubted that just friends put up a sign on their door that said do not disturb if you value your life, if they were just friends.

"It was my pleasure to help. It did take a little coaxing from my dear Fluttershy but seeing the smiles on those ponies' faces was all I needed." Fluttershy hugged Discord strongly getting a happy smile and moan from the large draconequus. Naruto wondered if that'd be him someday with Nightmare Moon and Luna. He stopped his thought process there.

"Did I just say Nightmare Moon and Luna?" His mind repeated the phrase over and over again. He had no idea why he had thought of it that way. When he looked up to Nightmare her head quickly shot in another direction. It was obvious she had been looking at him for some time now. He smiled thinking it was kind of cute to see such a feared alicorn acting shyer than Fluttershy at the moment.

"Nightmare you'll need to check out at the front before leaving. You were technically admitted last night. It's just procedure don't worry about it." Redheart said as she turned to lead them to the front desk. Discord stopped them though almost forgetting something.

"Before we go," He said his head popping in front of them. Naruto looked from the head to the body that still remained by Fluttershy and just shook his head giving Discord a rather unenthusiastic frown. "Nightmare Moon, Naruto why don't you go open that little present I got you both. I heard you were going to be adopting that little unicorn from the orphanage…Crystal was it. Well anyways I thought she might like some company if mommy and daddy were too busy to play with her."

Immediately Naruto ran into the room and grabbed ahold of the box trying desperately to open the box wrapped in an intricately wrapped bow. He was currently cursing his hooves for not having the dexterity of Discord's eagle claw. He was actually resorting to using his mouth to open the box but to no avail.

"Um Naruto…" Nightmare said getting his attention. The bow's wrapping was still in his mouth when he stopped. Nightmare using her magic brought the small box over to her. She let it fall to her hooves and using her magic again unwrapped the bow. Naruto huffed feeling again at a disadvantage due to his lack of magic, but he had beaten others rather easily who had tremendous amounts of magic. So he didn't really find himself lacking, he just found it frustrating that Discord would do something like that.

Naruto came up to Nightmare Moon's side as she began to slowly lift the box open. What they saw inside had them both shocked. After a coupole of seconds of thinking Nightmare's eyes seemed to glow with stars inside of them as she peered into the box. Inside of the small box was a very small timberwolf pup. She quickly used her magic to raise the little pup out of the box and in front of her face.

She brought out her hooves and cradled the little one like she had Crystal. He was just so adorable in her eyes. Naruto was also on the same page but he just had one little question… "Discord…why did you think it would be a good idea for Crystal to have a TIMBERWOLF as a pet?" Naruto asked his smile looking more like he was about to lunge at him with a righteous fury.

"I had a feeling you'd ask that. Why not take another look at the little guy for a second and you'll see why." Discord said as Naruto looked back to the small pup still in the arms of Nightmare. It was then he noticed something strange…he had fought Timberwolves, in fact it was the first batch of enemies that Shadow had sent with Carnac after Luna. But they had been glowing green not the bright blue that this one was glowing.

"Uh Discord is there any reason why this timberwolf pup is glowing blue?" Naruto asked slightly concerned for the small pup seeing as how it might be ill. He had no idea if a living tree could get sick but that didn't mean he didn't have any need to worry. Naruto, although timberwolves weren't exactly his favorite things in the world wasn't going to let this pass.

"Don't worry that's just a little something that I did to make him not so vicious. Basically I changed the mentality of that timberwolf. I did it with Fluttershy and her friends they can vouch for that one. Sorry dear by the way." Fluttershy merely smiled up at Discord telling him it was alright. She knew he wasn't the Discord she knew now, her Discord would never do that to her.

"I'm afraid to ask what you mean by that, seeing as how I wasn't around when that happened." It's true, he had come about a few months after Celestia had Discord reformed thanks to Fluttershy. Naruto was happy to call Discord a friend all the more so seeing as how easily he accepted Nightmare. They were both reformed villains after all.

Fluttershy summarized it down for him so as not to take too long or cause any recoil form Discord. She said he basically just turned them into the opposite of who they were. Fluttershy could never forgive himself for how she treated her friends. She still went through a tad bit of guilt that always seemed to fall over her when the subject came up.

"So basically you changed him into the opposite of what he is?" Naruto questioned still a little confused on the matter. Discord nodded looking smug for whatever reason. Naruto looked down at the little Timberwolf currently sleeping inside of Nightmare's forelegs. She looked ecstatic about the little 'cutie' if it could be called anything.

