All About Me . . .

Hello! My name is Skippy, and I'm sixteen, British, female, and an avid reader and writer. I'm also a procrastinator, chocoholic, A Level student, grammar nut, and self-confessed bibliophile. One day, I want to have a book published . . . well, I'm told it's important to have dreams! Eh . . . that's about it, really. I'm not an exciting person, really, so there's nothing else you need to know about me :P

Things I like in fan fic . . .

(and a few things I don’t)

My preferred ships in Harry Potter are mainly the cannon ones, especially Harry/Ginny, Ron/Hermione, Lily/James and Teddy/Victoire, but I also like Charlie or Fred or George/Hermione and some of the more fanon-y ships, like Percy/Penelope, Rose/Scorpious and Neville/Luna.

I love reading all eras of Harry Potter fan fic, but I will confess to having a soft spot for Charlie Weasley the Next Generation. I also seem to like some of the more normally disliked pairings and characters in fan fic – George/Angelina really intrigues me (there's so much you could do with this ship) and I also like Ginny and Fleur, some of the most often hated characters.

I don't read Hermione or Ginny with Voldemort or Draco Malfoy or Snape. Personally, I find those ships highly disturbing, but please don’t take offence if you don’t agree with me!

I try to review everything I read, and would never dream of alerting or favouriting something I hadn’t reviewed – I find it highly rude. Please, please, PLEASE, leave a review if you’re going to alert it – even a simple "I liked this!" makes an author’s day!

TRIO ERA CANNON FICS:

Witch Weasleyand Ron’s Inadequacies are a couple of Ron/Hermione fluffy one shots that probably aren't too suitable for diabetics, as they're a little high on the sugary sweetness! WW was my first ever fic, and probably needs a little editing, which I may get around to when the next blue moon rolls around . . .

Christmas Surprises is a fluffy Christmas thing (no, really) featuring one of my favourite characters (Charlie) as a little kid on Christmas Eve – just some festive Weasleys, and sweet little children – what more could you want? ;o)

TRIO ERA ALTERNATE UNIVERSE STUFF:

Letters: My epic(ish) WIP that’s updated once a decade or so (I promise I’m working on it!). A Charlie/Hermione story, with other mostly cannon couples. Charlie Weasley accepts a placement at work that means he needs a place to stay in the UK for a couple of months, and so Hermione Granger loans him her spare room. Simple, right? Or at least, she thought so . . . but she didn’t bargain on falling in love with the wrong Weasley . . . Will they get together? And if they do, how can they stay together, living in different countries? Update coming mid-Feb, I hope!

NEXT GENERATION STORIES:

The Art of Being Subtle:Updated two or three times a week – Teddy and Victoire think their being so subtle with their "secret" relationship, but they don’t really seem to have realised that everyone else has noticed what’s been going on. Essentially, a series of one-shots featuring the entire extended Weasley/Potter clan, which can be read separately or collectively.

Writing is easy - you just sit by a typewriter and open a vein . . .
