Author has written 1 story for Once Upon a Time.

I'm a rootless military brat who found myself drifting to a stop in Atlanta, Georgia; I haven't yet gathered the energy to move on. I have been writing both fanfic and original fiction as an occasional hobby since high school, although I've almost never been brave enough to share my efforts with anyone else. If I do post something, rest assured it's a work I've completed. Abandoned fanfic is, in my opinion, one of the great cruelties of ficdom. (One of the others would be fiction with great stories but terrible editing :P)

I've spent most of my teenage and adult life working in libraries and book stores, so I've managed to develop addictions to a staggering number of authors, mostly fantasy and sci-fi. As far as TV shows or movies go... I still enjoy the movies from my childhood, regardless of how primitive they look compared to modern CGI. Yes, Labyrinth tops the list there. Similarly, most of my favorite TV shows have been cancelled for years. I'm always willing to try out a movie or TV adaptation of a book or series I'm fond of, but all too often adaptations violate the works from which they're developed. Repeatedly. Without lube.

Some things I believe that famous people said better than I ever could:

A great many people think they are thinking when they are merely rearranging their prejudices.

(William James)

Seeing, contrary to popular wisdom, isn't believing. It's where belief stops, because it isn't needed any more.

(Terry Pratchett, Pyramids)

Humanity has advanced, when it has advanced, not because it has been sober, responsible, and cautious, but because it has been playful, rebellious, and immature.

(Tom Robbins)

The mind is not a vessel to be filled but a fire to be kindled.

(Plutarch)

Never ascribe to malice that which is adequately explained by incompetence.

(Napoleon Bonaparte)