"Oh what to call you?" Nightmare said softly to the small creature. Naruto shook his head in shock. He knew that Nightmare thought of it to be cute, adorable even, but he thought she'd at least give it more thought. I mean they were about to adopt Crystal within a week or two. They still had to get the house particularly clean and they also had to get another bed. At least one big enough for Crystal to sleep in. At the thought of the bed Naruto immediately blushed. Since Luna and he had gotten closer they had begun to sleep in the same bed together. They hadn't passed the threshold of intimacy but they were able to lie in the same bed together.

Now he had to worry how the two of them were going to do the bedding arrangement until he felt more comfortable with the idea of Nightmare. He had no idea how that conversation would go or more or less start but he was definitely dreading it. Even if Nightmare had forced him last night he knew it was for a reason but now she didn't really have one.

Naruto shook his mind of these unwanted thoughts and decided that was future him's problem. He looked down at the small creature and watched as its small blue eyes opened. It looked up with curiosity towards Nightmare. Nightmare gave the small creature a gentle smile getting a small bark from the young thing. As it began wagging the branch which Naruto could only summarize to be its tiny little tail. Naruto couldn't help but find the little guy adorable.

Naruto couldn't help but sigh in slight frustration. It was like some unforeseen force was sending him more things to deal with just for other's entertainment. Then he thought that perhaps he had been spending too much time with Pinkie although be it small it could have still been enough to make him think of such an absurd thing. But he still needed to make sure about one thing. "Nightmare are you sure you want to keep this little guy. I mean we'll already have our hooves full taking care of Crystal and I don't really know what I am doing when it comes to that."

"Naruto I want you to look at this little pup and say no to him." Nightmare said raising the small pup up to Naruto. The pup's eyes looked to immediately water up as the lights above them made them glisten. The pup added whimpering and stretched out his tiny little wooden paws begging to be held. Naruto looked at the pup and then to Nightmare who held a similar face. He was being hit with a double dose of the puppy dog eyes.

Naruto's could feel the sweat falling from his brow and he wanted to say no but nopony could have taken this, he doubted that even Shadow would be able to withstand this onslaught. He cursed whatever being created such a dastardly creation as he sighed in defeat. Nightmare cried out in delight much to other's lament. The little timberwolf pup also barked in delight at least that's what Naruto thought.

Naruto walked up to the small pup and patted its small head smiling in defeat. He could never really defeat Luna when she gave him that look he couldn't believe he thought he could beat Nightmare Moon. It was one of the many weaknesses that Luna had on him.

"Sorry my friend, but we of the male species can never resist the power of our loved ones puppy dog eyes. I am the same. Fluttershy's are nearly impossible to resist. I have when needed but beyond that I am helpless to those beautiful adorable blue eyes of hers." Fluttershy giggled at his kind words. Naruto didn't know whether they were ever going to stop acting like that, but he thought that Luna and he were no better when they started. But from the sound of it Fluttershy and Discord had been together since before he got here.

There was only one thing he could think of for why they could be so open about this. They loved each other so much that other ponies' opinions didn't really matter to them. They'd rather say what they felt than worry about other's opinions. And to him they were only growing more in love each and every day.

It looked like how he was with Luna. Naruto looked over to Nightmare Moon who was still gawking over the adorable harmless timberwolf. He could only wonder how much he would come to care for Nightmare. But he knew that until that day he was going to find out just how much he cared for her. Looking to Discord he could tell what he cared for most, if it came down to it he'd probably plunge the entirety of this world into chaos if it meant saving Fluttershy. Naruto knew he'd do anything for Luna, but could he do the same thing for Nightmare. He had when he was fighting Mara but his mind had been more worried about Luna.

He internally cursed himself for being so concerned about one who currently wasn't here. He hated that he couldn't decide on these feelings, but he had time not much but still he had time to figure it out. Watching them, Fluttershy and Discord looking so happy together he could only hope it would turn out this way for him. He prayed it would.

"Alright then Blue Bark let's get you home." Naruto said getting a confused look from Nightmare Moon. Naruto looked up to her with a sly grin on his face. "What if we're going to keep him he's going to need a name. Blue Bark sounded nice to me."

Nightmare looked down at the small little pup and smiled as she rubbed its small body against her cheek lovingly. "Blue Bark, I think that's a name I can get behind. So then hence forth thou shall be named Blue Bark!" Nightmare said as she used her magic to put the small pup on her back.

