Author has written 5 stories for Sherlock Holmes, Lewis, and StarTrek: The Original Series.

Back before the invention of fire, I wrote stories about Simon and Simon, Star Trek and Sherlock Holmes. I wrote on scraps of paper, backs of envelopes, grocery receipts, yellow legal pads. I even typed stories on an actual typewriter on bond paper, pre-internet and pre-laptop computers. Little did I know that I was writing fan fiction!

Now here we are in the 21st century, wearing our silver foil jumpsuits, walking up walls in our anti-grav boots and zipping around in our solar aircars. The moon base is thriving, we all have instant language translation implants and buns of steel. And of course, the best invention of all is this wonderful site on the interwebs where we can publish our fan fiction and even have people read it! The future is now.

I am not white, not male, not thin, not religious and not a teenager. I have lived in several different countries. I have hair down to my waist and all my own teeth. I know many useless things. I like to laugh. I am a global citizen who wants my cheeseburgers and fries to come with a side order of world peace. I can't text. I want gays to get married, and I want my life to come with a soundtrack. I like cute animals and children. I wish my body was intelligently designed.

I may be sitting next to you on the bus right now, thinking about my next story! Boo-yah!

No slash will be found here-- not that I am against it per se, but I am not interested in writing any.

5/11 Update: Thank you everyone who read and reviewed "In The Course of Justice". That is my most ambitious published story so far. I had the mystery death worked out first and then had to think up all the other details and weave them in. I enjoyed doing the research on Islam, Iraq, dentistry, cuneiforms and gunshot wounds to the head. (Well maybe not that last one.) And I got to learn more about the Geordie language and culture, thanks again to my beta WhyAye.

More Lewis and Hathaway angst to come-- I am working on a follow-up to The Dead of Winter. And something is brewing on the Sherlock BBC front...
