Author has written 34 stories for Star Wars, Jedi Apprentice, Inkheart, Harry Potter, House, M.D., Sherlock, and Avengers.

Update [27 Aug. 2013] : I know I've been absent for a while, and scarce for even longer, and I apologise. I have a few stories in progress that I hope to complete, but at the moment, I haven't found the energy to work on them and still like what I'm writing. Maybe it's Sherlock over-saturation, or just something else entirely.

The Avengers oneshot I posted just today was unexpected, but it's heartened me that I'm quite pleased with it. Maybe I just need to take a break from Sherlock, try something different, for a while, before I can go back with as much enthusiasm as I had when I started. At any rate, much love to you all who have taken the time to read, and to leave your own thoughts, and I still love to hear from people even if I'm not as active as I would like. :)

"Brave is the man who holds to his beliefs; nor shall he ever show the sorrow in his heart before he knows how he can hope to heal it." -The Wanderer, trans. Crossley-Holland

I am a dreamer.

I am distant, I am wary, I am a romantic at heart and a lover of the ethereal. My passion is art, but I write because I know the power of words and the beauty of a perfectly-crafted sentence. I seek in my writing to evoke the moment - the sight, sound, touch, reason, and emotion of a second or an hour or a year. I like character development, and character exploration. I like taking one line, one implication, from the canon, and plunging headfirst into the story behind it. Missing scenes are jewels to write.

There are a few things I have come to realize about fanfiction:

1). It inspires. It gives a starting point, a canon, that any author can use as a foundation for beginnings and a platform for flight.

2). It is utterly unpredictable. It will make you laugh, cry, and wince, and sometimes all three at once.

3). You can respect the canon, but you can't make others do the same.

... which is sad, really. I'm a canon person. I'm an in-character person. I literally cannot get through any story that does not have the respective individuals in-character, and I do, to the best of my ability, strive to write with the same respect for those characters and their personalities. To make a character suffer the pains of OOC-ness is, in my humble opinion, nothing short of a crime.

On that note, we return to the subject of the canonical. I like it. It makes me happy. It grows a little blossom of sunshine in my heart when I find a story that is not only well-characterized and brilliantly-written, but fits within its canon. I give a tip of the proverbial hat to all who can do this and do it well. You are wonderful. Keep going. Inspire, and be inspired.

This is not to say that I'm planning a dark, scheming, all-out vendetta on anyone who writes in the murky realms of the non-canon and the OOC. No one likes flaming, myself included, and that's that.

BETA READING! For anyone who would be interested in having me as a beta, I'd be more than happy to talk to you. I'm currently only interested in the Sherlock fandom for beta'ing, but if that's your cup of tea, feel free to send me a message and we can discuss. I flatter myself that I'm quite good at it, and very thorough.

On Sherlock [BBC] :

It is brilliant. The characters are marvelously conceived and wonderfully acted. I've a special admiration for John Watson, Mycroft Holmes, and most of all, James Moriarty. There is so much to these personalities that we never see on-screen but are given delicious hints of. Many of my Sherlock pieces will try to unravel these characters, and I have a feeling they will never be completely successful.

Every fairy tale needs a good old-fashioned villain.

NOTE: To anyone who takes a look at my Sherlock stories, please also take the time to head over to Setep Ka Tawy's profile page, where you will find, amidst a myriad of other incredible writings, a story called "Returning to Tomorrow". This is a post-Reichenbach plot-arc collaboration between Setep and myself, and we have put a rather ridiculous amount of thought and work into it. Any reviews, thoughts, comments, and constructive criticism that you can leave there would be so wonderfully appreciated and will never go unnoticed. Thank you!

On House, MD :

RIP, House. Eight seasons is a long run, and it was a rollercoaster of a ride. There is something about this series that takes my breath away - its characters, its relationships, its stark confirmation of reality. It brings tears of laughter and tears of sorrow, and I don't think there will ever be anything like it.

James Wilson, you are a saint and a savior. House would be nothing without you.

If you've made it this far - thank you! I'm a friendly person, I swear, and I like nothing more than to hear from other authors out there. I also like chocolate and cranberry juice, though not at the same time.

Cheers!