"Well now that that's all settled what say we get you checked out Nightmare?" Redheart said as she began leading them down the hall again. The doctors they passed either hid behind clipboards or just stood there stiff too afraid to move. There were some who gave her a small wave, nothing to noticeable but Naruto saw the sincerity within their small waves.

Naruto found some peace in that at least some ponies were okay with her. They seemed to look past the fact of who she used to be and were probably thinking she was turning out to be more like Luna. At least that's what Naruto hoped they were thinking. He couldn't really tell. He wasn't a mind reader.

It didn't take them long to get Nightmare checked out of the large clinic/hospital. Naruto still had no idea which one to classify this place as so he just went with hospital. It just made more sense in his head. As they Naruto was nearly taken out by a small white bullet. He found himself on his rear with a small white filly on his chest. Upon further inspection his eyes widened in surprise.

"Crystal?!" Naruto exclaimed as he held out the small white filly who smiled happily.

"PAPA!" She said reaching her hooves out as if trying to get another hug. Naruto smiled gently as he brought the small filly in for a hug. It was a small one but it held a great feeling behind it, seeing one who would become his daughter brought an even greater meaning to this hold. He heard Nightmare's giggle. He looked back at her and saw her holding out the small timberwolf for Crystal to see.

"Who is this mama?" Crystal asked in her small voice. Nightmare Moon smiled lightly bringing the small figure down for the young filly to see.

"This is Blue Bark, he's going to be the pet of the family what do you think?" Nightmare asked as the little one opened its little blue eyes. Crystal looked back with her own crystal blue eyes and smiled happily as she held it to her. The little pup merely licked the side of her face and Naruto found himself smiling and he felt a single tear running down his face.

"Naruto are you crying." That voice wasn't Nightmare's. As Naruto looked up he saw Ingrid there with a smile on her face. "Good to see you two again. Even though we met yesterday and I was trying to keep Crystal back at the orphanage she desperately wanted to see you guys. I told her if you were up for it I'd at least let her spend the morning with you guys."

"Thank you Ingrid." Naruto said as he went over and embraced the mare. He could hear a low growl from behind him and saw Nightmare giving him a deadpanned look. "What?" At this Naruto slapped himself mentally remembering just how jealous Luna got when it came to him showing any sort of affection toward another female. "Oh right sorry Nightmare."

"It's alright, it's not like you two were on a secret date or something." Nightmare said with what appeared to be an ounce of venom in her voice. Naruto easily picked up on it. "As long as I don't see anything more than friendly hugs then we'll be fine."

Naruto had no intention of showing such emotions to anypony and he felt hurt hearing Nightmare not trusting him so much. "Don't worry Nightmare my affections are only for you and Luna." Naruto said sighing to himself. He heard something swoosh open and looked up to see Nightmare's wings were extended. She was beaming hearing that Naruto's affections were only for her.

Naruto smiled and went over to Crystal picking her and Blue Bark up and placing them on Nightmare's back. "I think mama wants to give her little moonstone and puppy a piggyback ride." Naruto said giving a sly smile to Nightmare who returned the smile with a shy gentle smile. She hadn't planned on it but the idea wasn't denied.

"Hang on tight Crystal you don't want to fall do you?" Nightmare said calmly as she gave them a motherly smile. Naruto smiled as well as he followed Redheart towards reception. Their breakfast party now had gotten two more.

It took little time to get Nightmare checked out seeing she was only checked in on a cold. Redheart giggled when the Doctor saw the reason. His face was one of anger, shock, surprise, confusion, and laughter. Naruto could see it easily seeing as how he's seen it from customers at Ms. Flash's store. It had been terrifying.

"We'll see you later Redheart." Naruto said waving his hoof to her. Redheart returned the wave smiling happily at the group. Nightmare waved using her magic to lift the small Crystal and pup who waved, well Crystal waved the little pup just gave a panting smile to Redheart as he looked happy at the moment.

"So we're headed to Sugar Cube Corner right?" Naruto asked Fluttershy who nodded her head as she began leading the way. Discord was close to her side some ponies might have said too close for that insane draconequus, but Fluttershy didn't seem to mind, in fact she closed the gap. Lifting herself in the air with her wings she brought one of her wings around the draconequus's back. Discord smiled snapping his fingers so his bat wing grew and wrapped it around Fluttershy.

