Hello, hello everyone!

I'm IrishRose610 and I am a former FanFiction writer that has gone through a major freaking cleanse before diving back into this crazy, beautiful world. I was always the girl who when watching a show or reading a book, my shipping preferences never matched that of what was canon. On a few rare occasions, off the top of my head I can only think of three times, did the couple I shipped by the same as what was actually going on in the show/book. Because of this little habit of mine, I was brought into the world of FanFiction.

For awhile, I was merely a reader. Enjoying and applauding the writing talents of those who shared my thoughts various topics. One day however, I decided to try my hand at it. What I love about FanFiction, and what I feel most people don't understand, is that it's a creative outlet. Yes we are also using it to fulfill our wants to see certain events take place or see certain characters end up with one another, but overall it's a creative world where we create and share and support one another.

As I stated, I'm a former writer for this site and I wrote for vastly different categories. I went on this crazy cleansing binge because I had found myself in a rut. I hadn't written anything for almost a year and whenever I tried it was some pretty lousy work. I decided I needed a change, a break. So I deleted all my stories off my account and I erased all my copies of my work saved on my computer so I wouldn't be tempted to re-upload or reread in a vain attempt to finish them. Drastic? Maybe. But it was the best thing for me.

I took some time away from FanFiction, both reading and writing, but now I'm back and my creative juices are flowing once more. In the past I tended to stick to one genre, one specific category. This time I'm really not sure. I like the idea of having the freedom to explore different fandoms and try my hand at them all. I'm excited to share my work and receive thoughts and feedback. I have a goal to write my own book one day, and this is some wonderful training.
