Author has written 9 stories for Dexter, Harry Potter, Mass Effect, Wolf Among Us, Metal Gear, and Witcher. About me: I was born in Northwest England, emigrated from there to Midwest America as a teen, and now sullenly wait for retirement. Story Updates: I'm really shitty at estimating updates, but pretty much all of my fics (aside from Down on the Upside) are subject to update at any time, without warning. The Lesser Kindness: For those wondering where we go after Harry's adventures with Ron and Hermione on The Continent, I've listed out the next few planned arcs, so you lot have an idea of where we're going to be going next. 1. Hail, King That Shalt Be: Saovine, 1054. After a long year on the Path, Harry returns to Skellige with the aim of wintering at Kaer Almhult, the ancestral home of the Bear School Witchers, just as a coup has been crushed by legendary Skellige konung, Harald an Craite. Stuck in Kaer Trolde during the celebrations, Harry is approached by an old friend with an interesting proposition for the King of the Isles. But a dark prophecy hangs over the proceedings like a storm cloud, and before the night is out, the Konung is dead, Harry finds a bounty on his head, and all the would-be kings of Skellige after himself, a Temerian spy, and a mysterious fortune-telling druid. With the combined might of Skellige bearing down on him, Harry must venture forth and discover who is truly behind the assassination of the Konung, before the next King of the Isles buys his crown for the price of the Witcher's head. 2. The Deep Lord: Fall, 1055. Guarding a ship from pirates was supposed to be an easy job to bring in some coin before disembarking at Lan Exeter. Fighting said pirates in the middle of rainstorm, considerably less so. Six days later, Harry finds himself lost at sea, surviving on a plank of driftwood and his constitution alone. Just before delirium sets in, a figure from the past offers help, a deal is struck. But deals are fickle, debts must be repaid, and Harry is left with a brand on his temple and a directive to rob a mad, expansionist king of his most valued possession. 3. The Fortress of the Eagle: Belleteyn, 1056. During a diplomatic function between the major kingdoms of the North, at King Vestibor's palace in Tretogor, Harry, a guest of the Temerian Crown, witnesses the son of the Duke of Leyda murder a Redanian noble in cold blood. When taken by the guard, he loudly protests his innocence, claiming that he had no control over himself, that he'd been hoodwinked. The Redanians take this as casus belli, the Kaedwenis believe the Redanians are behind this to justify a war effort, Temeria is caught between the two, sensing the time is not yet ripe for war. With the estate on lockdown, and tensions running high during an already tense party, and nearly everyone a suspect, it falls on Harry to investigate the truth of the matter, with help from the capable old wizard, Gerhart of Aelle, and his own guest, the charming but naive young sorceress, Philippa Eilhart. 4. Aen Saevherne: August, 1056. Nearly two years after their first meeting, Hermione again solicits Harry's help in Spalla, where he's spent the past few months on the Path with Ron. This time, she wishes to travel across across the great desert at the edge of the world, to far-off Zerrikania, to meet with someone that might help her understand the flow of time and space, and finally ascend to the ranks of Aen Saevherne, one of the elven sages. Offering a truly ludicrous sum of money, both witchers find themselves accompanying the sorceress on a spice trading caravan across The Frying Pan, seeking audience with a sage who fled the Northern Realms centuries earlier, in hopes of luring her back. Coming Soon: 1. The Ashen Crown: Beyond the scope of magical civilization lay wild and dangerous lands untamed by the Statute; the wayfaring Master of Death knows this. But his eternal duty bids him to seek out forbidden knowledge from an ancient, golden land ruled by a deathless sorcerer-king, armed only with a cursed sword and burned crown. Upon arrival, he instead finds a rotting city of undead knights, a vampire with a vocation much like his own, and a fallen legend hoarding the key to saving the world. Part 1 of the Master of Death series. 2. The Dreaming Tower: It is 2021, the world is succumbing to a gnawing fog, and The Master of Death makes a desperate gamble to cross the Veil of Death. Alone, injured, and in uneasy truce with his greatest enemy, Harry arrives at a mysterious tower at the edge of the world with a sentient sword and a need to cheat fate one last time. Part 2 of the Master of Death series. |
