Author has written 4 stories for Sword Art Online/ソードアート・オンライン, and Knights of Sidonia/シドニアの騎士. Status Update: Currently Writing: Mass Effect: Stardust, Chapter 1 I tend to jump around from fandom to fandom, but keep my old affections alive. I can't imagine I'll often have more than two fics running at a time, but I suppose if I'm in the mood for drabbles or one shots they'll crop up from time to time. If you want to talk about something a story I'm writing, or would like to beta read or collaborate, I'm certainly open to talking. I don't really tend to do one-shots. It isn't that I don't like them, just that it is rare for me to get a spark that doesn't involve heavy reimagining. Much of my writing takes its approach from the Battlestar Galactica Reimagined Series. I take something I enjoy, something I love, and reinvent it. That said, you won't find any sex or coarse language in my writing. I feel that I can tell a good, compelling story, without needing to use those, and I feel that they often cheapen characters. I don't mean to insult anyone who does use them, I just would prefer show the growth and emotional connection than I would want to engage in gratuitous, plot irrelevant material. As for language, I feel one my greatest strengths as a writer is my ability to write organic dialogue, and it is easy to show things without resorting to stock four letter words. For those of you who are enjoying my work, take a moment to say something. A little feedback helps a lot. My recent inactivity is due to things going on in real life and the feeling that Primordials never really got where I wanted it to get to. I will be posting a revised version of it at some point. In the mean time, I will be working on a second project in the Knights of Sidonia fandom. If I review your work and I seem overly critical, I apologize, but I try to make sure every review I leave is in some way at least encouraging. We're all doing this as a labor of love. No need to belittle anyone's efforts in that regard. I tend to fall into the trap of pointing out the little negatives and not praising the big goods. If you're on here and writing, I encourage you to continue, regardless of what others say. We write for myriad reasons. Some people need it as an outlet. Some people use it to hone their skills. We all do it for fun. So, if you're feeling discouraged and you see this, don't let things get you down. Just throw yourself back into it. Current works: Sword Art Online - The Primordials Saga - Rebooted ((Ongoing)) - A much more in-depth look at the world of Aincrad than was presented in the series, touching on a lot of concepts that were reduced to throwaway lines or scenes and exploring the nature of an MMO that played more like a single player fantasy game. Incorporating Sinon because, you know, Sinon. It will eventually explore Aincrad as a location and give better explanations as to why Kayaba chose that for the setting of the game. Follows the story of the show for a bit, then veers off on its own. Asuto. GGO - Hecate's Irregulars ((Ongoing)) - Follows Sinon after the events of the Death Gun incident. While she's still dealing with the shock of those events, Kirito asks her to help out a friend of his. Klein and his friends have decided to become professional gamers. The story follows the six of them as they try to make a living on GGO. Will be significantly more light-hearted and less serious than Primordials. Kleinbeth. Knights of Sidonia - Voyage on the Sea of Stars - ((Ongoing, TaniJiro)) - Focuses more on the tone and events of season 1 rather than the much more stock season 2. Basic premise is, what if Kobayashi wasn't an idiot where Kunato was concerned? Hoshijiro will be kept alive and the story will focus as much on the humans as it will the war with the Gauna. Currently the on hold. Will be updated as I have the inspiration. Upcoming Works: Magic's in the Blood - Harry Potter - Set after the end of Harry Potter, Harry's job as an Auror takes him back to his old stomping grounds to investigate one of the most curious Slytherin's he's come across. The Prefect berates other Slytherin for bullying, citing it as being beneath what a Slytherin aspire to, prefers to spend time around the top students in the other Houses than bother with his own. No, what bring Harry back to the school, and what has him working in the shadows, not even telling his own children that he's there, is the student's keen interest in muggle genetics, and the secrets of magic that might be uncovered there. No Voldemort, at least not for now, and focuses mostly on OCs. Given my typical disinterest in OCs, this would be a bit of a challenge. If I get any messages regarding this, I may start it relatively soon. If not, I'll either do it as my NaNo for this upcoming November, or as a project between arcs in Primordials. Star Wars: The Empire of Jedi - A rewrite of the prequel movies of Star Wars. Anakin will be written in a manner that is truly heroic, and will have valid grounds for his falling away from the Jedi. As Anakin grows up with the clone wars raging all around him, he is forced to stand by and watch as the Jedi keep pushing their own boundaries as to just how far they are willing to go to win the war. When the Jedi move to overthrow the Galactic Republic, Anakin must decide what the role of a Jedi truly is. Does he continue to defend the Jedi Order from the Sith in their eternal shadow war? Does protect the Republic from those who would seek to tear it down? Or does he need to remove himself one step further, and step away from both to best serve the needs of the people, not the constructs that rule over them? Based on a lot of throwaway lines and under explored aspects of the main prequels, and may include some original characters and/or concepts. Mass Effect: Stardust - Set after the events of Arrival, Shepard is convinced to stay in the shadows instead of turning herself in to Alliance custody, having been convinced that trying to face justice for what she's done will only cause more death. Now Shepard must work in the shadows, finding any and every possible edge she can find against the upcoming Reaper invasion. Set after Mass Effect 2. Currently discontinued works: Sword Art Online - The Primordials Saga - This narrative has been replaced by Primordials Rebooted. Despite the amount of positive feedback I received, I started the story after going through a period where I hadn't written or even really read much for years. Blame a bad break up and 2 years worth of collaborative Star Wars for this. As such, the plot was promising, but the execution was flawed at best. Instead of slowly rewriting it and then resuscitating a project that had been dead for nearly a year, I've just decided to start fresh, so anyone who wants to can jump on board while I figure out my new characters. The original will probably be deleted once Rebooted catches up. |
