Twilight Phantom Dragon - Updated June 3, 2013 Deviantart: http:/// Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/user/dragonelf213 Livejournal: http:/// Tumblr: http:/// (main) // http:/// (art and fic) Status: Finished my first year of college. I have summer classes later, but for now, I've got lots of time to write. Name: Call me Dragon for short. Or Dralf (combination of dragon and elf, from other usernames). Meaning: All three parts of my pen-name hold meaning. Twilight comes from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, which is one of my favorite video games and also the first fandom I wrote fic for. Phantom comes from Danny Phantom, my first fandom, the one that got me started in reading fanfic. And Dragon? From my love of dragons. Yes, I lied, they don't all have meaning. Gender: Female Age: 19 Birthday: December 3 Likes: Reading, drawing, playing video games, roleplaying, writing, basketball, hanging with my buddies, fencing, rock music, chocolate, baking, fantasy, post-apocalypse/dystopia fiction, tumblr, feminism Dislikes/Hates: jerks, flamers, people who are over the top serious about fandoms, trolls (the Internet kind, not the monster), people who use chat-speak in their everyday language (there are people in my grade who say things along the lines of "I literally lol'd" -_- ), lots of grammar/spelling mistakes, OOC-ness, Mary/Gary Sues, racists/sexists/homophobes, anyone who pushes beliefs on to others, shipping wars, most OC/canon character pairings (the exception is when it's handled well like in Lady Lasa's stories) Favorite Animal: Frogs and toads are my absolute favorites, but I also like birds of prey (especially bald eagles and ospreys), wolves, and snakes. Mythical Beasts: Dragons of all kinds are my favorite, but closely following them are vampires. And then comes elves, phoenixes, and demons. Favorite Cartoons/Shows: Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Doctor Who, The Big Bang Theory, Firefly, Dollhouse, Community, Kim Possible, Danny Phantom, Teen Titans, Young Justice, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Ben 10 AF/UA, Moonlight, Symbionic Titan, Supernatural Favorite Anime/Manga: Digimon, Pokemon, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, D. Gray-Man, Pandora Hearts, Soul Eater, CANAAN, Baccano Favorite Movies: Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Avengers, Iron Man 3, Harry Potter, My Neighbor Totoro, Spirited Away, Pirates of the Caribbean, Pixer movies (WALLE, Up, and the Incredibles are among my top favorite Pixer movies), The Dark Knight, all other Miyazaki films, The Princess Bride, animated Disney movies (especially The Princess and the Frog and Lion King), Fight Club, Serenity, Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, Zombieland, 21 Jump Street Favorite Books: There's way too many to name, but here are a few that I can think of right now. Harry Potter, A Song of Ice and Fire, The Kiesha'Ra, Lord of the Rings, The Handmaid's Tale (and anything else by Margaret Atwood), Bartimaeus Trilogy, Avatars series, Stephen King books (especially It and Christine), His Dark Materials, The Fire Within and the rest of the series, Battle Royale, Artemis Fowl, A Clockwork Orange, anything by John Green or David Levithan Video Games: Zelda, Sonic, Super Mario Galaxy, Super Mario Galaxy 2, Paper Mario: Thousand-Year Door, Super Paper Mario, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Harvest Moon games, Sims 3 (and the expansion packs) Favorite Bands/Singers: Breaking Benjamin, Icon for Hire, Evanescence, Three Days Grace, Skillet, There For Tomorrow, Dead by April, 30 Seconds for Mars, The Goo Goo Dolls Favorite Music Genres: Rock, alternative, some punk rock and metal Pairings I Support (If I like someone in multiple pairings, I'll bold my favorite if I have one. If I write a lot for that pairing, it'll be underlined) Avatar The Last Airbender: Kataang, Zutara, Sukka, Tokka, Yukka, Smellershot Ben 10: Gwevin, Benlie, Darkcaster/Charmstar, Mytrax Buffyverse: Bangel, Bangelus, Spuffy, Spike/Dru, Spike/Faith, Spike/Willow, Tillow, Oz/Willow, Faith/Willow, Xander/Willow, Xander/Cordy, Xanya, Giles/Jenny, Giles/Joyce, Cordy/Doyle, Fred/Gunn, Cordelia/Gunn, Fred/Wes, Wes/Lilah, Wesley/Illyria Danny Phantom: Danny/Sam, Tucker/Jazz, Tucker/Val Digimon: Sorato, Takari, Pata/Gato, Jyoumi, Koumi, Michi, Daiyako, Takato/Jeri, Henrika, Kozumi, Tazumi, Marcus/Yoshino Doctor Who: Doctor/Rose, Amy/Rory Harry Potter: Ron/Hermione, Harry/Hermione, Neville/Luna, Draco/Luna, Scorpius/Rose, Remus/Tonks Legend of Zelda: Link/Midna, Link/Zelda (except in Twilight Princess), Medli/Komali Teen Titans: BB/Rae, Robstar, Cybee, Cy/Jinx, KF/Jinx Stories in Progress (for non-oneshots) - Currently unnamed Doctor Who fic (Doctor Who): I am working on a multi-chapter Doctor Who fic that veers off from canon in series 1 (though Nine still regenerates into Ten - just differently). I'll start posting chapters once I have several completed and edited to my liking. No idea when that'll be. - Cirque du Monstre (Ben 10): Chapter 8 may or may not come soon. I've lost inspiration for this story and frankly it's been so long since I watched the show that I'm not entirely certain I can write IC for it anymore. However, I would like to finish it, so hopefully I'll be able to kickstart my muse one day. - Pending Title (BtVS/Supernatural Crossover): This is a potential fanfic that I might someday write. Currently, it consists of a vague sense of where I want to go