Dear Desert Dreamer Readers,

Your reviews and messages about my beloved story are so encouraging, rest assured, this story will be finished! I have the rest of the plot outlined, and have already started on another chapter. Considering that I'm a college student with two majors, three jobs, and a social life, it's been hard to find time to write... but trust me, there will several new chapters this summer. Thanks SO much for staying with this story during its hiatus, see you soon!

~Mina34

"O, she doth teach the torches to burn bright!

It seems she hangs upon the cheek of night

Like a rich jewel in an Ethiope's ear;

Beauty too rich for use, for earth too dear!

So shows a snowy dove trooping with crows,

As yonder lady o'er her fellows shows.

The measure done, I'll watch her place of stand,

And, touching hers, make blessed my rude hand.

Did my heart love till now? forswear it, sight!

For I ne'er saw true beauty till this night."

~Romeo and Juliet, Act I, Scene V

"It lies not in our power to love or hate,

For will in us is overruled by fate.

When two are stripped, long ere the course begin,

We wish that one should love, the other win;

And one especially do we affect

Of two gold ingots, like in each respect:

The reason no man knows, let it suffice,

What we behold is censured by our eyes.

Where both deliberate, the love is slight:

Who ever loved, that loved not at first sight?"

-Sir Christopher Marlowe

Mina34: Well... after an annoyingly long hiatus of erm... three years, I've returned! I decided to start completely fresh and from square one, if you will, with no favorite stories or authors yet. I'm primarily focusing on ATLA stories, more specifically that lovable pair we all hold so dear... Zutara. I know, I know, this would never happen on the show, but they are like, SO perfect for each other. Desert Dreamer, my new story is part of an idea that I have loved ever since in popped into my head in class the other day. It's writing itself blindingly quickly, and since I'm out of school right now with nothing to do for awhile, there should be no problem getting it out of my head.

Thanks for visiting! If you have any Zutara's to reccomend to me, let me know!

TA!

The story of a Sultan born of great betrayal, a concubine born of terrible tragedy, and the firestorm that erupts between them. My AU response to a tired Zutara plotline. Set in Ancient Arabia.
