Author has written 8 stories for Sherlock Holmes, Sherlock, and A Christmas Carol. Hello, everybody! For me, Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle is one of the most fascinating fictional characters in literature. Sherlock Holmes has been accompanying myself since my childhood, I do not even know when it started. But even in those early days, what I found and still do find most fascinating in the stories is not neccessarily the crime plot, but rather the strong relationship between those two characters, and that is my main focus in writing, too. I believe that love may have many faces, friendship being just one among them. While my first stories are primarily GEN, I later came to become very interested in H/W slash. From the Sherlockian point of view, I think that this idea is very plausible. Did Sir Arthur have the same in mind? Dunno. Are there hints in the Canon that might... or might not... suggest a realtionship that was even more intimate than the bond of friendship Holmes and Watson undoubtedly shared? Yes, there are! Whatever it is, I am sure that there is SOME KIND of love between them, and that is what I usually celebrate in my stories... some of them can be read with your slash goggles on or off, but yes, you will often find m/m themes. I am a fervent admirer of Jeremy Brett and his embodiment of Sherlock Holmes in the Granada series (the fellow youtubers among you might already know that). I have to admit, though, that I am quite stuck on Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman along with the brilliant!MoffGat. So, yes, I LOVE the Sherlock-fandom! Someday I hope to work up the nerves and the vocabulary to come up with a BBC Sherlock story. Being not a native English speaking person, I have found it easier so far to write in the more old fashioned way than in contemporary English. BUT - who knows...? Other than writing fanfiction, in the more-or-less-real world and using my actual mother language I work as an author, freelance- and ghostwriter. So, with real life sometimes causing gaps in my updating (and the last one seems to have really been quite the hiatus), I simply cannot stay away for too long! And that is mainly due to some of the brilliant writers who have given me so much during these recent years. To you out there, THANK YOU SO MUCH!! |
