This is a profile page dedicated to the collaborative writings of those scallywags and scoundrels who fancy themselves fans of Pirates of the Caribbean and have put forth their enthusiasm for said fandom on the pages of fanfiction.

Herein will lie the works of multiple authors, joined in the spirit of camaraderie, Brethrenship, and fun.

Mothers of the Caribbean (Complete)

Affectionately known as MotC, this was a project conceived on a whim after an offhand comment at the Broken Compass forum.

"Freedom mentioned how little is said about Jack's mother, but has anyone else noticed how little any women are mentioned in PotC. I mean, I went on the PotC Wiki and the characters parents are always Captain Teague, Lawrence Norrington, etc. and 'an unknown woman'. They're not even named..." said damsel-in-stress one day.

"It really grates on me. I think someone should write a story...Mothers of the Caribbean."

Tina and Chaos congratulated her on her idea, and Freedom suddenly suggested that it shouldn't be left to the spawning of random plot bunnies, but should be an official and organized compilation.

So here it is. To date, 17 writers have endeavored to put forth their humble offerings, in an effort to bring to life the women behind the captains, the blacksmith, the legends and the Pirate Lords.

Begun By Blood (Complete)

After having so much fun working together on MotC, the Compass crew needed another collaborative project to work on, and so Nytd and Freedom came up with this idea. This is a collection of stories about the adventures and events that led to to the recovery of 882 pieces of cursed gold.

All contributors wrote chapters with a coin number of their choosing, but one that is known to no one else. Once the chapters are submitted, they will be posted according to coin number, but each author doesn't know where his/her chapter will fall.

We hope to have a great deal of fun with this, as we did with MotC!
