I took great inspiration for the cruise ship from the official page for Magellan. Please visit the site for pictures.

Summary: Luxurious cruise ship on a 24-day transatlantic journey to Barcelona. What started out as a normal vacation turns sour when past comes knocking on Lisa's door.
But that is the least of her problems. Now fighting the man she long thought dead, she must keep her fiancee safe without him ever knowing along with her own life when one night things take turn for much much worse. More detailed summary as the story progresses (because I don't want to give up anything just yet).

"Middle of Nowhere" is a one-shot based on Kai's wondeful piece My Happy Ending.
You should probably start off by reading that, because that story started the whole one-shot thing.

WHAT I LOVE TO READ:

-SMART STORIES: the kind that are well thought out. With plots that make sense and have CONTINUITY.
One of the best smart stories I've read is "Travelogue" by First Noelle.
Absolutely blew be away. This story is so underrated it hurts. Very original idea, flawlessly well-thought out plot and original characters are so alluring you just don't want to give up reading it ever. I strongly recomend reading it if you haven't already.

-SINISTER/COOL-HEADED/SMART JACKSON: NicolinaN writes amazing Jackson. Although he's too emotion-driven for me at certain times, he's definitely one of the best Jacksons out there. Evil and cold-blooded, passionate underneath. Smart and level-headed. He changes like a chameleon in a flash. One minute he's a ruthless assassin ready to kill, the next minute he's caressing the wounds he's inflicted on Lisa. His bipolarity is alluring to say the least.
And NicolinaN always manages to leave THE BEST images of Jackson in my head. Her perfect almost painful attention to detail leaves nothing to imagination. (Jackson in jeans and t-shirt emegring from the back of the house whisting softly STILL burns in my head. Even though it was but a line in a 14-chapter story, I still remember it vividly).

An honorable mention of my favorite Jackson has to go to Gallivant in her story The Real Deal. This one had me floored. This time it was Lisa who was tresspassing into his private life complete with fiancee and her family.

-CLEVER LISA: not some emotion-crazed half-sobbing wreck of a woman, but rather cool-headed and strong individual.
Again, My hat's of to NicolinaN. We'll Talk Again, This Is Not Love among many many others have the Lisa I would imagine her to be. Spot on characterization.
