Author has written 2 stories for Dragon Ball Z, and Pokémon. Thank you for checking out my profile. Stay safe and healthy during the pandemic! Update schedule: (9/31) - I am currently seeking collaborators and/or someone to bounce ideas off of for my rewrite of Second Chance, a Dragon Ball Z story. If you're interested in helping out, please send me a PM. I only ask that you be well versed in either Dragon Ball Z/Super/GT since I use elements from all of those. OC submissions for "The Battle Festival" are officially closed. Thank you to everyone who submitted an OC! The accepted OCs are as follows... Cole Autums - by MaMcMu The first OC will officially appear in chapter 5. The Battle Festival Rival OC Form Information Curious about submitting an OC to my story, The Battle Festival? Here's some handy information that you'll need to know before submitting: The Battle Festival is a month-long event that Trainers from all around the world compete in. Trainers are allowed to compete in any one of eleven different battles featured throughout the event. Should they defeat the Colosseum Leaders and earn all eleven badges before the month is up, they are allowed to take part in the Elite Festival Tournament that begins just a week before the month ends. Winner takes home the title of Festival Master, one hundred million Poké Dollars, and the coveted Space Globe, an extremely rare artifact that, when given to a Pokémon to hold, will double the power of their offensive moves! Many Trainers gather a week before the festival to meet and vacation with others as a little party before it starts (Oran will be arriving a week early). Additionally, if a tournament is open, then Trainers and OCs will compete against one another. If a tournament is not open, then Trainers will compete against festival staff only. Each Colosseum has different conditions for each Trainer to battle under. They are as follows (so far): (NOTE: these are works in progress and are subject to change) - Main Street Colosseum: Disadvantageous Knockout Battles - A regular tournament, but with a twist! Trainers are required to select no more than three Pokémon to compete with and face opponents with teams that have heavy advantages over them. This is not an open tournament, all opponents are festival workers. As such, OCs will not be competing against one another in this tournament. - Gateway Colosseum: Rental Battles - Participants will offer up three Pokémon of their choice into a bin. The Poké Balls are then mixed up, and Trainers must select their teams by random. Trainers must use whatever Pokémon they picked from the random pile, no matter what type or species, and fight their way through the tournament to win. This is an open tournament, and OCs will compete against each other. Unlike the Battle Factory, however, Trainers are unable to swap their Pokémon out. Winning yields the Gateway Badge. - Courtyard Colosseum: Co-op Battles - Trainers must draw numbers and team up with someone completely random in order to fight their way through an open tournament using only one Pokémon each. Winning yields the Courtyard Badge. Open tournament. - Crystal Colosseum: Raid Battles - In this cavern, the crystals react with a strange energy this time of year and that cause Pokémon to Dynamax (or Gigantamax). Trainers must select one Pokémon and team up in groups of five (not randomly paired, but can be if your Trainer doesn't find anyone to partner up with). Together, they must defeat waves of Gigantamaxed Pokémon and make their way deeper into the cavern. After defeating ten Pokémon in a row, all five Trainers win the Crystal Badge. They can choose to advance further to try and set a new record, but no team has made it past 47. Open tournament. - Sunny Park Colosseum: For Glory - A Super Smash Bros. Ultimate themed run where Trainers select one Pokémon to run with, and it is equipped with a Looplet. Both Trainer and Pokémon must run around the park to collect Emeras until time runs out and they are forced to compete in a Battle Royale. From the Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon game, Looplets are items you equip, and Emeras are special stones that offer all sorts of power ups. You can even collect different Emeras and save good ones to equip for the Battle Royale! But they can't be switched out in the middle of battle. Battling is allowed before the Royale, and if your Pokémon is knocked out, then you're eliminated! Last Trainer standing, either in the Royale or in the park, wins and gets the Sunny Park Badge! - Stargazer Colosseum: Fusion Wars - Team up with three Trainers to fuse Pokémon together in a simulation, and then face off against other teams' creations! Make your creature the most challenging to crush your opponents, but be careful, you may wind up facing your own creation. Open tournament. Winning this gives you the Stargazer Badge. Open tournament. - Neon Colosseum: Blind Maze Runner - Trainers and three of their Pokémon have to navigate through a maze of halls that blacks out periodically! In addition to that, there are open rooms you may wander into. Some rooms contain special items you can power up your Pokémon with! Some may be at the end of obstacles, others may just be sitting right in the middle of the floor. Other rooms may even have items guarded by wild Pokémon! If you come into sight of another Trainer no matter where you are in the maze, you can choose to run or fight! Last Trainer standing gets the Neon Badge. Open tournament. (Credit to MaMcMu for coming up with this idea!) - Waterfall Colosseum: Reflection Battle - Compete in a randomized tournament against copies of other Trainers, including yourself! Each copy will have the same exact skills, Pokémon, and items that you and your team possess upon registering. Last Trainer standing (providing they aren't a copy) wins the Waterfall Badge. Open tournament. - Lagoon Colosseum: Lagoon Race Challenge - Team up with a partner to race through a challenging water course in the lagoon! Both Trainers ride a Pokémon, while the other Pokémon fights! They can fight on land, in the water with you, or in the sky. But be careful, there's all sorts of traps on land, sea, and in the air. If one Pokémon is knocked out, both Trainers are eliminated from the race, so teamwork is essential! In order to finish, both Trainers and their Pokémon must cross the finish line, or be the only ones remaining in the race. Winning gets you both the Lagoon Badge. Open tournament. (Credit to MaMcMu for coming up with this idea!) - Magma Colosseum: Elimination Climb - One of the few solo events in the Battle Festival, and also one of the only Colosseums to allow the use of a full team, Trainers and their teams must climb the volcano in the Magma Colosseum. If you come across another Trainer, you must fight them in an one-on-one battle. Once a Trainer's Pokémon is defeated, they can make one of two choices- take their chances and fight another battle to try and knock out their opponent's Pokémon, or run and live to fight another encounter! Should you choose to run, you receive a two minute grace period from the Trainer you just fought. All Trainers who make it to the top with all six of their Pokémon will receive the Magma Badge. If no Trainers have all six of their Pokémon still able to battle, then the Trainer that reaches the top with the highest number of Pokémon left wins. But that's not all! In order to win, you also have to hold your position on the top for a total of ten minutes (not counting the time it takes for a battle). If someone shows up, they can challenge you and take over the volcano. Open tournament. - Sunset Colosseum: ??? In addition to the Badge all Trainers are given, you'll also win money, as well as rare items and prizes that you won't win anywhere else! That's all I have so far. I'm open to ideas and suggestions! So, want to submit a character? I promise, this is the last bit of information you'll have to read, then the form will be all yours. Here are the rules: (subject to change) - You are not allowed to have Legendary or Mythical Pokémon on your team If you're feeling hesitant about submitting an OC, stick around and get a feel for my writing style. See if this is for you. OCs are NOT set to appear until chapters three or four at the earliest. OC submissions will close on May 15th, 2020. (Reminder: just because I'm looking for an aggressive rival doesn't mean yours has to be aggressive. Its entirely possible I may not find an aggressive OC from this bunch and opt to accept a different one instead, or I may even accept two! Who knows? I sure don't haha) Battle Festival SYOC Form Personal Identification -History/Backstory: Personality Relationships/Socializing Talking/Quotes Appearance Outfits Main Pokémon Team (no greater than six) Battling Style Teamwork -How does your OC feel about teaming up with other Trainers? -Development: What kind of development would you like your OC to have?
