I've been writing for a while, not always fanfiction, but occasionally I get a fanfic idea too good to pass up and I compulsively have to write it. I'm actually a roleplayer, playing as the character of Aerith... but a little differently. Post-death, and all the fun psychological stuff that comes with.

So I decided to start posting some stuff based on my interpretation of Aerith of Final Fantasy VII. She's not a typical Aerith by any means. She drinks, she smokes, she gets into dysfunctional relationships, makes a lot of bad decisions.

It's not all based on roleplay events and experiences, but is certainly influenced by it, as well as those that play the roles of other characters. Or sometimes I get bored and just completely make something up for my beloved character. Anyway, the first story (a fic challenge, really), One Hundred, is now up, sllowly being posted chapter by chapter. It's a collaborative effort, contributions here and there from my other roleplaying friends.

(Date: long ass time ago) Seems some of you are having trouble following One Hundred. Understandable. Soooo... I'm going to post some trivia in here in hopes that it clarifies a few things. (Ripped straight from my DA journal)

AtW = Aerith the Wicked.

Most of it is RenoxAerith stuff, Reno being the 'leading man' as my friend says. They started as drinking buddies, then it became an affair, and then it just became some twisted all-encompassing obsession that neither of them seem to want, but can't really resist.

Aerith works unofficially for ShinRa, something of an off-the-record Turk.

She's also a raging alcoholic!

Al is a reference to a completely different character in a completely different universe, but I like to use him as comic relief, kinda.

Earlier stuff takes place in Midgar, later stuff in Edge (though there have been a couple of inconsistencies with this). She tends to float back and forth between both.

Works in progress:

One Hundred - A challenge fic, no chronology to speak of. A series of oneshots, drabbles, and serials that tell a story of Aerith's life and history, post her return to life.

My latest brainchild:

The Nile's Edge - This is actually going to be a linear story (that means chronology! I knew I could do it!), Reno and Aerith central. Inspired by many songs, primarily The Niles Edge by VAST. Dark, twisted, and kinda cruel at points, this one won't be all that fluffy and bright. I have a sense of humor, so don't worry, it won't be just like reading an obituary. It's sort of based on their relationship as depicted in One Hundred, but I've taken some liberties. Well, a whole new direction really. I'll explain more on this as I get further into the story.
