"Ethnoentomology is the study of the relationship between insects and people." A lone human staggers his way into Hallownest with no recollection of how he got there. Or any recollection of anything, really. With no skills in survival or combat, his only hope is to follow this small Knight creature around until he finds his way home. Or until this alien disease kills him first.

After the Pure Vessel has transformed from their child stage into an adolescent stage, something seems to be wrong with them. Not only this but the Pale King has to face his feelings regarding the Pure Vessel.

The Radiance and the contagious infection has been eradicated, the black egg has finally released its prisoner, and the land of Hallownest seems ready to move on and start anew.
