Financial problems force Jude and Lucy to give their daughter, Lizzy, up for adoption. Years later, Lizzy finds out about her true family and wants to find her way back to them, following a familiar melody remembered from her past.

Julia is a plain old Liverpool girl, childhood friend of Jude, and oh yeah, she's in love with him. But he leaves her at home when he goes back for Lucy. What will she do to find him and get him back?
