22 September 2014: I am now at university which means I cannot update as much as I would like, but have patience, something will be published eventually.

11 April 2015: I'm gonna be offline till the end of May as exam season is tough as heck and approaching fast. I hope to post the next chapter (7) for Far Away at some point before that as I have already written most of it, but I will otherwise be inactive till then.

16 September 2015: Finished draft of prologue for Abnormal's sequel- still hasn't got a name :s - but mostly working on own original fiction and a stupid Dark Crystal fanfic which I'm probably never going to publish :P (but have written a whopping great 16,000 words on in the last 10 days alone - which is a LOT for me, as it's rare I will write more than maybe 500 words a day). I honestly don't have very much inspiration to write any of my fanfics here at the moment, it's just a phase though, I want to finish the stories I've already started (including Abnormal's sequel). I'm in a spring-cleaning kind of mood at the moment, so I've recently removed some of my older stories: If You Were Normal (Batman: Arkham), Hiding and Running (Oddworld). I've also discontinued Metallic Pinocchio and possibly Dark Reflection (though this story was never published).

12 December 2015: I'm very busy working as exam month approaches again. I'm not likely to post anything until late January next year (with the exception of the first 2 chapters of Mortality coz I've already finished them). While I can't speak for Abnormal's sequel (which is slightly stagnant at the minute, though still in the works).

22 December 2015: Season of infamy has been released, OMG! Let's hope inspiration strikes :D Also I'm going to be away for a few days without access to the internet, so I won't be able to answer any PMs till January. Merry Xmas.

28 January 2016: EXAMS ARE OVER! *dies* Well, here's the current plan. First I'm going to finish Mortality, it's three last chapters are already written in draft form and just need some polishing up. Then I'm going to focus on Far Away for the next few months, but I will be publishing Abnormal's sequel's (Tolerance?) first chapter at some point too - though steady updates probably won't start up until Far Away is finished.

21 March 2016: Where does the time go?! Oh well, first chapter of Abnormal's sequel is about 98% done, plan to post it soon! Mortality is in the works, but I am determined to finish it within this week as well. Then I will return to Far Away once more.

1 May 2016: Probably should point out I'm not writing at the minute because it's exam month :/

5 June 2016: I'm back. Okay, here's how it's going to work. I'm going to finish Mortality (the newest book of the Dark Crystal is due out in less than a month, and I want to get this fanfic done before that!), then I'm going to resume and finish Far Away (which I want to get done by the end of this summer!) then I will return to Tolerance.

22 July 2016: The last chapter of Mortality is nearly done now.

25 September 2016: It seems I can't manage to deal with any of my stories here at the moment. So I will just be realistic and state here that I am taking a break from this website. I don't know how long I will be gone for, but rest assured that I will come back eventually to finish ALL my stories here. :)

21 January 2019: So starts another year, I guess about three weeks ago I mean. So I am alive. I've graduated now, got my masters' degree, and I'm taking a year out while I attempt to apply to further education to pursue my dream of going into academia. Currently I'm assessing what I will be doing next here. Over the last few years I've been mainly residing on deviantart, and though studies have meant the number of uploads I could manage there have also been limited, it has been my main base now for some time. I have been thinking a lot about Abnormal and its sequel Tolerance, I do definitely want to come back to this series, I may even rewrite parts of it. I'm not sure when I would do this, as I am currently focusing on another story (which I've not uploaded here) for a different fandom, but when I complete that I may at last come back :) I've been thinking a bit about my other stories here too, I do intend to come back to all of them if I can. :)

Some things about me and my writing:

1) I don't do roleplay (more than a few people have PM'd me about this) - I might make an exception if I know you, but this hasn't been the case so far, sorry :(

2) If you are going to self-advertise in PMs or reviews, please at least make sure it is of a fandom I have heard of. I might check your story out if it is related to something I am interested in (but personally, I myself would never advertise my stories to another user in such a way, it's kind of rude).