Naruto may not have had a wing but he walked close to Nightmare thinking it might make her happy. He wanted to know how he felt about her; he didn't want to leave in the dark like that. But he did know one thing, he definitely felt what could only be described as 'butterflies' in his stomach. 'Am I nervous?' Naruto thought as he walked as close as he could without bumping into her.

Nightmare had seen Naruto's movement and was deciding whether or not she should copy Discord and Fluttershy. She dearly wanted to but she had no idea how he would react. He could be fine with it and just let it happen, but there were two other possibilities. He could enjoy the feeling of her feathers, she knew he liked it when Luna hugged him with her feathers. But he could out right just deny the gesture and knock away her wing.

"Why don't you just do it?" Nightmare's head shot to her left as she saw Ingrid walking to her left. Her soft smile was strange to Nightmare, she didn't understand what this earth pony was trying to say. "You want to get closer to him right?" Ingrid whispered trying to make sure Naruto couldn't hear them.

Nightmare Moon was slightly shocked by Ingrid's forwardness with her question. "Well…I mean…yes." Nightmare wanted Naruto to like her, no scratch that, she wanted him to love her just as much if not more than Luna. She however, was afraid, she was happy she got her confessions of feelings done but whether or not he confessed was another story.

"Why do you hesitate? You confessed your feelings for him in front of everypony in this town. Why do you hesitate?" Ingrid asked nearly ordering her for an answer.

"I just don't want to be too pushy. He might not like that." Nightmare said hanging her head in slight disappointment. "I want him to fall in love with me just like he did Luna but I'm worried that I may not have the time."

"Not have the time? What do you mean dear?" Ingrid asked as Nightmare explained to Ingrid Luna had allowed her two months to be with Naruto before she took over again. Ingrid felt like Luna might have been a little too clingy for not giving Nightmare at least four months but she understood the outer reasoning, at least she hoped she did.

"Luna just wants to make sure nopony begins thinking of Naruto as some villain sympathizer. But I wouldn't do anything to hurt Naruto's position with the town's ponies." Nightmare said as she gave Ingrid a scolding look. Ingrid returned her glare with one of her own as if to challenge her.

"If that's the case then you need to move fast if you want to turn your relationship with Naruto from friendly to lovingly. I'm sure that's what Luna wants. She wants Luna to love not just herself but all of her. As far as I am concerned she could have taken back the body if she so desired especially in your weakened state at the time. In a sense she's trying to help you." Ingrid said as she pointed to Nightmare's head. Nightmare looked up toward her horn and looked back down trying to process what Ingrid had said.

She wasn't wrong in the fact that Luna could have taken over the body again. Nightmare had been in a weakened state and Luna could have easily taken over the body but she hadn't instead she let her stay. Nightmare made a mental note that night to thank Luna. "I think you might be right Ingrid. I guess I just need to start working on it then."

"Yes you do and this breakfast might be your best shot to do it as well. You never know what might happen." Ingrid said with what looked to be a sly smile on her lips. Nightmare had no idea what she was getting at but she just returned the smile she saw and looked back over to Naruto and then her wing. She took a deep breath before allowing her wings to open and then fall subtly onto Naruto's back.

He seemed to jump when the feathers came into contact with his coat. He looked at the dark feathers that had draped over his body and looked up to Nightmare in slight confusion who seemed to be either embarrassed or extremely nervous. He smiled up at the mare and brought himself closer to her and nuzzled into her neck getting a light fidget from the dark alicorn's body. Nightmare hadn't anticipated that but that didn't mean she didn't like it. She gave a shy smile down to Naruto looking away as Ingrid gave her a playful nudge with her hoof.

Naruto and Nightmare walked to Sugar Cube Corner the rest of the way side by side connected together by Nightmare's wing. The group of six entered the building and were greeted by an all too familiar voice. "Hello when to Sugar Cube Corner how may I help you?" Naruto and Nightmare's heads shot in the direction of the voice. Standing at the counter was Remedy. Both of them froze as fear, anxiety and nausea took over their bodies.

"Oh Naruto why it's good to see you today." Remedy said seeming to pop out from behind the counter. She had literally dropped her body and appeared next to Naruto. Naruto could only see one possible reason for this. She had been getting lessons from Pinkie Pie. This was bad. "So what brings you to the corner today?"