with it, a vague timeline of events, and several assorted scenes I've written. The gist of the story is that Buffy is the younger half-sister of Dean and Sam Winchester. When her mother dies, she goes to live with them and eventually begins to hunt with them. Years later, they've got big bads far worse than the average creature, a prophecy, and lots of drama to deal with! 100 Theme Challenge I finally started the 100 Theme Challenge, using Ben 10 Alien Force. I'll keep a list of all the themes here and as I go, I'll bold them as I write them out. Most of them are Gwevin, but there are some other pairings as well (such as Benlie and even some Mytrax). Once I'm done with this, I'm going to remove the list, but right now, it's here for my reference. THE LIST: Quotes that I like "Forget about your lists and do what you can because that’s all you can do. Phone up the people you miss and tell them you love them. Hug those close to you as hard as you can. Because you are always only a drunk driver’s stupidity, a nervous shopkeeper’s mistake, a doctor’s best attempts, and an old age away from forever." - Iain Thomas "She's like a Reverse Sour Patch Kid. Sweet, sour, gone." -my friend about a girl who's now mean, but used to be nice "I'd rather get my brains blown out in the wild than wait in terror at the slaughterhouse." -Craig Volk "I’d rather be around a passionate nerd than a non-passionate cool person. Because if you lack passion, your soul is diminishing by the second. You have to be passionate about something. Call it obsessed or whatever you want, but be obsessed about something. Obsessed people care. I’m passionate about so many things, it becomes an issue at certain points, but at least you have the ability to feel that much about something" - Matt Cohen "Nothing is easier than to denounce the evildoer; nothing is more difficult than to understand him." -Fyodor Dostoevsky "Everyone is necessarily the hero of his own life story." -John Barth “If only there were evil people somewhere insidiously committing evil deeds, and it were necessary only to separate them from the rest of us and destroy them. But the line dividing good and evil cuts through the heart of every human being. And who is willing to destroy a piece of his own heart?” - Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn "Meddle not in the affairs of the dragon; for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.” –Anonymous “It’s not the face that makes someone a monster, it’s the choices they make.” –Unknown "You are lucky to be one of those people who wishes to build sand castles with words, who is willing to create a place where your imagination can wander. We build this place with the sand of memories; these castles are our memories and inventiveness made tangible. So part of us believes that when the tide starts coming in, we won’t really have lost anything, because actually only a symbol of it was there in the sand. Another part of us thinks we’ll figure out a way to divert the ocean. This is what separates artists from ordinary people: the belief, deep in our hearts, that if we build our castles well enough, somehow the ocean won’t wash them away. I think this is a wonderful kind of person to be." - Anne Lamott “Strength is the capacity to break a chocolate bar into four pieces with your bare hands - and then eat just one of the pieces” -Judith Viorst "The devil came to me last night and asked what I wanted in exchange for my soul. I still can't believe I said pizza. Freaking cravings." "A book is made from a tree. It is an assemblage of flat, flexible parts (still called “leaves”) imprinted with dark pigmented squiggles. One glance at it and you hear the voice of another person, perhaps someone dead for thousands of years. Across the millennia, the author is speaking, clearly and silently, inside your head, directly to you. Writing is perhaps the greatest of human inventions, binding together people, citizens of distant epochs, who never knew one another. Books break the shackles of time ― proof that humans can work magic." - Carl Sagan "You're a great friend, but if the zombies come, I'm tripping you." "My main reason for adopting literature as a profession was that, as the author is never seen by his clients, he need not dress respectively." "The thing about a hero, is even when it doesn’t look like there’s a light at the end of the tunnel, he’s going to keep digging, he’s going to keep trying to do right and make up for what’s gone before, just because that’s who he is." - Joss Whedon “Every day you sit behind your desk, you learn to accept the world the way it is. Well, here’s the rub: heroes don’t do that. Heroes don’t accept the world the way it is. They fight it.” – Lindsey from Angel "Bottom line is, even if you see ‘em coming, you're not ready for the big moments. No one asks for their life to change, not really. But it does. So, what are we? Helpless? Puppets? No. The big moments are gonna come. You can't help that. It's what you do afterwards that counts. That's when you find out who you are." – Whistler from Buffy the Vampire Slayer "It's like a song. Now, I can hold a note for a long time. - Actually, I can hold a note forever. - But eventually, that's just noise. It's the change we're listening for. The note coming after and the one after that. That's what makes it music." – Lorne from Angel “We are only human, and the gods have fashioned us for love. That is our great glory and our great tragedy.” – Maester Aemon from Game of Thrones |