3) I don't do story requests, I have enough difficulty updating my own stories as it it XP

It's not merely survival of the fittest in the slums of Arkham City, but survival of the luckiest. So far Clara has been lucky but she can't help but wonder when her luck will run out, she can only hope it's not before she figures a way to escape out of the nightmare.

This is basically a story about a young woman who, by misfortune, ends up in Arkham City, and her time fighting the odds to continue surviving. Featuring Killer Croc for extra chaos :3

The Thing from Another World:

Planet 51:

AU (Alternate Universe), Chuck and Katie are both astronauts sent to Planet 51 to document the apparently uninhabited exoplanet, neither expect that there is already any complex life forms already living there, things are made yet more complicated when the two get separated. Katie finds herself having to play along with the charade of being a hostile alien invader in order to convince (or rather trick) the unfortunate General Grawl to stop him from turning her over to the government who want to take her apart.

Note: Chapter 1 up, HIATUS. I plan to rewrite parts of the first chapter, trying my damnedest to continue writing but this story may be put to one side for a while more until I can work a little more on the plot.

Sarah is a red blood cell working for immunity as a secretary, but her dream has always been to be an officer - no matter how impossible she knows this is. When the city of Jake begins to slowly but steadily crumble around them, everyone has their own theories as to why it is happening. Chief among the theories is that it is the work of a virus, but there is little proof to back this up. Without being allowed to conduct an investigation as part of immunity, Sarah teams up with a helpful vaccine (a virus working for immunity), but is this the pathogen's true character?

Will be a series of short chapters, already written, but I still have yet to go through it.

This would be a revision of CrazyOne911's story, which has sadly not been updated in over 10 years now. I have contacted the author, back in mid-2014 actually, but never got a reply. When I have the time I'm going to continue this story, I will take down my attempt should the original author contact me not wanting me to continue. I will make sure to acknowledge them in the description. This was my favorite Oddworld fic ever, and though I would rather read it I will write it if it means that it will continue.

Edit: Gawdammit, I started writing the re-write last year, but I've just discovered I wrote over my old files, gawwd!! :(

UPDATE: TADAA! I have written an entire plot summary, I will begin working right away! I think I'm gonna contact the author again, just to see if I can get a reply this time.

Outsider:

The Dark Crystal:

Not a particularly serious fanfic, began writing it as a joke, was meant to be a series of humorous one-shots set in the castle, of the skeksis squabbling and plotting against each other, as observed by a castle servant called Wynn. It later grew to have somewhat of a plot. Follows the trope of a 21st century human being in another world though, be warned :P (~65,000 words written :3 First draft for the story is now finished 3 November 2015)

If anyone is interested in reading it, 20 chapters are already posted over on deviantart and AO3. Tone became a lot more serious since initial draft, and has a genuine plot now.

Other fics in planning, Dark Crystal ones anyway, include a number of one-shots but hopefully some short (as in 7-10 chapters long) stories planned too.

--Fractured (one-shot) - The great division, seen first through the eyes of the skeksis, and then through the eyes of the urru. DONE. (on dA and AO3)

--Before Thra (relatively short story, few chapters) - Long ago a group of urskek followed a simple believe that was heresy to their society, the belief that individualism was not a sin. Many of them realised the danger, many of them disowned the belief, just 18 remained when the council finally called upon them and banished them to Thra. DONE (on dA and AO3)

--Della's Tale (temporary title, I'm still unsure if I will ever write this one. SkekEkt was going to be the focus) - In the Golden Age of Thra, a talentless spriton gelfling maid is taken on as an apprentice at the Castle of the Crystal.

--Faded Forgotten Things - Set beyond the film, skekSa emerges from her entrapment in the tree and finds herself to be the last skeksis left on Thra. No ship, no treasures, no home, no nothing. Skeksis are a distant memory and the first gelfling she meets is naive enough to think that skekSa is some kind of tree spirit deity. What next? (first two chapters up on AO3)

--Familiar Fable (WIP title, it's a song title) - (set in the Lee book continuity) a chance encounter between an aristrocratic vapran and the deranged lord skekMal leads to a dangerous game of cat-and-mouse, only thing is this "mouse" bites back.