Remedy inched closer putting herself well within Naruto's personal space. He backed as far as his neck could go but it definitely looked like she wasn't going to stop her advance. Naruto then felt a cold feeling run down his spine. Turning his head slightly he saw Nightmare Moon in what could only be described as a purple and black inferno. He couldn't tell if it was Nightmare's thoughts or her magic burning into the floor at the moment but he knew one thing. Get away from Remedy as quickly as possible.

Naruto quickly took a step back only to have Remedy do the same thing. Nightmare quickly put herself between the two of them her eyes glaring down at the black mare. Remedy looked up returning her glare. Bolts of lightning looked to fly from their eyes as they continued glaring at each other. Naruto wasn't really that worried about Nightmare as he more so feared for Crystal and Blue Bark that rested on Nightmare's back.

Naruto quickly grabbed the small filly and timberwolf pup placing them on his back. Although his nerves were settled a bit he still worried about everypony in the establishment. The last thing he wanted was for Nightmare and Remedy to begin a battle to the death. Naruto knew full well how that was going to end.

He wasn't going to let this morning turn into a disaster in front of him. "Remedy that's enough!" Both mares' heads shot in the direction of Naruto's shouting voice.

"Sorry I was just greeting Nightmare Moon the same as I would Luna. Friendly." Remedy said as she gave a threatening look at Nightmare. Although she had a smile on Naruto could see past her façade.

"Stop it right now Remedy!" Naruto said as he put himself between the two mares now. The customers within the store were getting uncomfortable and he could feel it.

"You can't possibly be saying that you're dating this ex-villain now. What if she's fooling you? How can you tell if she means anything she says?" Remedy asked making several unneeded remarks towards Nightmare Moon.

Naruto's body trembled, he felt anger, sadness and for some reason shock towards himself. He exploded right then and there. "That's enough of your excuses and you attempts at Nightmare Moon. If I have to buy a Celestia bucking ring right now so help me Remedy I will march over to Ms. Flash's shop[ and purchase the first one I see and put it around Nightmare's horn and ask for a ceremony today!" Naruto's words came out before he realized them and he blushed furiously. Nightmare stood half shocked, one quarter elated and another quarter holding herself back from grabbing Naruto and giving him the biggest hug of his life.

"You'd do that for that mare just to get me off her back?" Remedy said in slight disbelief at the moment. Naruto looked around and saw other ponies staring almost waiting for his answer. Some looked to be on the edge of their seats.

Naruto took in a deep breath contemplating his next move, but he knew the answer he needed and whether he liked it or not he had to say it. "Yes, I'd gladly marry Nightmare Moon right now if that'd solve all her problems. The last thing I want is her or Luna to be upset." Naruto looked up giving Nightmare a reassuring smile. Nightmare gave him a smile as well a very teary eyed smile. "So please Remedy I'm going to ask this one more time, please leave Nightmare Moon and Luna alone. I won't ask again."

Remedy couldn't believe her ears. Did Naruto just threaten her? The way he looked it looked more like he didn't want to do it but had no choice. "Fine if it keeps you from marrying this dark abomination very well."

Naruto was about to protest when he felt something touch his shoulder. Turning to his right he saw Discord there shaking his head. Looking into his eyes Naruto got everything that Discord was trying to convey to him. It wasn't worth the trouble to say anything. Naruto still felt the pain in his heart. He looked to Nightmare who was looking at him with a warm smile.

"Alright then, I guess we'll be taking our seats now." Fluttershy said trying her best to decrease the tension that had been created within the room. Naruto nodded his head going over to grab a kid's chair for Crystal. He had no idea what he was going to do with Blue Bark but he thought that the little guy would be fine in a small chair. Grabbing two kid safe chairs he brought them over and placed the two young ones within each chair.

Nightmare couldn't help but find Crystal's happiness contagious as she found herself giggling as she watched Naruto take the seat next to them. She grabbed the chair next to him. Naruto looking ot his right and to his left, he felt like he was truly a part of a family. He couldn't help the smile that shone on his face. "Well somepony looks happy?" Discord said as his body bent over far enough to nudge Naruto with his elbow.

"Well what do you expect Discord? It would be the same for you if you and Fluttershy just tied the knot am I right?" Naruto asked getting a massive blush out of both of them. Naruto turned to Nightmare who still held her warm smile. "Sorry about that Nightmare."

"What do you mean Naruto?" Nightmare asked her happiness changing into confusion.

"I'm sorry Remedy said that, and I'm also sorry if I got your hopes up. MY mouth was running faster than my brain. I just wanted to apologize." Naruto felt as though he may have just killed the mood but he felt good to have that off his shoulders.

