A note on The Littlest Things: I actually lived through a similar situation. It was my inspiration.

So I suck at math. Like, i REALLY suck at math. I mean, i could probably improve if i paid attention and studied, but i'm just too lazy to devote that much of my time to something i dont even like doing.

But one day, i get this really strong urge to study really hard for math and get a good grade on my test. I still get a C. So I am frustrated and disappointed and pissed.

I sprint to my car once the bell rings and go to my gym, which is above an ice rink. And as i'm on the treadmill working out my frustrations i see this girl.

She's probably 12 to 15, but she had down syndrome. And she's skating down on the ice rink below w/ her trainer and she looks like she's having so much fun. And it just made me smile.

Even with my failing grades and everything else that's been piling up, she made my day. Because nothing that i had going on in my life seemed as important as her smile on that ice.

And i'm pretty sure i will always think of her from now on. so The Littlest Things is dedicated to that girl in the red matching sweatsuit. You changed my life. Thank you.
