About Me

I'm 24. I'm a high school Spanish teacher and a recent college graduate so I guess it's my turn to try this real world/adult/career thing. We'll see how that goes. But until September, I plan on enjoying every minute of my summer. But I'm very excited to start teaching because it is the coolest job ever. How many other jobs let you film plays and go to amusement parks? And I love not being stuck behind a desk and how I can teach the same stuff to three different classes but it's still different every time.

At this point in my life, I don't spend too much time in any one place. Right now I live in two different states, but I (mostly) love it because I get to see all my favorite people on a regular basis. I actually get very restless if I have to stay in one place for too long. And when that happened, I tend to buy plane tickets, which gets expensive. Needless to say, I love traveling and getting to see new places and try new foods.

I love reading. I try to avoid going to book stores because I'd most definitely go broke. I tend to max out my library cards (yes, it's plural. One of the perks of living in two states!) instead of my credit cards. I love mysteries and romance. Especially paranormal romance. And I'm really into the vamp lit genre too. But in my defense, I was a fan of that years ago when Twilight was just a single book. On here, I'll read just about any fandom that I know the characters in. I'll branch out into unknown fandoms if I trust the author.

I'm a huge fan of slash if it's written well. Actually, I'll give anything a chance if it's written well. I ship Danny/Flack for CSI:NY and Ryan/Chad for High School Musical and Nick/Greg for CSI if it's written well. They're a tricky couple to write and very few authors have been able to make me believe those two together.

Unfortunately, I am also a TV addict who watches way too much TV.

My Writing

Warning: Things like swearing and drinking and sex are all fair game. For this reason, none of my fics are likely to be rated below a T. You're never going to find anything in my summaries that spoils the plot. I'm not going to list pairings if it'll ruin the end of the story. Nor am I likely to warn you about content if it'll ruin the plot. A lot of my stuff also includes slash. Sometimes as a main couple and sometimes there's just a hint here or there. I'm sorry if the bothers you. If you think you want to read something but aren't sure of the content, please PM me and I'll give you a better idea of what to expect and you can decide from there.

Updates

The Place You're In- Continuing the Derek and Casey relationship history. They're finally maybe starting to figure out that they don't actually hate each other and that there might be something there between them. Also included: How they actually get together, why Derek didn't pursue his NHL dreams, and their first pregnancy scare. Soon To Come: The Lizzie/Edwin chapters and Marti's chapters. The number of chapters each couple gets is proportionate to the length of their relationships, or whatever I feel like writing.

All My Life- Chapter 2: Much to the confusion of the entire student body, Edwin's just broken up with his Super Hot Cheerleader Girlfriend (Part of the reason this chapter hasn't come out yet is that I'm trying to figure out a way to avoid the Mary Sue-ness that's just waiting to come out) and his only remaining ally (aside from family) is not necessarily the Most Popular Girl On Campus (far from it). Needless to say, the Ex-Girlfriend's friends are making Edwin's life miserable and even Lizzie's in the dark as to what's going on. Soon To Come: The first Run In between Edwin and Sam, Derek proposes to Casey, and Sam comes out to his parents.

A Moment Like This- Casey finds out her parents are divorcing. I'm not actually taking this story too seriously It's just a series of drabbles when I want to update something but don't have the time to put into a decent chapter. I've got a list of moments that I would like to include, but if there's anything you want to see, let me know.

Dissonance- A Challenge issued from Blaze that I accepted more than a year ago. Casey and Derek have both made a name for themselves in show business. Casey's an actress and Derek's a musician. Derek's band is recording a song for an upcoming movie and the deadline is fast approaching. When Derek opens his big mouth and their lead singer (conveniently also his ex-girlfriend) quits the band. So of course it's up to him to fix it. If only he could convince Casey to come and sing with them. Luckily, she owes him big time. But when the tabloids catch wind of these two enemies working together, it's going to turn into a whole lot more than saving the band and repaying a favor.

Side Note: I love writing and when I go to my mental happy place I'm imaging story lines. Unfortunately, I don't have the time to do much writing all that often. I hope that won't cause me to lose readers, but I definitely understand. Please accept my apologies for this.