"Oh it's alright Naruto, I knew you were just trying to get Remedy to leave me alone." Nightmare said her hooves twirling together in a nervous fidget. "It did make me happy though when you said you'd marry me just to get her off our—I mean my back." Nightmare looked to pull a Fluttershy as she hid behind her wings seeing as how she couldn't grab her mane.

Naruto chuckled to himself at Nightmare's cuteness as did Fluttershy and Discord. Ingrid smiled as she patted the young Crystal and pup Blue Bark. They looked to be enjoying themselves even though they had seen such a scene. Naruto had to thank their innocence for keeping them so happy, had they been any older he could only imagine what they might ask.

"I guess I'll go get the breakfast then." Naruto said as he got up from his seat. He could already hear the flirting that Remedy would surely be sending his way.

"Hold on Naruto, I'll do that," Discord said slithering in the air in front of Naruto, "I don't think we want Nightmare destroying the store. Don't get me wrong I think she'd hold herself back for the sake of your kid there but, let's try and avoid any needless confrontation. I'd like to enjoy this with my wife and not cause any bad memories for the little ones after all. You go give that mare of yours some company she might need it."

Discord shot his eyes back and forth as if trying to indicate something. Naruto followed his eyes and saw the looks some of the other patrons were giving Nightmare. Naruto didn't understand what was going on…don't they realize what Mara and Shadow would have done if they had taken her. Mara would have probably tortured everypony in Ponyville for fun probably.

Naruto wanted to shout, scream at all of them merely for giving Nightmare that look. Those eyes that held fear within them he couldn't understand why. She had protected them, put her life and Luna's life on the line for them. She even shouted that she wouldn't allow Mara to hurt those ponies all for them to just turn their backs on her like that.

Naruto was about to lose his mind again…it was heartbreaking to see somepony he cared for get this kind of recognition. She wasn't the same as she was back then so why were they all doing this? Before Naruto could act though he felt the soft feel of feathers. HE turned his head to see Nightmare staring at him with a worried expression.

Naruto shook his head and smiled to her assuring her that everything was okay. As much as he wanted to call all these ponies out he couldn't, no he wouldn't do that to Nightmare. He walked back to his seat patiently awaiting for Discord to return to the table with the food. "Is everything okay Naruto?" Fluttershy was the first to ask him as he looked at her slightly puzzled by the situation.

"Oh me, I'm fine." Naruto said not entirely lying. He was definitely feeling fine but he just didn't know if his anger towards some of the patrons whose eyes he could feel burning holes into the back of his head. Nightmare's soft feathers were doing a lot more help then Nightmare realized. It was the very feel of them that kept him from going off.

''Naruto it's okay I felt the same way when ponies gave Discord that look." Naruto cringed slightly at her words. Fluttershy had read him like a small children's book understanding his body language to the inch. "I know it can be hard and it can be frustrating but for the ones you love you just have to go through it."

Nightmare looked at Naruto and Fluttershy confused. She looked around and noticed many ponies' heads quickly duck down trying to hide their faces from her. She got the gist of what Fluttershy was saying at that point. She rubbed her right foreleg up and down slightly nervous if her presence was ruining the morning.

"Nightmare it's okay, I'm still here right?" Naruto asked getting a small nod from the dark alicorn. "Then that should be all that matters. Sorry if I was about to explode. You and Luna are two of the few who can read me that way. I guess." Naruto said sending a genuine smile her way. She smiled happily towards him feeling a warmth over take her body.

"Mama?" Nightmare heard the little voice and quickly turned to Crystal. "How long will it be before I can come home?" She asked her eyes looking sad and hopeful all at the same time.

"Soon my little moonstone. I promise that by the end of the week we'll have your room all set up for you. And then we can all live together as a family." Nightamre said happily towards the little filly. The little filly replied gleefully as she shot her little hooves into the air. Naruto couldn't help but smile at the little ones adorableness.

Before another word was said Discord returned with the food and drinks. How he knew what to get everypony Naruto could only chalk it up to him using some form of his chaos magic or he just knew. Didn't really matter though. He looked around and saw similar plates. He saw that he and Fluttershy were both having waffles. Fluttershy's however how what looked to be whipped cream and slices of strawberries on top. Naruto's were plain with two squares of butter and he was perfectly oaky with this.

