I continue to keep my account for subscription purposes. I can guarantee none of my stories will ever be completed. In the past few years I have discovered that written fan fiction is really only effective for adaptations of novels. This is because in order to truly replicate the original, the delivery must be given in the same manner, i.e as a work of literature. Therefore a good fanfiction writer can accurately capture the idiosyncrisies and style of the original author and maintain the elements of characters that make them them. My personal taste also requires no major changes in the original plot, and in my opinion good fanfiction can only be written after the original author has no plans to continue with the story, but again that is just how I feel.
