I'm a college student, just kind of playing around with some ideas floating around in my head.

HP all the way

Favorite pairings: Harry/Ginny- I'd just like to give my justification for why this is the best pairing in HP, fanfiction or otherwise. First off, you have two people who were literally written for each other. Both have had close encounters with Voldemort (in each case life threatening and left them emotionally scarred), both have similar temperaments and mindsets, which allows one to talk the other down when he/she is highly emotional. Without a doubt, if Harry hadn't been famous and Ginny had met him under normal circumstances, they would have been best friends since book 2, she's easily a better friend then Ron or Hermione ever could be to Harry. Some people complain it's too easy to write, but doesn't that just prove that the relationship is perfect?

I've also found something over time. From the people i know and some of the reviewers i've spoken too, Harry/Ginny is a more popular ship among the male population. My reason for this is that as men we place ourselves in the role of Harry, so when it comes to the HP universe, do we want the boring bookworm, the emo asian chick, or the fun loving spunky redhead? I'm pretty sure almost every guy would go for the redhead.

Other favorite Pairings: Remus/Tonks, Lily/James, Sirius/ anyone who's decently written

Hated Pairings: Ginny/Draco (so so so so sooooo wrong. Those of you who write that stuff should be ashamed), Harry/Hermione, (it has no basis and makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Harry's personality is much too different from Hermione's, from a psychological perspective it's a miracle they were even friends)Any Harry slash (just not a fan sorry), Draco/ anyone (too evil to deserve anyone unless mocking references to his gay relationship with crabbe and goyle which we all know is there), Snape/ anyone (except for a good bellatrix, those stories are usually very well written) Dudley/ anyone (I hate Dudley, why anyone would want to go out with a person like him is beyond me.)

Favorite Characters: Harry pre-OOTP (before he became a whiny emo), Ginny OOTP-PreDH (I like to call those her ass kicking years)