He looked over to Crystal to see a plate, kid size, with a small assortment of pancakes. Ingrid was busy trying to get the little bib around Crystal's neck. Naruto gestured for her to give him the bib and took it with his hoof. Crystal looked up at Naruto with a curious gaze as he used his hoof to somehow wrap the bib around Crystal's little neck making sure it wasn't too tight.

Ingrid began aiding little Crystal with her plate. Ingrid merely had oatmeal which Naruto couldn't tell if Discord meant for that to happen or if he made some kind of mistake. Ingrid took a spoonful of her oatmeal and placed it between her lips. Naruto watched as Ingrid seemed to melt into the bite as if she had tasted nirvana itself.

Naruto then looked to Discord and saw that he merely held a chocolate malt in his claw. Naruto stared blankly at him praying he didn't drink it in his weird way again. It freaked him out when Discord had drank the actual cup instead of the milk and threw it causing some sort of explosion to which Fluttershy scolded him for after she laughed at him.

Naruto finally looked over to Nightmare and saw what he could only describe as a taco like item. "Nightmare what's that?" Naruto asked as he pointed towards Nightmare's food.

"Oh this is what's called a blueberry crepe!" Nightmare said her hooves on her face as it looked like a small line of drool was trying to escape her lips. Naruto looked closer at the food gracing Nightmare's plate. IT was a single flat pancake by the looks of it wrapped up like a burrito with a cream on the inside that was a mixture of blue or purple he couldn't tell mixed in with white. The blueberries even seemed to drip down off the crepe and onto the plate.

Naruto had to admit it did look appetizing. However he had his own food to get to. Grabbing the syrup and pouring a decent amount he took a bite taking in the fluffy interior and it's lightly crisp exterior. It was almost as good as the ones Luna had made for him one time. He took another bite enjoying the food until he heard what sounded like a snort. He turned and saw that a little of the blueberry cream had landed on the tip of Nightmare's nose. Nightmare wiggled her nose a little trying to get it to fall down onto her plate.

"I'll get it for you Nightmare." Naruto said as he held a napkin in his hooves for her.

"Naruto I don't know if that's okay…I mean I wouldn't mind but with all these ponies watching I don't think it would be a good idea." Nightmare said as she went to get her own napkin with her magic but was stopped when she felt the light touch of Naruto's hoof. "…Naruto?"

Naruto just stared into her eyes as she just nodded her head closing her eyes heavily. Naruto went to reach up with his napkin only to stop when he felt the tension within Nightmare's foreleg. He looked up again at Nightmare and could easily tell she was nervous, even embarrassed that all these ponies were likely judging her. Naruto could barely take it and his body began moving on its own. He wanted Nightmare to know she was safe, he wanted her to know that she didn't have to worry about those other ponies, he wanted her to know…that he was here for her and he would do anything for her.

Before Naruto knew what had happened he had gotten the blueberry off of Nightmare's nose, however it wasn't in the way he had originally sought. Naruto upon coming to the realization went wide eyed in utter shock as his lips covered the tip of Nightmare's nose where the blueberry had once been. His eyes went up and stared right into Nightmare's.

They both just stared at one another the other too afraid to move away or move at all. They seemed to be locked down on each other trying to read each other for any sort of emotion but they found nothing in the vast void of the shock and confusion their minds were going through. Naruto somehow found the strength to move as he did his eyes stayed connected to the cat like eyes of Nightmare Moon. Her face was no longer black she had gone red all the way to her ears.

When Discord cleared his throat the two of them finally broke their connection and while they both internally thanked him both Nightmare and Naruto looked away from one another. Naruto finding the words first spoke up, "Sorry, I-I don't know what came over me." Naruto was mentally hitting himself as he couldn't believe he just did that. He was just supposed to wipe off the blueberry cream and instead he kissed her on the nose.

Nightmare's mind was in a greater sense of disarray with three words constantly playing in her head. 'He kissed me, he kissed me, he kissed me…' and that continued to play in her head the wiggly smile on her face was prevalent enough that nothing really mattered as her heart beat faster than before. Nightmare could hear Luna screaming something but couldn't really care at the moment, Nightmare knew even if Naruto hadn't meant to do it. Something in him cared enough for her to do something so embarrassing.

Nightmare reigning in her thoughts brought her head back to the table still not looking at Naruto. Naruto was practically in the same way while everypony else at the table minus the Crystal and Blue Bark who were completely oblivious to what had just occurred. Fluttershy was currently holding her hooves over her mouth while Discord merely smiled mischievously toward the two of them.

