I am a 56 year old electrician in Wisconsin.

I was introduced to fan fiction by my daughter.

My greatest suspicion about fan fiction is that the best book seven has already been written by either chem prof, mcjazzman32, Gabilian or Schlamboozle.

I doubt I can do as good a job as any of them but I think my story is OK or it wouldn't be here. I hope to have at least a chapter a week but that's been hard to meet, lately. I started this story near the end of 2006 and hope to finish it by the end of 2015. After it is done, I also plan to do a limited re-write to fix my poor grammar and spelling. The Mature rating isn't for foul language or explicit sexual situations, but for mature themes. The situations and losses experienced are, in my opinion, too intense for some younger readers.

Please note that Harry Potter and the Story by Dad is not Book Seven compliant since I started it a year before book seven came out.

To all of my faithful readers, I have not abandoned this story. I work on it whenever I can. Unfortunately, I have been on 7 day weeks for about 4 years and with 2 part time jobs on top of that, I have little time left. I am also a new grandfather which also takes up a surprisingly large amount of time.

We just (January 2016) went back to 5 day weeks for a bit so I hope to put out the next, nearly complete chapter soon.

That didn't last long. Back to seven day weeks almost right away.

I retired from running the Breakfast with Santa this year and only do the photos with Santa. Retired from the Easter Egg Hunt a few years ago. It's tough getting old, but at least you can cut back on some of your extra work without feeling bad.

As of this update to my profile (Nov. 13, 2016), I am working on Chapter 145, but have to decide whether or not to include some story arcs that I would like to do that would add many more chapters than just cutting to the chase.

Don't give up hope.