They remained silent the rest of the meal. No matter what Fluttershy or Discord tried to do it was as if they had shut themselves away to the confines of their brains. They merely responded in the most basic single worded forms that they could muster. That's kind of how the rest of that breakfast went.

As they were leaving Naruto finally broke the silence. "Sorry I didn't mean to ruin the nice morning with whatever it was that happened. But, I apologize Fluttershy maybe sometime Nightmare and I can take you and Discord out…if that's okay?" Naruto said shyly still shaken by the previous event that had occurred.

"Of course Naruto, we'd love to get together again wouldn't we Discord?" Fluttershy asked as she looked at the draconequus. He nodded his head as he and Fluttershy turned to head for their cottage, probably to take care of the animals.

"Papa," Naruto looked down to see the young Crystal with Blue Bark at her side, "how long will it be before I can go home with you and mama?" Crystal asked as she gave Naruto a pouty face which only served to give Naruto a guilty pain within his body.

"Don't worry my little Crystal, mama and I are going to get that house looking like a nobles and have your room done before you know it." Naruto grabbed Blue Bark and placed the little Timberwolf upon his back then looked to Ingrid. "I know I don't need to say this but I'm trusting you with Crystal until we get ready alright. Please make sure nothing happens to her. I don't want anything happening to her or me again."

Ingrid knew what he meant and after a friendly shake of hooves and loving hugs from parents to child Ingrid and Crystal went on their way. Naruto and Nightmare walked home the rest of the way in silence. It wasn't that they were upset with each other. They were more or less looking for what words to say, what could be said after that incident. Naruto had told her he was still searching out his feelings and then he goes and does that. Both couldn't understand anything at the moment.

When they entered their home Naruto had gotten fed up with the silence. He wanted to talk say anything that could make up for what he had done but the only words to come out of his mouth were, "I'm sorry!" He shouted as Nightmare turned to look at him confused at his sudden outburst.

"S-Sorry? Naruto what are you apologizing for?" Nightmare asked as Naruto took a rather long breath as if trying to ready himself for whatever was coming.

"I'm sorry that I kissed you. I-I don't know what came over me. I just wanted you to know you were safe and I reacted the same way I would for Luna. I'm sorry Nightmare." Naruto said letting his head hang down in sorrow. He knew that he had gotten her hopes up and he knew that he probably just destroyed the entirety of them.

HE expected to hear some kind of whimpering or some kind of tear reddened sniffle but what he received was the exact opposite. He got a giggle, it sounded playful and happy as if she found this funny. When Naruto went to look up he found himself already within the embrace of the dark alicorn. He was shocked confused and happy all at the same time even if his face leaned more to the shocked side.

"Don't be sorry Naruto; to tell the truth I'm happy you did that. It made me or more so helped me realize how much you truly care for me." Nightmare said looking down at the shocked stallions face. "So what do you say we put that behind us and get to finishing up this house huh?"

Naruto looked up at the gleeful smile upon Nightmare's face. Seeing the warmth in her eyes made him smile back. "Yeah," He said getting up out of her embrace much to Nightmare's displeasure, "we should get this done fast so we can spend as much time together you know. I want to get to know you truly Nightmare and I'm hoping you and I can…become closer because of it."

Naruto had gotten up to go close the door as his hoof touched the door though he felt something soft and warm touch his cheek. Before he had known what happened he found Nightmare's lips pressed against his cheek for the second time within as many days. "I really did appreciate that kiss Naruto." She said as she headed off to see what needed to be fixed.

Naruto just stood staring out the window for a few moments as he tried to let the butterflies currently swarming his stomach to settle. When they had calmed down slightly Naruto found himself giving a long sigh of what could only be described as happiness. He smiled happily as he closed the door only to catch something out of the corner of his eye. He flung the door open getting a shriek from down the house Nightmare appearing at his side.

Naruto could only stare at something that didn't really make sense at the time. Nightmare followed his eyes and saw the same thing. "Is that Twilight?" Nightmare asked as she saw the lavender mare walking across the gates of Ponyville. But there was another pony with her but it wasn't one of her friends. It looked to be a stallion about as tall as Big Mac. He had a blue coat and a black mane that looked more spiked than others would have known. The only thing the two of them could say was "Is Twilight on a date?"

Okay then I hope we enjoyed this little installment of mush. I wanted to show a softer side to Nightmare Moon and I hope I delivered.
